How to Catch Blazehowl in Palworld (Location, Skills & Drops)

Blazehowl hero card showing the Fire Pal Blazehowl, Paldeck #112, against a volcanic gradient.

If you are only going to obtain one drop-rate booster in Palworld, make it Blazehowl. Every element has one, each granting +40~80% more items from that element's Pals while it sits in your party — but Blazehowl's element, Grass, covers five of the eighteen headline Level 80 farm targets, more than any other booster in the game. It is catchable from Level 35 and it costs you nothing to carry. Here is where to find it.

Where to Find Blazehowl

Where-to-find card listing Blazehowl's volcanic spawn zones.

  • Volcano orange zoneLevel 35 – 38. The earliest reliable population and the one to take.
  • Volcanic Cavern — Level 36 – 38.
  • Yamijima lava zone — Level 65 – 67.
  • The World TreeLevel 80, which adds the full relic ladder.

Catch the Level 35 – 38 version. The partner skill is identical at every level, so there is no reason to fight a Level 80 one unless you want the relics.

Bring Water attackers — Fire is weak to Water — and wear heat-resistant armor. As with every volcanic catch, the environment is more dangerous than the Pal at that level.

Do not confuse it with Blazehowl Noct, the Dark variant, which is a different Pal with a different booster element — Noct boosts Neutral, not Grass.

Why This Is the Booster to Get First

Card explaining that Blazehowl's Grass boost covers more Level 80 targets than any other booster.

Hellflame Lion grants +40~80% more items from defeated Grass Pals while Blazehowl is in your party. It does not need to be your active Pal, to fight, or to survive anything — it just has to be on the roster.

Palworld has a drop-rate booster for all nine elements, and they all give the same +40~80%. What separates them is how many worthwhile targets their element covers:

BoosterElementLevel 80 targets covered
BlazehowlGrassFive
CryolinxDragonFour
Penking, Faleris AquaFireFewer
MenastingElectricFewer
VaeletGroundFewer

Grass is the widest net, which is the entire argument for prioritising Blazehowl. If your farming time is limited, the booster that applies to the most of your routes is worth more than a marginally better one that applies to fewer.

Two limits worth stating plainly, as with every booster:

  • It does not stack. One Blazehowl is the whole bonus; a second is a wasted party slot.
  • It multiplies quantity, not drop chance. On a drop that varies — Ancient Civilization Parts at 6 – 9, say — that is a genuine increase. On a flat 3% schematic roll, more items per kill does not improve the roll itself.

And note the pleasant overlap. Blazehowl is Fire, and Fire is the counter to Grass. So the Pal that boosts your Grass farming is also the Pal that is good at killing Grass Pals — unlike some boosters, you are not giving up a combat slot to carry it. It is rideable, so it can be your mount for the same trip.

Work, Drops & Stats

Work and drops card showing Blazehowl's Kindling rating, organ and gem drops.

At base Blazehowl covers two jobs:

  • Kindling Lv5 — serviceable, though Renjishi at Lv8 is the ceiling.
  • Lumbering Lv3 — low, and it outranks nothing; note that Kindling (priority 8) outranks Lumbering (15), so a Blazehowl with a furnace nearby will smelt rather than log.

Honestly, do not station it. Its value is the party slot. Put Renjishi on your furnace and keep Blazehowl in the field.

    Its drops:

DropQuantityRate
Flame Organ3 – 5100%
Fire Radiant Gem10 – 20100%

3 – 5 Flame Organ at 100% sits between the budget farm (Tanzee Ignis at 1 – 2) and the bulk one (Blazamut at 10). The Fire Radiant Gem at 10 – 20 (100%) is the more valuable line and puts Blazehowl among the Pals that supply gems by the stack.

At Level 80 in the World Tree it adds the full five-tier relic ladder — 30 – 50 Decayed and 10 – 20 Dormant, both guaranteed.

    At Level 80:

  • HP: 5,100 – 6,360
  • Attack: 760 – 958
  • Defense: 530 – 674

The Defense of 530 – 674 is the soft spot — Blazehowl hits respectably and does not take punishment well, which is another argument for treating it as a carried booster rather than a front-line fighter.

How to Catch Blazehowl

  1. Bring Water attackers. Fire is weak to Water — Shaolong or Azurobe.
  2. Wear heat-resistant armor for the volcanic region.
  3. Do not bring Grass or Ice Pals. Fire beats both.
  4. Take the Level 35 – 38 orange-zone population.
  5. Ultra or Legendary Spheres are plenty at that level.

Practical tips

  • Get this booster first. Grass covers five Level 80 targets — more than any other element.
  • Carry it, do not station it. Kindling Lv5 is fine; Renjishi at Lv8 is better.
  • It does not stack, and it boosts quantity, not drop chance.
  • Fire counters Grass, so it fights well on exactly the trips where its bonus applies.
  • Fire Radiant Gem at 10 – 20 (100%) makes it a gem source as well as a booster.
  • Blazehowl Noct is a different Pal — Dark, and it boosts Neutral, not Grass.

Running your own Palworld 1.0 server

A drop-rate booster only pays off across repeated runs, so it is worth exactly as many farm trips as you can actually make. On a dedicated Palworld 1.0 server your volcanic and World Tree routes stay live around the clock, and your production keeps consuming what you bring home. Full crossplay lets a group share boosters and split targets between them, and one-click backups and automatic updates protect a stockpile built over many trips.

Conclusion

Blazehowl is a Fire Pal found in volcanic orange zones at Level 35 – 38, in the Volcanic Cavern, on Yamijima at Level 65 – 67 and in the World Tree at Level 80. Its Hellflame Lion skill grants +40~80% more items from Grass Pals while it is in your party, and Grass covers five of the eighteen headline Level 80 farm targets — more than any other element, which makes Blazehowl the drop booster to obtain before any of the others. It is also Fire, the counter to Grass, and rideable, so it fights and travels well on exactly the routes where its bonus applies. It drops Flame Organ at 3 – 5 and Fire Radiant Gem at 10 – 20, both guaranteed. Carry it rather than stationing it, bring Water attackers and heat resistance, and do not mistake it for Blazehowl Noct, which boosts Neutral instead.
