How to Catch Azurobe in Palworld (Location, Skills & Drops)

Azurobe hero card showing the Water/Dragon Pal Azurobe, Paldeck #41, against a blue gradient.

Azurobe converts your attacks to Water while you ride it, which makes it the perfect mount for hunting Palworld's best Fire farms — Suzaku and Faleris, both weak to Water and both dropping 10 – 20 Radiant Gems per kill. And at Level 80 it is the only documented source of Water Radiant Gem at 10 – 20 (100%). It is also one of the few strong Pals you can fish out of a pond. Here is how to get one.

Where to Find Azurobe

Where-to-find card listing Azurobe's four spawn routes including a fishing pond catch.

  • Palpagos IslandsLevel 35 – 38, the standard wild population.
  • Whisperwind Cliffs — the boss variant "Lady of the Lake Azurobe" at Level 40.
  • The World TreeLevel 80.
  • Small Fishing PondLevel 11 – 18 at a 4.76% rate.

That last route is the interesting one. A Fishing Pond (Technology Level 31) at your base will eventually produce an Azurobe on its own at 4.76% — better odds than the Large Fishing Pond's 3.66% for Polapup Terra. If you have a pond staffed and running, one may simply turn up.

    The Level 80 drop table:

DropQuantityRate
Water Radiant Gem10 – 20100%
Decayed Ancient Relic30 – 50100%
Dormant Ancient Relic10 – 20100%
Gorgeous Ancient Relic4 – 8100%
Cloth1 – 3100%
Aquatic Pal Fluids2 – 4100%

Water Radiant Gems are among the scarcer elements. In Palworld 1.0's roster they come from Skutlass Ignis, Beakon Cryst and Rayhound Cryst at roughly 1 – 3 at 50%. Azurobe at Level 80 gives ten times that, guaranteed.

How to Catch Azurobe

  1. Bring Ice and Electric. Azurobe is Water/Dragon — Ice punishes the Dragon half, Electric punishes the Water half. Moldron Cryst and Univolt Cryst cover Ice; Prixter Lux covers Electric.
  2. Do not bring Fire or Water Pals. It resists both.
  3. Catch the Level 35 – 38 or Level 40 boss version if you only want the mount — the partner skill is identical at every level.
  4. Or build a Fishing Pond and wait. At 4.76% it will arrive eventually with no fight at all.
  5. Use Sol or Ancient Spheres for the Level 80 population.

Skills & Stats

Azurobe is rideable across water, and while mounted it changes your attack type to Water and increases your Attack by 5~20%.

Type conversion is one of the most practically useful mechanics in Palworld, because it re-types your weapon without changing your loadout. Palworld 1.0 has three documented converters:

  • Azurobe — converts to Water, +5~20% Attack
  • Univolt Cryst — converts to Ice, +5~20% Attack
  • Prixter Lux — converts to Electric, +30~50% Attack

Azurobe's is the one that pays off on the best farming routes. The two richest Fire farms in the game — Suzaku and Faleris, both dropping Fire Radiant Gem at 10 – 20 (100%) at Level 80 — are weak to Water. Ride Azurobe and every shot you fire hits their weakness for roughly double damage, regardless of what weapon you brought.

    Its signature moves:

  • Dragon Meteor (600)
  • Geyser Gush (600)
  • Hydro Laser (450)
  • Dragon Breath (160)

Work and stats card listing Azurobe's work suitability and Level 80 stat ranges.

    At Level 80:

  • HP: 5,300 – 6,620
  • Attack: 700 – 880
  • Defense: 650 – 830

Middling stats — Azurobe is carried by its partner skill and its drop table, not its combat numbers.

At base, Watering Lv4 is modest but sufficient to staff a Crusher, which needs Watering rather than Handiwork and is the station most players struggle to fill.

It hatches from a Large Damp Egg at CombiRank 1,830 — high enough that catching or fishing is the easier route.

Practical tips

  • Ride it to farm Suzaku and Faleris. Water conversion turns any weapon into a counter for the two best Fire farms.
  • Farm the Level 80 population for Water Radiant Gem at 10 – 20 (100%) — the only documented source at that rate.
  • A Small Fishing Pond catches it passively at 4.76%. Build one and stop hunting.
  • Its relic table matches the best in the game — Suzaku, Orserk, Jormuntide and Kingpaca.
  • Watering Lv4 clears the Crusher requirement, which is harder to staff than it looks.

Running your own Palworld 1.0 server

A fishing pond that catches Azurobe at 4.76% only works if it is fishing while you are elsewhere — which is exactly what a persistent world provides. On a dedicated Palworld 1.0 server your ponds keep producing and your Relic Recycler keeps processing farm hauls around the clock. Full crossplay lets a group split World Tree routes, and one-click backups and automatic updates keep it all safe.

Conclusion

Azurobe is a Water/Dragon Pal found at Level 35 – 38 on the Palpagos Islands, as the Level 40 boss "Lady of the Lake" at Whisperwind Cliffs, at Level 80 in the World Tree, and passively from a Small Fishing Pond at 4.76%. Its partner skill converts your attacks to Water with a 5~20% Attack boost, which makes it the ideal mount for farming Suzaku and Faleris — the two richest Fire targets in the game. Its Level 80 population is the only documented source of Water Radiant Gem at 10 – 20 (100%) and carries the same best-in-class relic table as Suzaku, Orserk, Jormuntide and Kingpaca. Bring Ice and Electric attackers.
