How to Catch Blazamut in Palworld (Location, Skills & Drops)

Blazamut is the answer to a problem almost every Palworld base eventually hits: Coal. It drops 10 Coal at a 100% rate, plus 10 Flame Organ and 10 – 20 Fire Radiant Gem, all guaranteed — three separate stacks of materials from a single kill, in a game where most Pals hand you one. It is also Mining Lv7, second only to Aegidron, and catchable from Level 30. If you are still mining coal by hand, this guide is the fix.

Where to Find Blazamut

- Volcanic zone — Level 30 – 35. The earliest catchable population and the one to target.
- Volcano Island — Level 46 – 50.
- Mount Obsidian Trail — the Alpha at Level 52.
- Pal Recruiters — Level 40 – 70 across several regions.
- The World Tree — Level 80, which is where the relic ladder appears.
Catch the Level 30 – 35 volcanic population. Blazamut's work suitability and its Coal, Flame Organ and Fire Radiant Gem drops are identical at every level — a Level 30 Blazamut mines exactly as well as a Level 80 one, and hands you the same 10 Coal. There is no reason to fight the Level 52 Alpha for a base worker.
Bring heat-resistant armor. The volcanic region will do more damage to you than Blazamut will at that level.
The Drop Table That Pays Three Times

| Drop | Quantity | Rate |
|---|---|---|
| Coal | 10 | 100% |
| Flame Organ | 10 | 100% |
| Fire Radiant Gem | 10 – 20 | 100% |
| Decayed Ancient Relic | 30 – 50 | 100% (Lv 80) |
| Dormant Ancient Relic | 10 – 20 | 100% (Lv 80) |
| Gorgeous Ancient Relic | 4 – 8 | 100% (Lv 80) |
| Glowing Ancient Relic | 2 – 3 | 50% (Lv 80) |
| Glistening Ancient Relic | 1 | 25% (Lv 80) |
The Coal is the headline. Coal feeds the entire refined-metal chain, and the usual answer is a Coal node and a mining crew. Ten per kill at 100% turns a hunting trip into a supply run.
The Flame Organ at 10 per kill is the largest single-source quantity documented anywhere. For comparison, the standard budget farm — Tanzee Ignis at Level 10 – 12 — gives 1 – 2 per kill. Blazamut gives ten. If you need Flame Organ in bulk for the Reptyro Charm (x20) or ammunition, this is far and away the fastest route, provided you can handle a Level 30 Fire Pal.
And the Fire Radiant Gem at 10 – 20 (100%) puts Blazamut in the small group of Pals that supply Radiant Gems by the stack rather than by the handful.
At Level 80 in the World Tree it adds the full five-tier Ancient Relic ladder on top, at the same rates as Suzaku — 30 – 50 Decayed and 10 – 20 Dormant, both guaranteed.
Work, Stats & the Stacking Buff

At base, Blazamut covers two jobs:
- Mining Lv7 — joint second in the entire game, behind only Aegidron at Lv8 and level with Blazamut Ryu, Astegon, Knocklem and Knocklem Ignis.
- Kindling Lv6 — solid, though Renjishi at Lv8 is the ceiling there.
That second job is a problem, not a bonus. Palworld's work priority order puts Kindling at 8 and Mining at 14, so a Blazamut with a furnace in range will smelt instead of mine, every time. If you want it mining, put it on a base with no Kindling work available.
At Level 80:
- HP: 4,900 – 6,100
- Attack: 850 – 1,075
- Defense: 770 – 986
That Defense is genuinely high — it matches Jetragon and Frostallion, both legendaries. Blazamut is a durable Pal, which suits the partner skill.
Magma Kaiser grants +5~10% Attack and Defense to your active Pal every time you defeat an enemy, lasting 20 seconds and stacking five times. At full stacks that is +25~50% to both stats at once. It does nothing at the start of a fight and everything in the middle of a long one — which makes it a clearing skill, not a boss skill. Take it into a base raid or a dungeon floor, not into a single-target Alpha fight.
Its offensive kit tops out at three 600-power moves: Brawn Impact (600, Fire, exclusive), Fire Ball (600) and Rocky Impact (600), with Ignis Rage (500) below them.
How to Catch Blazamut
- Bring Water attackers. Fire is weak to Water. Shaolong, Azurobe or any Aqua variant.
- Wear heat-resistant armor for the volcanic zone — the environment is the real threat at Level 30.
- Do not bring Grass or Ice Pals. Fire beats both.
- Take the Level 30 – 35 population unless you specifically want the Level 80 relic drops.
- Ultra or Legendary Spheres are enough at Level 30 – 35; save Ancient Spheres for the World Tree version.
Practical tips
- 10 Coal at 100% — the fastest coal in the game if you would rather fight than mine.
- 10 Flame Organ per kill beats Tanzee Ignis's 1 – 2 by a factor of five to ten.
- Catch it at Level 30 – 35. Drops and work ratings do not scale with level.
- Mining Lv7, but Kindling Lv6 outranks it. Keep it away from furnaces or it will never touch the ore.
- Magma Kaiser needs kills to build. Bring it to raids and dungeons, not to single Alphas.
Running your own Palworld 1.0 server
A Blazamut on an Ore Mining Site is only worth its Lv7 rating for the hours it actually spends working. On a dedicated Palworld 1.0 server your mining crew keeps digging while you are offline, so the coal and ore are stacked when you log in rather than starting from zero. Full crossplay lets a group split the volcanic route, and one-click backups and automatic updates protect a base that took real hours to staff.
Conclusion
Blazamut is a Fire Pal found from Level 30 – 35 in the volcanic zone, at Level 52 as the Mount Obsidian Trail Alpha, and at Level 80 in the World Tree. It drops 10 Coal, 10 Flame Organ and 10 – 20 Fire Radiant Gem — all at 100%, which makes one kill worth three farming trips, and the Flame Organ figure alone is five to ten times what the usual budget farm gives you. At base it is Mining Lv7, second only to Aegidron — but its Kindling Lv6 outranks Mining in the work priority order, so keep it away from furnaces if you want ore. Bring Water attackers and heat-resistant armor, and catch the Level 30 version: nothing about it improves with level except the relic table.
