How to Catch Cryolinx in Palworld (Location, Skills & Drops)

Cryolinx does nothing impressive on its own — four work suitabilities, none above Lv4, and a middling stat line. It is on this list because of one number: Dragon Pals drop 40~80% more items when it is in your party. Palworld 1.0's endgame roster is overwhelmingly Dragon-typed, which means Cryolinx quietly increases the yield of most of your World Tree farming without ever entering the fight. Here is where to find it and how much it is actually worth.

Where to Find Cryolinx

- Astral Mountains Cavern — Level 42 – 45.
- Snow zones — Level 44 – 49.
- Black Marketeer — Level 50 – 55, at a 41% chance of being in stock. If you would rather buy than hunt, check the merchant rotation.
- Snowy-zone incidents — Cryolinx is a signature spawn for that biome.
Bring cold-resistance gear, and bring Fire attackers — Ice is weak to Fire. At Level 42 – 49 this is a straightforward catch; Ultra or Legendary Spheres are plenty.
It hatches from a Large Frozen Egg at CombiRank 1,040.
Dragon Hunter: What 40~80% Is Worth

Dragon Hunter grants +40~80% more items from defeated Dragon Pals while Cryolinx is in your party. It does not have to fight, be active, or survive anything — it just has to be on the roster.
Palworld has a drop-rate booster for all nine elements, each at the same +40~80%. Cryolinx is the Dragon one, and Dragon is the element that matters most in 1.0:
| Farm target | Element | Booster |
|---|---|---|
| Orserk | Dragon | Cryolinx |
| Jormuntide | Dragon | Cryolinx |
| Astegon | Dragon | Cryolinx |
| Quivern | Dragon | Cryolinx |
Cryolinx covers four of the eighteen headline Level 80 farm targets — second only to Blazehowl, which covers five on the Grass side.
Why the timing is good. The 1.0 endgame roster leans heavily Dragon, which is exactly why the Cryst variant family became so valuable — Ice is the Dragon counter. So the party you already bring to fight Dragons is an Ice party, and Cryolinx slots into it as a passive multiplier without costing you a combat slot's worth of effectiveness.
Two limits worth stating plainly:
- It does not stack. One Cryolinx is the entire bonus; a second is a wasted party slot.
- It multiplies quantity, not chance. On a drop that already varies — Ancient Civilization Parts at 6 – 9, say — this is a real increase. On a flat 3% schematic roll, more items per kill is not the same as a better roll, though schematic hunting still benefits from everything else you pick up on the way.
Work, Ride & Stats

At base, Cryolinx is a generalist with no strong suit:
| Job | Level |
|---|---|
| Lumbering | Lv4 |
| Cooling | Lv4 |
| Transporting | Lv4 |
| Handiwork | Lv3 |
Four jobs is broad, but Lv4 on a scale that runs to Lv8 is mid-table everywhere. And the work priority order will pull it upward — Handiwork and Transporting both outrank Lumbering (15) and Cooling (19) — so a Cryolinx at a busy base will craft and haul.
The honest recommendation: do not use Cryolinx as a base worker. Its value is the party slot, not the workbench. Put a Bastigor or a Frostallion on your cooler and keep Cryolinx in the field.
It is rideable, at a ride sprint speed of 900 — usable, though well short of Jetragon's 3,300.
Its drops:
| Drop | Quantity | Rate |
|---|---|---|
| Ice Organ | 1 – 3 | 100% |
As an Alpha it adds:
| Drop | Quantity | Rate |
|---|---|---|
| Ancient Civilization Parts | 6 – 8 | 100% |
| Precious Claw | 6 – 8 | 100% |
At Level 80:
- HP: 4,900 – 6,100
- Attack: 700 – 880
- Defense: 710 – 908
The Defense is the best part of that line and the Attack is unremarkable — which suits a Pal you carry rather than fight with. Note the Cryolinx Ring accessory shares its name and is a separate item, built from Pure Quartz among other materials.
How to Catch Cryolinx
- Bring Fire attackers. Ice is weak to Fire.
- Wear cold-resistance gear for the Astral Mountains and snow zones.
- Do not bring Grass or Ground Pals. Ice beats both.
- Take the Level 42 – 45 Astral Mountains Cavern spawn — the earliest reliable one.
- Ultra or Legendary Spheres are sufficient at this level range.
- Or check the Black Marketeer — a 41% chance of stock at Level 50 – 55 saves the trip entirely.
Practical tips
- Carry it, do not station it. The party slot is the whole value; its Lv3 – Lv4 work ratings are not.
- +40~80% items from Dragons, and the 1.0 endgame is Dragon-heavy. Bring it to every World Tree farm run.
- It does not stack — one is the entire bonus.
- It boosts quantity, not drop chance. Great on 6 – 9 part drops, not a fix for a 3% schematic.
- Your Dragon-hunting party is already an Ice party — Cryolinx costs you nothing to include.
- Blazehowl covers five targets to Cryolinx's four — if you can only get one booster first, take Blazehowl.
Running your own Palworld 1.0 server

Full crossplay lets a group share boosters and split the Dragon targets between them, and one-click backups and automatic updates protect a stockpile built over many trips.
Conclusion
Cryolinx is an Ice Pal found in the Astral Mountains Cavern at Level 42 – 45, across snow zones at Level 44 – 49, and from the Black Marketeer at a 41% stock chance. Its own numbers are unremarkable — four suitabilities topping out at Lv4, and a Level 80 Attack of 700 – 880 — and none of that is why you want one. Dragon Hunter grants +40~80% more items from every Dragon Pal you defeat while Cryolinx sits in your party, covering Orserk, Jormuntide, Astegon and Quivern among the game's headline Level 80 targets. Since Palworld 1.0's endgame is Dragon-heavy and Ice is the Dragon counter, the party you already bring is the party it belongs in. Carry it, do not station it — and if you can only obtain one booster first, Blazehowl covers five targets to Cryolinx's four.
