How to Catch Nitemary in Palworld (Location, Skills & Drops)

Nitemary hero card showing the Dark Pal Nitemary, Paldeck #148, against a deep purple gradient.

Nitemary grants +100~200% more Pal Souls from everything you defeat — the largest drop bonus of any Pal in Palworld, more than double what the nine elemental boosters give. Pal Souls are what you spend on condensing and on the Statue of Power's level track, and they are the resource that quietly limits both. Carrying one Nitemary can roughly triple your soul income across a farming session, and it never has to enter the fight.

Where to Find Nitemary

Where-to-find card listing Nitemary's Dark Island and cavern spawns.

  • Stone Pillar CaveLevel 50 – 52, and a Level 60 population.
  • Feybreak Cavern — Level 56 – 58.
  • Dark Island incidents — Level 54 – 57.
  • Dark Island ice area — Level 65 – 67.

Take the Stone Pillar Cave spawn at Level 50 – 52 — the earliest and easiest of the four.

Bring Dragon attackers. Dark is weak to DragonQuivern, Jormuntide or Jetragon. Legendary or Ultimate Spheres are appropriate in the fifties.

Do not confuse it with Nitemary Botan, the Palworld 1.0 Grass variant, which gives +15~30% Defense to Grass Pals — a completely different and far narrower effect. The soul bonus belongs to base Nitemary.

Soul Collector: The Biggest Drop Bonus in the Game

Card comparing Nitemary's +100~200% soul bonus against the +40~80% elemental boosters.

Soul Collector grants +100~200% more Pal Souls from defeated Pals while Nitemary is fighting alongside you.

Put that next to the alternatives:

Booster typeBonus
Nitemary — Pal Souls+100~200%
Dumud Gild — Gold+100~200%
Splatterina — Meat Cleaver+100~200%
Jelliette / Jellroy — fishing, salvage+55~95%
All nine elemental boosters+40~80%

Nitemary sits in the top tier, and its resource is the one everybody runs short of. The elemental boosters at +40~80% each apply to a single element; Nitemary's bonus applies to every Pal you kill, of every element, because souls are element-agnostic.

Why Pal Souls matter more than they look:

  • Condensing. Raising a Pal's star rank costs duplicates, and the Statue of Power has a separate 20-level track raised with Pal SoulsSmall → Medium → Large, and Giant Pal Souls for levels 11 – 20.
  • Pal Soul tiers do not convert freely. You can push souls up a tier at a Crusher — 2 Medium into 1 Large for 10 gold — so more low-tier souls genuinely become more high-tier souls.
  • Giant Pal Souls come from Rampaging Pals (100%), Salvage Rank 2 (44.2%) and the high dungeon tiers.

So the play is simple: carry Nitemary on every farming run you were doing anyway. Dungeon clears are the obvious pairing — soul rates there sit at 33 – 42% across every tier, and doubling or tripling the quantity on top of that is the single biggest lever available on soul income.

    Two limits, as always:

  • It does not stack. One Nitemary is the entire bonus.
  • The skill says "while fighting together", so unlike the party-slot boosters, Nitemary needs to actually be out with you rather than sitting on the roster.

Work, Drops & Stats

Card showing Nitemary's work suitability, drops and Level 80 stats.

At base Nitemary is Handiwork Lv4 and Transporting Lv2 — mid-table and low respectively, on a scale that runs to Lv8. Solenne is Handiwork Lv8 if you want a real crafter.

Do not station it. Its value is the field, not the workbench.

    Its drops:

DropQuantityRate
Small Pal Soul1100%

As an Alpha it drops considerably more:

DropQuantityRate
Ancient Civilization Parts6 – 7100%
Precious Pelt2 – 3100%

6 – 7 Ancient Civilization Parts guaranteed from the Alpha is a strong haul — they gate most endgame recipes.

    At Level 80:

  • HP: 5,100 – 6,360
  • Attack: 670 – 841
  • Defense: 680 – 869

Genuinely balanced, with Defense slightly ahead of Attack — which suits a Pal that has to be out fighting for its skill to apply. Unlike the party-slot boosters, Nitemary needs to survive, and its stat line supports that.

How to Catch Nitemary

  1. Bring Dragon attackers. Dark is weak to Dragon.
  2. Do not bring Neutral Pals. Dark beats Neutral.
  3. Go to the Stone Pillar Cave at Level 50 – 52 — the earliest population.
  4. Legendary or Ultimate Spheres are appropriate; Ancient is overkill.
  5. Breed the duplicates at CombiRank 1,230 from a Large Dark Egg.

Practical tips

  • +100~200% Pal Souls is the biggest drop bonus in the game — more than double any elemental booster.
  • Souls are element-agnostic, so the bonus applies to everything you kill, not one element.
  • It must be fighting with you, not just sitting in the party — different from the elemental boosters.
  • Pair it with dungeon runs. Soul rates there are 33 – 42% at every tier; quantity is the lever you control.
  • Feed the results to the Statue of Power's 20-level soul track, and to condensing.
  • Nitemary Botan is a different Pal — Grass, with a Defense buff and no soul bonus.

Running your own Palworld 1.0 server

Souls accumulate across many runs rather than one, which makes a soul booster worth exactly as many farming sessions as you can fit in. On a dedicated Palworld 1.0 server your dungeon and Dark Island routes stay live around the clock, and your Crusher keeps converting souls up a tier while you are offline. Full crossplay lets a group share the booster and split the routes, and one-click backups and automatic updates protect a condensing project measured in weeks.

Conclusion

Nitemary is a Dark Pal found in the Stone Pillar Cave at Level 50 – 52, in the Feybreak Cavern at Level 56 – 58 and across Dark Island at Level 54 – 67. Its Soul Collector skill grants +100~200% more Pal Souls from everything you defeat — the largest drop bonus in Palworld, more than double the +40~80% the nine elemental boosters give, and it applies to every element because souls are element-agnostic. Since Pal Souls fund both condensing and the Statue of Power's separate 20-level track, that bonus compounds into every other upgrade you are working on. The one catch is that Nitemary must be fighting alongside you, not merely in the party — so its balanced 670 – 841 Attack and 680 – 869 Defense matter. Bring Dragon attackers, take the Level 50 – 52 spawn, and do not mistake it for Nitemary Botan.
