The Crusher in Palworld 1.0: Every Conversion Recipe

The Crusher unlocks at Technology Level 8, costs almost nothing, and quietly solves three of the most common material problems in Palworld: running out of Paldium Fragment, having the wrong tier of Pal Soul, and needing Fiber faster than you can gather it. Most players build one, use it for stone once, and never come back. Here is everything it actually converts.

Building It

Field Detail
Technology Level 8
Recipe Wood x50, Stone x20, Paldium Fragment x10
Requires Watering suitability Lv1
HP / Defense 4,000 / 3
Handiwork workload 80

Note the staffing requirement: a Crusher needs a Watering Pal, not a Handiwork one. That trips people up, because every other early production station wants Handiwork. Among Palworld 1.0's new Pals, Shaolong at Watering Lv8 is the best in the update, with Ophydia (Lv5)SolmoraSolmora Lux and Skutlass (all Lv4) as alternatives.

There is also a Refrigerated Crusher variant, which handles the same conversions.

Material Conversions

Input Output Time
1 Wood 2 Fiber 5 seconds
5 Stone 1 Paldium Fragment 10 seconds
2 Ore 1 Paldium Fragment 10 seconds

The Paldium recipes are the important ones. Paldium Fragment goes into every sphere tier in the game — Mega, Giga, Hyper, Ultra, Legendary, Ultimate, Exotic, Sol and Ancient — plus the Mechanical Bow (x200) and the Laser Sword (x250). Being able to manufacture it from stone, a material you cannot avoid accumulating, means you can never truly run out.

1 Wood into 2 Fiber in 5 seconds is the other quietly excellent recipe. Fiber is consumed constantly by early recipes, and doubling wood into it is far faster than gathering bushes.

Sphere and Soul Conversions

Sphere upgrades. The Crusher converts spheres up the ladder — from Pal Sphere all the way to Ancient Sphere — at a cost of 1 input sphere plus 1 to 30 Paldium Fragments depending on the tier.

That matters because the sphere ladder is steep. A Legendary Sphere has Capture Power 38; an Ancient Sphere has 64. If you have a stack of mid-tier spheres gathering dust and a pile of Paldium, the Crusher turns them into something that will actually hold a Level 79 Alpha.

Pal Soul conversions — the recipe most players never discover:

Input Output Cost
2 Medium Pal Souls 1 Large Pal Soul 10 Gold Coins
2 Large Pal Souls 1 Giant Pal Soul 10 Gold Coins
Large Pal Soul x2 1 Giant Pal Soul 1,000 Gold Coins

Ten Gold Coins is nothing. This means no Pal Soul is ever wasted — the Small and Medium Souls piling up from ordinary kills are Giant Souls at a 4:1 ratio. If the Statue of Power wants Giant Souls and you only have Mediums, feed the Crusher instead of going hunting.

Why It Deserves a Permanent Slot

  1. Paldium shortages become stone problems. Five stone gets you a fragment, and stone is the most abundant material in the game.
  2. Soul tier mismatches disappear. Convert upward for 10 gold rather than farming a specific boss.
  3. Fiber bottlenecks vanish. One wood, two fiber, five seconds.

For a Technology Level 8 building costing 50 wood, 20 stone and 10 Paldium, that is an extraordinary return. Build one early, staff it with a Watering Pal, and leave it running for the rest of the save.

Practical tips

  • Staff it with a Watering Pal, not Handiwork. Shaolong at Watering Lv8 is the best in 1.0.
  • Never discard Small or Medium Pal Souls. Two Mediums become a Large; four become a Giant, for 10 gold each step.
  • Feed it stone whenever you have surplus. Paldium is consumed by every sphere you will ever craft.
  • The 1 Wood → 2 Fiber recipe is the fastest fiber source in the early game.
  • Sphere upgrades cost 1 – 30 Paldium depending on tier — a good use for mid-tier spheres you have outgrown.

Running your own Palworld 1.0 server

Conversion stations are pure background work — you queue them and walk away. On a dedicated Palworld 1.0 server your Crusher keeps turning stone into Paldium and souls into higher tiers whether or not anyone is logged in, so materials accumulate on their own schedule. Full crossplay lets a group feed one shared base, and one-click backups and automatic updates keep the stockpile safe through every patch.

Conclusion

The Crusher unlocks at Technology Level 8 for Wood x50, Stone x20 and Paldium Fragment x10, and needs a Watering Pal to run. It converts 1 Wood into 2 Fiber5 Stone or 2 Ore into 1 Paldium Fragment, upgrades spheres all the way to Ancient Sphere, and — most usefully — converts 2 Medium Pal Souls into 1 Large and 2 Large into 1 Giant for just 10 Gold Coins each. That last recipe means no soul you pick up is ever wasted. It is one of the cheapest buildings in the game and one of the few you should keep running permanently.
