How to Catch Jetragon in Palworld (Location, Skills & Drops)

Jetragon hero card showing the Dragon Pal Jetragon, Paldeck #202, against a violet gradient.

Jetragon is the fastest mount in Palworld and the only Pal in the game with Gathering Lv8 — the sole occupant of that ceiling, with the next best a full level behind. It also lets you fire a missile launcher while flying, which is not a phrase that applies to anything else in the game. It exists in exactly one place, at exactly one level, and this guide covers how to get there and what it is actually worth once you have it.

Where to Find Jetragon

Where-to-find card showing Jetragon's single Alpha spawn location and level.

Jetragon has no wild population. There is a single Alpha at Level 70, in The Azure Tapestry at coordinates -553, -1332, in the far south-west of the Palpagos Islands.

That makes it structurally different from every Pal in this series. You cannot farm a low-level version, you cannot grind spawns, and you cannot catch a spare — there is one encounter, and it is a Level 70 Alpha at the top end of the base map. It does respawn, so a failed attempt is not permanent, but each attempt is a trip.

Bring Ice. Dragon is weak to Ice, and this is the single most important preparation step. A 2× matchup is what gets a Level 70 Alpha into the red before your spheres run out — see the capture power guide for why HP matters more than sphere tier.

The Only Gathering Lv8 in the Game

Work suitability card showing Jetragon alone at Gathering Lv8.

Palworld's Work Suitability scale runs Lv1 to Lv8, and Jetragon is the only Pal in the game at Gathering Lv8:

PalGathering
JetragonLv8
Starryon PrimoLv7
HartalisLv7
Frostallion NoctLv7
Venusa, Lyleen, Lyleen NoctLv6

At Lv8 the gathering rate is listed as DropNumRate ×5.5, and Gathering is what harvests your plantations — so this rating turns directly into berries, wheat and every other crop you rely on for Cake.

And here is the part that makes it unusually good: Jetragon has no other work suitability. It is a pure specialist. That matters because Palworld's work priority order distracts generalists — a Pal with three jobs does the highest-priority one — but a Pal with exactly one job cannot be distracted at all. Jetragon gathers, and that is the whole list.

Gathering also sits high in the priority order, unlike Mining (14) or Lumbering (15). So unlike a top-tier miner, a Jetragon on a mixed base still does its job.

Speed, Missiles & Drops

Drops and stats card showing Jetragon's Soralite and Thermal Core drops and Level 80 stats.

Aerial Missile does two things. It makes Jetragon a flying mount, and it lets you rapidly fire a missile launcher while mounted — a mounted weapon that no other Pal provides.

Its ride sprint speed of 3,300 is the highest in the game. For a map the size of the Palpagos Islands plus the World Tree, that is not a luxury — travel time is most of what a farming route costs, and Jetragon roughly halves it against a mid-tier flyer.

    Its drops:

DropQuantityRate
Soralite10100%
Thermal Core1 – 2100%
Diamond130%
Large Pal Soul11%

As an Alpha it also drops:

DropQuantityRate
Ancient Civilization Parts7 – 9100%
Precious Dragon Stone7 – 9100%
Rocket Launcher Schematic 413%

Seven to nine Ancient Civilization Parts guaranteed is a serious haul — they gate most endgame recipes, and this is one of the denser sources in the game.

    At Level 80:

  • HP: 5,500 – 6,880
  • Attack: 940 – 1,192
  • Defense: 770 – 986

That Attack of 940 – 1,192 is at the top of the game, level with Frostallion and above every 1.0 addition documented here — including Eidrolon Ignis at 880 – 1,114. Jetragon is not just a mount.

Its kit runs to Dragon Meteor, Meteorain and Beam Comet, matching the stat line.

How to Catch Jetragon

  1. Bring Ice attackers. Dragon is weak to Ice — Univolt Cryst, Frostallion or any Cryst variant.
  2. Do not bring Dragon Pals. You will lose the matchup you came for.
  3. Feed the Statue of Power first — up to +7.5 Capture Power, permanent, and worth more than several sphere tiers.
  4. Carry Wispaw so back throws grant their conditional +1 to +5 Capture Power.
  5. Chip it into the red, then throw Ancient or Sol Spheres. At full HP the capture factor is only 0.769; in the red it is 1.0.
  6. Bring more spheres than you think. A Level 70 Alpha can absorb a dozen or more.

Practical tips

  • The only Gathering Lv8 Pal in the game, and it has no other job — so nothing distracts it.
  • Ride sprint speed 3,300, the fastest mount available. Travel time is most of a farm route.
  • 7 – 9 Ancient Civilization Parts from the Alpha, guaranteed.
  • Ice, always. No amount of sphere quality substitutes for the 2× matchup.
  • 940 – 1,192 Attack at Level 80 — it belongs in a combat party, not just under a saddle.

Running your own Palworld 1.0 server

A Level 70 Alpha is a trip you may need to make more than once, and a fixed spawn is only useful when the world is live. On a dedicated Palworld 1.0 server The Azure Tapestry is available whenever you have twenty minutes, and your plantations keep producing under a Gathering Lv8 harvester while you are offline. Full crossplay lets a group attempt the Alpha together across platforms, and one-click backups protect a catch that took several runs.

Conclusion

Jetragon is a Dragon Pal with a single spawn: the Level 70 Alpha in The Azure Tapestry at -553, -1332. It is the only Pal in the game with Gathering Lv8 and it has no other work suitability, which makes it immune to the work-priority problem that undermines every generalist. Its Aerial Missile skill makes it a flying mount that fires a missile launcher, with the fastest ride sprint speed in the game at 3,300, and its Alpha drops include 7 – 9 Ancient Civilization Parts and 7 – 9 Precious Dragon Stone, both guaranteed. At Level 80 its 940 – 1,192 Attack is top-of-game. Bring Ice, feed the Statue of Power before you go, and get it into the red before you spend an Ancient Sphere.
