How to Catch Suzaku in Palworld (Location, Skills & Drops)

Suzaku at Level 80 has the best drop table in Palworld, and it is not close. Where most World Tree Pals hand you 1 – 10 Decayed Ancient Relics at a 10% chance, Suzaku drops 30 – 50 of them at 100% — plus every other relic tier, plus 10 – 20 Fire Radiant Gems, plus 5 – 10 Flame Organs. If you are farming relics for Mythical Wood, the Ancient Sphere or the Skillfruit Orchard, this is where you go. Here is how to catch one.

Where to Find Suzaku

Where-to-find card listing Suzaku's spawn populations and its exceptional Level 80 drop table.

    Three populations:

  • Desert regionsLevel 40 – 44, the accessible wild population.
  • Sandstone Plateau WatchtowerLevel 45, a fixed encounter.
  • The World TreeLevel 80, and this is the one that matters.

The Level 80 drop table is extraordinary. Every one of these is documented at Level 80:

DropQuantityRate
Flame Organ5 – 10100%
Fire Radiant Gem10 – 20100%
Decayed Ancient Relic30 – 50100%
Dormant Ancient Relic10 – 20100%
Gorgeous Ancient Relic4 – 8100%
Glowing Ancient Relic2 – 350%
Glistening Ancient Relic125%

Put that in context. Most Pals documented in this knowledge base drop Decayed relics at 1 – 10 with a 10% chance and Glistening at 1 with a 2% chance. Suzaku drops 30 – 50 Decayed at 100% and Glistening at 25% — an order of magnitude better across the whole ladder.

Since Mythical Wood comes from Ancient Relics at 100% across every tier — 1 – 3 per Decayed up to 9 – 11 per Glistening — a single Level 80 Suzaku kill can produce well over a hundred Mythical Wood once recycled. That reframes the Skillfruit Orchard's 200-wood cost from a long project into a couple of good runs.

Fire Radiant Gem at 10 – 20 (100%) puts Suzaku alongside Level 80 Mammorest, Wumpo Botan and Lyleen — the pattern being that Level 80 World Tree populations of legacy Pals are dramatically better gem farms than anything in the 1.0 roster.

How to Catch Suzaku

  1. Bring Water attackers. Fire is weak to Water. From the 1.0 roster: Panthalus (up to 10,260 HP), Shaolong (Dragon/Water, 910 – 1,153 Attack), Ophydia or Skutlass.
  2. Do not bring Grass or Ice Pals. Fire beats both.
  3. Consider the level band carefully. The Level 40 – 44 desert population is far easier, but it does not have the Level 80 drop table. If you want the relics, you need the World Tree version.
  4. Use Ancient Spheres at Level 80, and get it into the red first — the HP factor runs 0.769 to 1.0.
  5. Run the Soak → Freeze chain if you have Ophydia and Elgrove Cryst: Soak applied, then an instant Freeze, then throw at a ×1.09 multiplier.

Skills & Stats

Combat kit card showing Suzaku's flying mount partner skill and its 700-power Holy Burst.

Suzaku is a flying mount, and its partner skill scales with your party composition: Movement Speed +5~25% for each other Fire Pal you are carrying.

That rewards committing to a theme, in the same way Shaolong gives +4% Attack per Dragon and Moldron gives +4–8% Attack per Fire or Ground Pal. A Fire-stacked party behind Suzaku is genuinely fast — and since Fire is one of the better-represented elements in Palworld 1.0's roster (Flaracle, Renjishi, Moldron, Eidrolon Ignis, Knocklem Ignis, Petallia Ignis, Skutlass Ignis, Tanzee Ignis, Majex, Dupin), filling those slots is easy.

    Its headline skills:

  • Holy Burst (700)
  • Fire Ball (600)
  • Flare Storm (200)
  • Ignis Breath (160)

Holy Burst at 700 is notable — it puts Suzaku in the same power bracket as Shaolong's Meteorain and Aegidron's Missile Burst.

Work and stats card listing Suzaku's work suitability and Level 80 stat ranges.

    At Level 80:

  • HP: 5,700 – 7,140
  • Attack: 730 – 919
  • Defense: 680 – 869

Respectable but not exceptional. Kindling Lv5 is its only base job — well behind Renjishi's Lv8 — so Suzaku is not a base hire. You catch it to fly it and to farm it.

It hatches from a Huge Scorching Egg with a CombiRank of 1,200. The same egg type also produces Flaracle and Renjishi, both of which are better base workers.

Practical tips

  • The Level 80 World Tree population is the entire point. The Level 40 desert version does not have the relic drops.
  • 30 – 50 Decayed relics at 100% makes Suzaku the best Mythical Wood source in the game once recycled.
  • Fire Radiant Gem at 10 – 20 (100%) — the best Fire gem farm documented anywhere.
  • Stack Fire Pals in the party to scale its movement bonus up to +25% each.
  • Bring Water attackers, and skip Grass and Ice.

Running your own Palworld 1.0 server

A single Suzaku run produces relics by the dozen, and relics only become materials once the Ancient Relic Recycler has processed them — which takes time you should not be sitting through. A dedicated Palworld 1.0 server keeps the Recycler working while you are offline, so a farming run turns into ingots, cores, schematics and Skill Fruit on its own. Full crossplay lets a group split World Tree routes, and one-click backups and automatic updates protect the haul.

Conclusion

Suzaku is a Fire Pal found at Level 40 – 44 in desert regions, Level 45 at the Sandstone Plateau Watchtower, and Level 80 in the World Tree. That last population has the best drop table in the game: 30 – 50 Decayed Ancient Relics at 100%, the full relic ladder beneath it, 10 – 20 Fire Radiant Gems at 100% and 5 – 10 Flame Organs. Since every relic tier yields Mythical Wood at 100%, one Suzaku run can cover a large chunk of the Skillfruit Orchard's 200-wood requirement. It is also a flying mount that gains +5~25% Movement Speed per Fire Pal in your party. Bring Water attackers.
