If you have spent any time in Palworld 1.0's World Tree, your inventory is full of Ancient Relics you have no idea what to do with. They come in five tiers, they drop from most of the region's Pals, and for a long stretch of the endgame they just accumulate. This guide covers all five tiers and their drop rates, which Pals actually give you the good ones, and the single station that turns the pile into ingots, cores, schematics and Skill Fruit.

 

The Five Relic Tiers

 

Ancient Relics escalate in rarity, and the drop rates fall away sharply as they do:

    Read the quantity column carefully — it is the more important one. A Decayed drop can hand you ten relics at once at a 10% chance, while a Glistening drop is a single relic at 2%. In practice you will drown in Decayed relics and hunt individually for Glistening ones.

 

    That shape matters for how you farm: volume comes from repetition, not from luck. Running an Alpha loop twenty times reliably fills your Decayed and Dormant stock; chasing a single Glistening relic is not a plan.

 

What Relics Are Actually For

 

 

    Relics have exactly one destination: the Ancient Relic Recycler, unlocked at Technology Level 74. In the game's own words it is "an ancient civilization device that deciphers the technology left within Ancient Relics and refines them into new forms, converting deposited relics into various useful resources."

 

You feed it Ancient Relics plus World Tree Holy Water, and it returns a spread of materials:

 

• Paloxite and ingots — the top-tier metals behind the Beam Launcher and Plasma Rifle
• Gems and cores — the ancient components that gate most endgame recipes
• Implants — player upgrades
• Manuals and blueprints — schematics, which raise the rarity of what you craft
• Skill Fruit — active skills for your Pals

 

    Crucially, the yield scales with the rarity of the relic you deposit. A Glistening relic returns far more valuable output than a Decayed one. So the Decayed pile is your bulk feedstock, and the rare tiers are what you save for when you need something specific.

 

    This is why the Recycler reframes the whole World Tree loop. Relics stop being clutter and become the raw form of Paloxite, cores and schematics — which is to say, the raw form of your best weapons and armor.

 

The Best Relic Farm in the Game

 

    Before the tables below, one target eclipses everything else. Suzaku at Level 80 in the World Tree has the strongest relic drop table documented anywhere:

    That is roughly an order of magnitude better across the whole ladder, and the top three tiers are guaranteed. Suzaku is Fire, so bring Water attackers. Everything below remains accurate for the Pals it describes — but if relic volume is what you need, go to Suzaku first.

 

Who Drops Them

 

    Ancient Relics appear in the drop tables of 27 of the Pals added in 1.0 — the great majority of the World Tree roster. But only a handful are documented to drop the full five-tier ladder:

 

• Ophydia — all five tiers, plus High Quality Pal Oil, a Large Pal Soul and a Grass Radiant Gem. Alpha Pure Bloom Dragon Ophydia at Level 69, coordinates -590, -1478.
• Sekhmet — all five tiers, at Lv 37 – 42 in the desert region. Far and away the cheapest full-ladder farm in the game.
• Wispaw — all five tiers, at Lv 11 – 12. Nocturnal, so hunt after dark.
• Beakon Cryst — all five tiers alongside Ice Organ (1 – 2, 100%), World Tree Holy Water (1 – 3, 50%) and a Water Radiant Gem (1 – 3, 50%). Lv 75 – 77 in worldtree_9_07_I.
• Tetroise — three tiers (Decayed, Dormant, Gorgeous) plus Ruby and a Large Pal Soul, at Lv 55, coordinates 435, 380.

 

 

    Wispaw at Level 11 – 12 is the headline here. A Pal you can kill in seconds drops the same five relic tiers as a Level 77 World Tree resident. If you need relic volume rather than a boss fight, that is where to go — and Wispaw is worth carrying anyway, since its partner skill is the only thing that makes back-throw capture bonuses function.

 

The Efficient Relic Farm

 

 

1. Bulk Decayed and Dormant relics — farm Wispaw (Lv 11 – 12) or Sekhmet (Lv 37 – 42). Both drop the full ladder and neither is a real fight.
2. Mid-tier volume — Tetroise at Lv 55, coordinates 435, 380, which also drops Ruby and Large Pal Souls.
3. High-value runs — Ophydia's Alpha at Lv 69 and Beakon Cryst at Lv 75 – 77 in the World Tree, both of which pair relics with Radiant Gems and Pal Souls.
4. Stock World Tree Holy Water alongside. The Recycler consumes it, and it appears in 25 of the new Pals' drop tables, so the same routes supply both halves of the recipe.

 

    The mistake to avoid is farming exclusively at the top end. A Level 79 Alpha does not drop meaningfully more Decayed relics than Wispaw does — it just takes twenty times longer to kill.

 

Practical tips

• Do not sell or discard Decayed relics. They are your bulk Recycler feedstock, and the Recycler consumes them by the stack.
• The Recycler needs World Tree Holy Water as well as relics. Farm both together or your pile sits unusable.
• Higher-rarity relics return better output, so hold your Glowing and Glistening relics until you know what you actually need.
• Relics come from bosses, minibosses and shinies in the World Tree area, not from ordinary mining. There is no substitute route.
• Unlock the Ancient Workbench at Technology Level 67 before the Recycler at 74 — most of what you build from Recycler output needs that station anyway.
