How to Catch Eikthyrdeer & Eikthyrdeer Terra in Palworld (Location, Skills & Drops)

Eikthyrdeer hero card showing the Neutral Pal Eikthyrdeer, Paldeck #32, against an olive gradient.

Eikthyrdeer and its Ground variant Eikthyrdeer Terra are both rated Lumbering Lv2 — near the bottom of a scale that runs to Lv8. Ignore that number. Between them they carry the two best lumbering effects in Palworld: one multiplies your own wood gathering by 220~500%, the other grants +1 Lumbering to every other Pal at your base. Neither is a logger. Both are why your logging operation works. Here is where to find them and which one you actually need.

Where to Find Them

Where-to-find card listing spawn zones for both Eikthyrdeer forms.

    Eikthyrdeer:

  • Grass zones, Palpagos IslandsLevel 6 – 15. Very early and very common.
  • Hillside Cavern and Isolated Island Cavern — Level 6 – 9.
  • Black Marketeer — Level 10 – 15, at a 41% chance of stock.
  • The World Tree — Level 80.

    Eikthyrdeer Terra:

  • Palpagos IslandsLevel 20 – 23.
  • Wildlife Sanctuary No. 1 — one of the Pals available nowhere else in the early game.
  • The World Tree — Level 80.

Catch the low-level versions. Both partner skills are identical at every level, and neither Pal is a fighter at any level — Level 80 stats top out at Attack 580 – 724. A Mega Sphere is enough for Eikthyrdeer; the Terra variant at Level 20 – 23 wants little more.

Bring Fighting-type damage if you want them down quickly — Neutral is weak to Dark — but at these levels it barely matters.

Two Lv2 Loggers That Beat Lv8 Pals

Work suitability card comparing both Eikthyrdeer partner skills against their Lv2 ratings.

Both forms are Lumbering Lv2. For comparison, the top of the category is Celesdir Noct at Lv8, with Celesdir and Hartalis at Lv7.

As workers, both Eikthyrdeer forms are close to useless. As party members and base residents, they are among the most valuable Pals in the game for wood.

Eikthyrdeer — Guardian of the Forest: +220~500% lumbering efficiency.

This applies to your own wood gathering while it is with you. That is not a marginal buff — at the top of the range it is six times the wood per tree. Early in a save, when you are chopping by hand because you have not unlocked a Logging Site yet, this single skill removes wood as a constraint. It also gives you a rideable mount with a double jump at Level 6 – 15, which is a real mobility upgrade that early.

Eikthyrdeer Terra — Guardian of the Golden Forest: +1 Lumbering to all other Base Pals.

This is the base-side version of the same idea. Rather than improving your own gathering, it raises the Lumbering level of every other Pal you own by one. Upgrading a worker improves one station; a base-wide +1 improves every logger at once.

Eikthyrdeer Terra is one of six Pals that work this way:

PalIts own ratingWhat it gives everyone else
RibbunyHandiwork Lv1+1 Handiwork
Eikthyrdeer TerraLumbering Lv2+1 Lumbering
Cloveelow+1 Gathering
Tetroise+1 Mining
Smokie Cryst+1 Cooling
WumpoTransporting Lv6+1 Transporting

Neither skill stacks with itself, so the correct roster is one Eikthyrdeer in the party, one Eikthyrdeer Terra at the base — and the remaining slots filled with an actual Lv8 logger.

Which do you need? Both, for different halves of the game. Take Eikthyrdeer early while you are still gathering wood by hand, and park an Eikthyrdeer Terra permanently once you have a lumber base worth buffing.

Drops & Stats

Drops card showing Horn, Leather and Venison from Eikthyrdeer.

Both forms share a drop table:

DropQuantityRate
Horn2100%
Leather2 – 3100%
Eikthyrdeer Venison2100%

Horn is one of three materials in Palworld that cannot be automated. No plantation, no ranch and no mining node produces it — it comes off Pals or not at all, and it feeds the medicine tree. A guaranteed 2 Horn from a Level 6 Pal makes Eikthyrdeer one of the cheapest Horn farms in the game, far below the level of the usual sources.

Eikthyrdeer Venison is a food item, useful while you are still cooking basics.

At Level 80 in the World Tree, both forms add the full relic ladder plus a Radiant Gem at 10 – 20 (100%)Neutral for the base form, Ground for the Terra variant.

At Level 80 both sit at:

  • HP: 4,700 – 5,840
  • Attack: 580 – 724
  • Defense: 530 – 674

That is a utility Pal's stat line, and no amount of levelling changes it. Catch them, use the skills, and fight with something else.

How to Catch Them

  1. Find Eikthyrdeer in grass zones at Level 6 – 15 — one of the easiest catches in this series.
  2. Find Eikthyrdeer Terra at Level 20 – 23, or in Wildlife Sanctuary No. 1.
  3. Mega Spheres are sufficient for both. There is no reason to spend anything better.
  4. Check the Black Marketeer for Eikthyrdeer at a 41% stock chance if you would rather buy.
  5. Take one of each, not several — neither skill stacks.

Practical tips

  • Both are Lumbering Lv2. Never assign either to a Logging Site and expect results.
  • Eikthyrdeer's +220~500% lumbering efficiency applies to your chopping — catch it in your first hours.
  • Eikthyrdeer Terra's +1 Lumbering applies to every base Pal — park one and leave it.
  • Horn at 2 (100%) from a Level 6 Pal — the cheapest source of a material with no automated route.
  • Neither buff stacks. One of each is the whole benefit.
  • Staff the actual logging with Celesdir Noct (Lv8) or Hartalis (Lv7).

Running your own Palworld 1.0 server

Wood is the material every base consumes continuously, and a +1 Lumbering applied across your whole logging crew compounds with every hour the world is running. On a dedicated Palworld 1.0 server that crew keeps working while you are offline, so the chests are full when you log in rather than starting from zero. Full crossplay lets a group share one properly buffed base, and one-click backups and automatic updates protect a roster tuned slot by slot.

Conclusion

Eikthyrdeer is a Neutral Pal found in grass zones at Level 6 – 15; Eikthyrdeer Terra is its Ground variant at Level 20 – 23 and in Wildlife Sanctuary No. 1. Both are Lumbering Lv2, near the bottom of the scale — and that rating is irrelevant, because their partner skills are what you catch them for. Eikthyrdeer raises your own lumbering efficiency by 220~500%, which removes wood as a constraint in the early game, while Eikthyrdeer Terra grants +1 Lumbering to every other Base Pal, one of only six such base-wide buffs in the game. Neither stacks, so keep exactly one of each and staff the actual logging with Celesdir Noct at Lv8. Both drop Horn at 2 (100%) — a material with no automated source anywhere — from a Pal you can catch at Level 6.
