How to Catch Ribbuny in Palworld (Location, Skills & Drops)

Ribbuny is a rarity-1 Pal you meet in your first hour, and by every stat that appears on its page it is worthless: Handiwork Lv1, the floor of the scale. Keep one at your base anyway. Its partner skill raises the Handiwork level of every other Pal you own by +1, and Handiwork is the most-demanded job in Palworld — 22 structures require it. That is a bigger improvement to your workshop than replacing any single worker, and it comes from a Pal most players release without looking at it.

Where to Find Ribbuny

Ribbuny is everywhere in the early game:
- Starting grasslands — Level 1 – 3. You will walk past several before you finish the tutorial.
- Aerial Cage: Grass — Level 1 – 10.
- Blue zone — Level 10 – 12.
- Ravine Grotto — Level 14 – 19.
- Various Pal Recruiters up to Level 65 – 70.
Catch the Level 1 – 3 version. The partner skill is identical at every level, and Ribbuny is not a combat Pal at any of them. A basic Pal Sphere is enough — this is one of the few catches in Palworld where the capture power maths simply does not come up.
It also hatches from a Common Egg at CombiRank 2,860, so you may well get one without trying.
Why a Rarity-1 Pal Belongs on Your Base

Read Ribbuny's work suitability and you would never assign it to anything:
| Job | Level |
|---|---|
| Handiwork | Lv1 |
| Gathering | Lv1 |
| Transporting | Lv1 |
Lv1 is the floor. As a crafter, Ribbuny is the worst Pal in the game.
Its value is not as a worker. It is as a resident.
Happy-Go-Lucky Bunny raises the Handiwork Work Suitability Level of all other Base Pals by +1. That is a different kind of upgrade from anything you get by catching a better Pal:
- Replacing one worker improves one station.
- A base-wide +1 improves every Handiwork station at once, for every Pal working them.
And Handiwork is the busiest category in Palworld. 22 structures require it — every workbench, every assembly line, the Sphere and Weapon production lines, the Repair Bench, the Pal Gear Workbench, the Fishing Ponds, the Gold Coin Assembly Line and the Ancient Relic Recycler.
One clarification worth having. All 22 of those structures require only Handiwork level 1 to operate. Level sets speed, not eligibility — so the +1 does not unlock anything, it makes everything finish faster. On a base with ten Handiwork workers, that is ten simultaneous speed increases from a single occupied slot.
Two more things it does:
- +15~30% Attack to Neutral Pals in your party — a real combat buff if you run a Neutral team.
- Food intake 1, the lowest there is. Keeping a Ribbuny costs essentially nothing from your feed box, which matters when hunger management is what stops most bases from producing.
It does not stack with itself. One Ribbuny is the whole benefit; a second is a wasted slot on a roster capped at 30 workers at base level 30.
The Other +1 Providers

Ribbuny is the best known of six Pals that work the same way:
| Pal | Its own rating | What it gives everyone else |
|---|---|---|
| Ribbuny | Handiwork Lv1 | +1 Handiwork |
| Eikthyrdeer Terra | Lumbering Lv2 | +1 Lumbering |
| Clovee | low | +1 Gathering |
| Tetroise | — | +1 Mining |
| Smokie Cryst | — | +1 Cooling |
| Wumpo | Transporting Lv6 | +1 Transporting |
The pattern holds across nearly all six: the Pal's own rating is irrelevant to what makes it worth a slot. Eikthyrdeer Terra is a Lv2 logger — near the bottom — and it is still one of the most valuable Pals you can park on a lumber base.
None of them stack with themselves, so the correct roster is exactly one of each you need, and the remaining slots filled with actual specialists — Solenne at Handiwork Lv8, Celesdir Noct at Lumbering Lv8, Aegidron at Mining Lv8. The buffers raise the floor; the specialists raise the ceiling. You want both.
Drops & Stats
Ribbuny's drop table is early-game material:
| Drop | Quantity | Rate |
|---|---|---|
| Leather | 1 | 100% |
| Ribbuny Ribbon | 1 | 100% |
| Berry Seeds | 1 | 100% |
| Beautiful Flower | 1 | 5% |
The Beautiful Flower at 5% is a trap — do not farm Ribbuny for it. Dualith drops 3 – 5 at 100%, which is the route worth taking when a recipe wants them in bulk.
As an Alpha it drops Ancient Civilization Parts (1 – 2) and Precious Pelt (1 – 2).
At Level 80 its stats confirm what the rarity suggests — HP 3,900 – 4,800, Attack 490 – 607, Defense 470 – 596. It is not a combat Pal and no amount of levelling changes that. Catch it, park it, forget about it.
Practical tips
- Keep exactly one Ribbuny at every base that crafts. The +1 applies to every Handiwork worker you own.
- Its own Lv1 rating is irrelevant — never actually assign it to a workbench.
- Food intake 1 makes it the cheapest permanent resident in the game.
- Catch it at Level 1 – 3 with a basic Pal Sphere. Nothing about it improves with level.
- Pair it with Solenne (Handiwork Lv8) — the buffer raises the floor, the specialist raises the ceiling.
- Ignore the 5% Beautiful Flower. Dualith gives 3 – 5 at 100%.
Running your own Palworld 1.0 server
A base-wide +1 Handiwork compounds across every hour your workshop is running — and on a save you open twice a week, that is very few hours. A dedicated Palworld 1.0 server keeps all 22 Handiwork structures producing around the clock, which is exactly when a speed multiplier turns into finished gear. Full crossplay lets a group share one properly staffed base, and one-click backups and automatic updates protect a roster you have tuned slot by slot.
Conclusion
Ribbuny is a rarity-1 Neutral Pal found in the starting grasslands at Level 1 – 3, catchable with a basic Pal Sphere and hatchable from a Common Egg. Its own Handiwork Lv1 is the worst rating in the game — and it does not matter, because Happy-Go-Lucky Bunny grants +1 Handiwork to every other Base Pal you own, across the busiest job in Palworld at 22 structures. It also gives +15~30% Attack to Neutral Pals and eats a food intake of 1. It is one of six Pals that buff a suitability base-wide, alongside Eikthyrdeer Terra (+1 Lumbering), Clovee (+1 Gathering), Tetroise (+1 Mining), Smokie Cryst (+1 Cooling) and Wumpo (+1 Transporting) — none of which stack with themselves. Keep exactly one, never assign it to a workbench, and staff the actual stations with Solenne instead.
