How to Catch Celesdir in Palworld (Location, Skills & Drops)

Celesdir is Lumbering Lv7, second in the game — beaten only by its own Dark variant, Celesdir Noct, at Lv8. That is an unusual situation, and it means most guides skip the base form entirely. They should not: Celesdir carries a partner skill the variant does not have, and it is one of the very few Pals in Palworld that heals you and your whole party continuously while you ride it. Here is where to find it and when to take it over the Noct version.
Celesdir at a Glance
| Field | Details |
|---|---|
| Element | Neutral |
| Paldeck # | #157 |
| Partner Skill | Blessing of Purification — can be ridden. Attack and Movement Speed increase by 2~6% per Neutral Pal in party, and it recovers Health of the player and party Pals by 0.15~0.75% per second (does not stack) |
| Work Suitability | Lumbering Lv7, Gathering Lv4 |
| Notable Drops | Hexolite Quartz (2 – 3, 100%), Horn (2, 100%), Leather (2 – 3, 100%) |
| Egg | Large Common Egg — CombiRank 570 |
| Rarity | 6 |
| Rideable | Yes |
Where to Find Celesdir

- Yamijima — beach, forest, plateau and rock areas at Level 54 – 59. The main population.
- The World Tree — Level 79 – 80, which adds the relic ladder and a Neutral Radiant Gem.
- Various regional spawners across the Palpagos Islands.
Bring Dark attackers. Neutral is weak to Dark — which, pleasingly, means Celesdir Noct is itself the ideal counter if you already have one.
Legendary or Ultimate Spheres are appropriate at Level 54 – 59. It also hatches from a Large Common Egg at CombiRank 570, which is low enough that breeding is a realistic route once you own one.
Lumbering Lv7 — and When to Use It

Work Suitability runs Lv1 to Lv8. Lumbering looks like this at the top:
| Pal | Lumbering |
|---|---|
| Celesdir Noct | Lv8 — alone at the ceiling |
| Celesdir | Lv7 |
| Hartalis | Lv7 |
| Cryolinx Terra, Silvegis, Bastigor, Paladius, Necromus | Lv6 |
So why take the base form at all?
Because the skills are different, and Celesdir's is better outside the base. Celesdir Noct's Blessing of Chaos gives your active Pal +40~80% Attack at the cost of a health drain — a pure offensive trade. Celesdir's Blessing of Purification does the opposite: it heals you and your party continuously.
If you want a logger, take Celesdir Noct — one level higher and no reason to compromise. If you want a mount you can survive on, take the base form. Most players end up wanting both, and at CombiRank 570 you can breed the second.
One caution on staffing. Celesdir has two jobs — Lumbering Lv7 and Gathering Lv4 — and Gathering outranks Lumbering in the work priority order. A Celesdir on a base with plantations will harvest instead of logging. If you want wood, put it somewhere with no crops.
Pair it with an Eikthyrdeer Terra, which is a Lv2 logger itself but grants +1 Lumbering to every other Base Pal.
A Healing Mount, Which Is Rare

Blessing of Purification does two things at once:
- +2~6% Attack and Movement Speed per Neutral Pal in your party. With a full Neutral party that is a meaningful stacking bonus, and it rewards building around the element rather than mixing.
- Recovers 0.15~0.75% of Health per second for the player and party Pals.
That second effect is the rare one. Almost every mount skill in Palworld is offensive — a weapon, a type conversion, an attack bonus. Sustained healing that covers your whole party is close to unique, and it changes what long trips cost you. For a World Tree circuit at Level 75 – 80, or a Wildlife Sanctuary run under Level 80 Drones, a passive regen means you stop returning to base to heal.
Compare Hartalis, whose Sacred Barrier blocks all attacks while mounted. Hartalis prevents damage; Celesdir repairs it and keeps working when you dismount to fight. Hartalis is raid-only; Celesdir you can simply go and catch.
Its drops:
| Drop | Quantity | Rate |
|---|---|---|
| Hexolite Quartz | 2 – 3 | 100% |
| Horn | 2 | 100% |
| Leather | 2 – 3 | 100% |
| Neutral Radiant Gem | 10 – 20 | 100% (Lv 80) |
Horn is one of three materials in Palworld with no automated source — no plantation, no ranch, no mining node — and Celesdir gives 2 guaranteed. Hexolite Quartz at 2 – 3 (100%) feeds the Hexolite armor tier, and a 100% rate on it is genuinely good.
At Level 80:
- HP: 5,700 – 7,140
- Attack: 760 – 958
- Defense: 650 – 830
A solid, unspectacular line — which is fine, because you are riding it for the regen.
How to Catch Celesdir
- Bring Dark attackers. Neutral is weak to Dark — Celesdir Noct itself is ideal.
- Go to Yamijima at Level 54 – 59.
- Do not bring Neutral Pals into the fight; you lose the matchup.
- Legendary or Ultimate Spheres at that level; Ancient only for the World Tree version.
- Breed the second one — CombiRank 570 from a Large Common Egg is cheap.
Practical tips
- Celesdir Noct is Lv8, Celesdir is Lv7. For pure logging, take the variant.
- Take the base form for the mount — continuous party healing is nearly unique in Palworld.
- Gathering Lv4 outranks its Lumbering Lv7. Keep it away from plantations if you want wood.
- Horn at 2 (100%) — a material with no automated route anywhere.
- Hexolite Quartz at 2 – 3 (100%) for the Hexolite armor tier.
- Build a Neutral party to get the full +2~6% per Pal from its skill.
Running your own Palworld 1.0 server
A Lv7 logger and a healing mount are both things you use across long sessions rather than in one sitting — and the logging half only pays out while the world is running. On a dedicated Palworld 1.0 server your lumber crew keeps working while you are offline and the Yamijima and World Tree routes stay live for whenever you have time. Full crossplay lets a group share the circuit, and one-click backups and automatic updates protect the result.
Conclusion
Celesdir is a Neutral Pal found on Yamijima at Level 54 – 59 and in the World Tree at Level 79 – 80. It is Lumbering Lv7, second in the game behind only its own Dark variant Celesdir Noct at Lv8 — so if you want a pure logger, take the variant. Take the base form for its Blessing of Purification skill instead, which gives +2~6% Attack and Movement Speed per Neutral Pal in party and heals the player and all party Pals by 0.15~0.75% per second — continuous party regen that almost nothing else in the game provides, and exactly what a long World Tree circuit needs. Watch its Gathering Lv4, which outranks its own Lumbering and will pull it off the trees. It drops Horn at 2 (100%), a material with no automated source, and Hexolite Quartz at 2 – 3 (100%). Bring Dark attackers, and breed the second at CombiRank 570.
