How to Catch Beegarde in Palworld (Location, Skills & Drops)

Beegarde is the Honey producer, the third of Cake's three Ranch-only ingredients, and the hardest of the three to get — it does not spawn in the starting zones like Chikipi and Mozzarina do. It also has the widest work suitability spread of any Ranch Pal in the game at seven jobs, which sounds like a bonus and is actually a problem you need to design around. Here is where to find it and how to use it without it wandering off.

Where to Find Beegarde

- Mountain Stream Grotto — Level 20 – 23. The earliest reliable population.
- Forest incidents — Level 19.
- Orange zone — Level 28 – 33.
- Verdant Stream Watchtower — Level 30 – 34.
- Black Marketeer — Level 20 – 30, at a 41% chance of stock.
This is the awkward one of the three Cake producers. Chikipi and Mozzarina are both available in your first hour; Beegarde needs Level 20+ content. That gap is why so many players get a Ranch running with eggs and milk and then discover their Cake recipe is still short an ingredient.
Bring Fire attackers — Grass is weak to Fire — and note that Ultra Spheres are comfortable at Level 20 – 34. Nothing here needs preparation beyond the trip itself.
If you would rather not make the trip, the Black Marketeer at a 41% stock chance is a genuine alternative.
Honey and the Third Cake Ingredient
Worker Bee produces Honey at a Ranch, completing the set:
| Cake ingredient | Source | Available from |
|---|---|---|
| Flour | Wheat Plantation → Mill | Early |
| Red Berries | Berry Plantation | Early |
| Egg | Chikipi at a Ranch | Level 1 |
| Milk | Mozzarina at a Ranch | Level 1 |
| Honey | Beegarde at a Ranch | Level 20 |
Cake gates the Breeding Farm, which is the cheapest route to a strong roster — bred Pals inherit passives and work suitabilities. So a missing honey supply is not a cosmetic gap; it stops the whole system.
Killed, Beegarde drops Honey at 1 – 2 (100%) — a top-up, not a farm. As with every ingredient on this list, the Ranch is where the volume comes from.
Its partner skill also increases Elizabee's Attack while in party, which is a niche synergy — worth knowing if you run an Elizabee, irrelevant otherwise.
Seven Jobs, and Why That Is a Problem

Beegarde covers seven work suitabilities — more than any other Ranch producer, and more than almost anything in the game:
| Job | Level |
|---|---|
| Gathering | Lv3 |
| Farming | Lv3 |
| Planting | Lv2 |
| Handiwork | Lv2 |
| Lumbering | Lv2 |
| Medicine Production | Lv2 |
| Transporting | Lv2 |
On a scale that runs to Lv8, none of that is impressive — Lv3 is well below mid-table. But breadth causes its own problem.
Palworld runs a fixed work priority order, and a Pal always does the highest-priority job available to it. A Beegarde with seven suitabilities has seven chances to be pulled off the Ranch by something the game considers more urgent — Handiwork, Transporting and Medicine Production all outrank the low end of the list.
The fix is the same as always: control what work is available. Put Beegarde on a base — or in a corner of a base — where there is no workbench, no logistics job and no medicine bench competing for it. On a busy mixed base, a seven-job Pal is the least reliable Ranch worker you can pick.
Compare Mozzarina, which has exactly one suitability (Farming Lv2) and therefore cannot be distracted at all. That single-job profile is what you want on production buildings, and it is worth remembering when you are deciding which of your three Cake producers to worry about.
Condensing Multiplies What It Produces

A Ranch Pal's output scales with its Partner Skill level, and condensing raises it:
| Condensation | Duplicates | Partner Skill |
|---|---|---|
| Level 0 | — | Lv1 |
| ★ | 4 | Lv2 |
| ★★ | 8 more | Lv3 |
| ★★★ | 12 more | Lv4 |
| ★★★★ | 24 more | Lv5 — the cap |
48 duplicates in total. The documented example is Mau, producing 10 Gold Coins at Lv1 and 10 – 50 at Lv5 — up to five times the output from one Pal.
Honey is usually the ingredient worth condensing first, for the same reason it is the awkward one to obtain: Chikipi and Mozzarina duplicates are trivially cheap in the starting zones, so most players end up with plenty of eggs and milk and a persistent honey shortage.
The catch is that Beegarde duplicates are more expensive — rarity 4, Level 20+ spawns. Forty-eight of them is a real farming commitment rather than an afternoon. Two things make it easier:
- Fodder level does not matter. A Level 20 Beegarde condenses exactly as well as a Level 60 one, so farm the cheapest population.
- It hatches from a Verdant Egg at CombiRank 2,350, so once your Breeding Farm is running you can breed the duplicates that make it run better.
That last point is the pleasant loop: Beegarde's honey enables the Breeding Farm, and the Breeding Farm can then produce the Beegarde duplicates that multiply your honey.
How to Catch Beegarde
- Bring Fire attackers. Grass is weak to Fire.
- Go to the Mountain Stream Grotto at Level 20 – 23 — the earliest reliable spawn.
- Do not bring Water or Ground Pals. Grass beats both.
- Ultra Spheres are comfortable across its whole level range.
- Or check the Black Marketeer at a 41% stock chance and skip the trip.
Practical tips
- The third Cake ingredient, and the only one gated behind Level 20 — plan for it before your Breeding Farm is built.
- Seven work suitabilities means seven ways to be distracted. Give it a base with no workbench.
- Mozzarina's single job makes it the more reliable producer — worth knowing when you compare the three.
- Honey is usually the shortage, because egg and milk duplicates are so much cheaper to stack.
- Condense it — 48 duplicates for Partner Skill Lv5 and up to several times the output.
- Breed the duplicates once the Breeding Farm its honey enabled is running.
Running your own Palworld 1.0 server
Honey accumulates passively, which means a Ranch is worth exactly as many hours as your world stays live. On a dedicated Palworld 1.0 server your three Cake producers keep working around the clock, so the Breeding Farm has what it needs instead of stalling between sessions. Full crossplay lets a group share one breeding operation, and one-click backups and automatic updates protect a chain that spans four separate buildings.
Conclusion
Beegarde is a Grass Pal found in the Mountain Stream Grotto at Level 20 – 23, in orange zones at Level 28 – 33, and from the Black Marketeer at a 41% stock chance. Its Worker Bee skill produces Honey at a Ranch — the third of Cake's three Ranch-only ingredients, and the only one not available in your first hour, which is why so many Breeding Farms stall on it specifically. It has seven work suitabilities, the widest spread of any Ranch Pal, and that is a liability rather than a feature: seven jobs give the work priority system seven ways to pull it off the Ranch, so give it a base with nothing else to do. Condense it to four stars for Partner Skill Lv5 and up to several times the output — and once its honey has your Breeding Farm running, breed the duplicates that make it better.
