How to Catch Reindrix in Palworld (Location, Skills & Drops)

Reindrix hero card showing the Ice Pal Reindrix, Paldeck #101, against a cold blue gradient.

Reindrix is the answer to two problems most Palworld players solve badly. It grants Heat Resistance +2 just for being in your party — which covers the volcanic and desert tower fights without swapping armor — and its Level 80 World Tree population is the only documented source of Ice Radiant Gem at 10 – 20 per kill. It is also catchable from Level 32, so you can have it long before you need it.

Where to Find Reindrix

Where-to-find card listing Reindrix's three spawn populations and Level 80 drop table.

  • Palpagos IslandsLevel 32 – 39 across multiple zones. The accessible population.
  • Astral Mountains Cavern — the boss variant at Level 42 – 45.
  • The World TreeLevel 80.

Catch the Level 32 – 39 version for the partner skill. Heat Resistance +2 is identical at every level, and drop quality does not scale either — its Ice Organ (2 – 3), Leather, Horn and Venison all drop at 100% regardless.

The Level 80 population is the gem farm:

DropQuantityRate
Ice Radiant Gem10 – 20100%
Decayed Ancient Relic30 – 50100%
Dormant Ancient Relic10 – 20100%
Gorgeous Ancient Relic4 – 8100%

That closes a real gap. Among Palworld 1.0's roster, Ice Radiant Gems come from Snugloo, Elgrove Cryst and Univolt Cryst at roughly 1 – 3 at 50%. Reindrix at Level 80 gives ten times that, guaranteed — and it is the only confirmed Level 80 source of Ice gems.

How to Catch Reindrix

  1. Bring Fire attackers. Ice is weak to Fire. From Palworld 1.0's roster: Flaracle (850 – 1,075 Attack), Renjishi or Eidrolon Ignis (880 – 1,114).
  2. Do not bring Ice or Water Pals. Ice resists Ice, and Water is not a counter here.
  3. Take the Level 32 – 39 Palpagos population if you want the skill and the organs — they are identical to the Level 80 version's.
  4. Ultra or Legendary Spheres are plenty at Level 32 – 45; save Sol (58) and Ancient (64) for the Level 80 gem farm.
  5. Catching beats breeding here — CombiRank 1,930 is high enough that a Frozen Egg is unreliable.

Skills & Stats

Reindrix's partner skill grants the player Heat Resistance +2 while it is in your party. It does not stack, so one is enough.

That is more useful than it looks, because two of Palworld's tower bosses sit in hostile heat:

  • Axel & Orserk at the Eternal Pyre Tower — Mount Obsidian, volcanic.
  • Marcus & Faleris at the Tower of the PIDF — the Desiccated Desert.

Both are timed fights, and environmental damage stacks on top of the boss. Normally you solve that with Heat-Resistant Ancient Armor (Technology Level 75) or a Reptyro Charm — but at Level 30 – 40, when you actually fight those towers, neither is available. Reindrix gives you the resistance for a party slot instead of a gear slot.

It is also useful for farming Suzaku and Faleris in desert regions, and for the volcanic populations of Moldron, Skutlass Ignis and Majex.

    Its offensive kit is modest:

  • Diamond Rain (600)
  • Blizzard Spike (450)
  • Crystal Breath (160)
  • Iceberg and Freezing Charge (120)

    At Level 80:

  • HP: 4,900 – 6,100
  • Attack: 610 – 763
  • Defense: 710 – 908

Modest — Reindrix is a utility Pal. At base, Lumbering Lv3 and Cooling Lv3 are serviceable rather than impressive; Celesdir Noct at Lumbering Lv8 and Pierdon Cryst at Cooling Lv6 both beat it.

Its real base value is the Ice Organ at 2 – 3 per kill, 100% — a reliable bulk source from a Level 32 Pal, which is cheaper than farming the Cryst variants in the World Tree.

Practical tips

  • Carry it to the Eternal Pyre and PIDF towers. Heat Resistance +2 covers both hostile biomes at a level where the armor for it does not exist yet.
  • Catch the Level 32 – 39 population — the skill and drop rates are identical to Level 80's.
  • Farm the Level 80 population for Ice Radiant Gem at 10 – 20 (100%), the only confirmed source at that rate.
  • Its Ice Organ at 2 – 3 (100%) is a cheap bulk farm from a low-level Pal.
  • Bring Fire attackers; skip Ice and Water.

Running your own Palworld 1.0 server

A Pal you catch at Level 32 and farm again at Level 80 means two very different trips, months apart. A dedicated Palworld 1.0 server keeps your world persistent across all of it, so early progress is still there when you come back for the gem farm. Full crossplay lets a group split World Tree routes, and one-click backups and automatic updates protect the haul.

Conclusion

Reindrix is an Ice Pal found at Level 32 – 39 across the Palpagos Islands, as a Level 42 – 45 boss in the Astral Mountains Cavern, and at Level 80 in the World Tree. Its partner skill grants Heat Resistance +2, which covers the volcanic Eternal Pyre and desert PIDF tower fights at a stage where the armor for it is not yet craftable. Its Level 80 population is the only confirmed source of Ice Radiant Gem at 10 – 20 per kill (100%) — ten times any alternative — alongside the best relic table in the game. Bring Fire attackers.
