How to Catch Jellroy & Jelliette in Palworld (Location, Skills & Drops)

Jellroy hero card showing the Water and Dark Pal Jellroy, Paldeck #46, against a deep blue gradient.

Jellroy and Jelliette carry the two largest single-activity drop bonuses in Palworld — +55~95% more items from salvaging and +55~95% more from fishing respectively. That is well above the +40~80% every elemental drop booster gives. And they have something no other pair in the game has: keep both at the same base and each one waters 50~120% faster. They are catchable from Level 1, mostly with a fishing rod.

Where to Find Them

Where-to-find card listing fishing spots and Fishing Pond rates for both Pals.

    Jellroy:

  • Tropical fishing spotsLevel 1 – 10.
  • Ocean fishing spots — Level 9 – 25.
  • Ravine Grotto — Level 14 – 19.
  • Island Shipwreck — Level 30 – 40.
  • Dark Island beaches and rocks — Level 50 – 63.
  • Small Fishing Pond9.52%, passively at your base.

    Jelliette:

  • Fishing spots across the Palpagos IslandsLevel 1 – 80, one of the most widely distributed Pals in the game.
  • Hillside Cavern and Mountain Stream Grotto.

Both are primarily fishing catches, which is a pleasing loop: you fish up the Pal that makes fishing more productive. And a Small Fishing Pond at 9.52% will eventually hand you a Jellroy without you going anywhere.

Bring Electric attackers. Both are Water — weak to Electric. Jellroy's second half is Dark, so Dragon works on it too. A Mega or Ultra Sphere is plenty; neither puts up a fight.

Two Boosters Above Every Other

Card comparing the +55~95% bonuses against the +40~80% elemental boosters.

Palworld's drop-rate boosters sit in tiers:

BoosterApplies toBonus
NitemaryPal Souls+100~200%
Dumud GildGold+100~200%
SplatterinaMeat Cleaver+100~200%
JellietteFishing+55~95%
JellroySalvaging+55~95%
All nine elemental boostersone element each+40~80%

They sit above every elemental booster and below only the three specialists at +100~200%.

    What each is actually for:

  • Jellroy — salvaging. Ocean barrels are a real loot source, and Salvage Rank 2 is one of only three sources of Giant Pal Souls at 44.2% — the tier the Statue of Power's levels 11 – 20 demand. A +55~95% multiplier on that is meaningful.
  • Jelliette — fishing. Fishing feeds cooking, and fishing tables are also where several Pals appear. More items per catch compounds across a long session.

Two limits, as with every booster:

  • Neither stacks with itself — one of each is the whole bonus.
  • Both boost quantity, not chance. More items per salvage or catch, not a better roll on a rare table.

The Pair Bonus Nobody Notices

Read the second half of either skill carefully:

While Jelliette and Jellroy are in your base, this Pal's watering speed increases by 50~120%.

This is a mutual bonus that requires both Pals. Keep only one and the clause does nothing. Keep both at the same base and each one waters 50~120% faster.

Since both are Watering Lv2 — modest on a scale that runs to Lv8, where Shaolong sits at Lv8 — that speed multiplier is doing real work. Two Lv2 waterers moving at up to 2.2× speed is a serviceable irrigation crew for a plantation setup, from Pals you can catch in your first hour.

It is also a rare kind of mechanic. Most partner skills work in your party; a few work base-wide. This one only exists when two specific Pals share a base — the only pairing of its kind documented here.

A practical note on staffing. Both have Handiwork and Transporting at Lv1, and both outrank Watering in the work priority order. On a base with a workbench, your jellyfish will craft rather than water. Give them a farming base with nothing else to do.

Drops & Stats

Drops card showing Aquatic Pal Fluids and Level 80 stats for both Pals.

Both share a drop table shape:

DropQuantityRate
Aquatic Pal Fluids1 – 2100%
Bell Flesh1100%

    As Alphas both drop Ancient Civilization Parts (2 – 3, 100%) and Precious Entrails (2 – 3, 100%).

    At Level 80:

JellroyJelliette
HP4,500 – 5,5803,900 – 4,800
Attack550 – 685640 – 802
Defense500 – 635470 – 596

Jelliette hits noticeably harder despite being the smaller of the two, though neither Defense figure is good. You carry these for the bonuses, not the fights.

How to Catch Them

  1. Bring Electric attackers. Both are Water. Dragon also works on Jellroy's Dark half.
  2. Do not bring Fire or Ground Pals. Water beats both.
  3. Fish for them — tropical spots at Level 1 – 10 for Jellroy, and Jelliette turns up almost anywhere.
  4. Or build a Small Fishing Pond and take the 9.52% on Jellroy passively.
  5. Mega or Ultra Spheres are more than enough.
  6. Catch both. One alone loses the watering-speed clause entirely.

Practical tips

  • +55~95% beats every elemental booster's +40~80% — take these before the elemental ones for their activities.
  • Jellroy is for salvaging, which is one of only three routes to Giant Pal Souls.
  • Jelliette is for fishing, and you fish it up in the first place.
  • Keep both at one base or the +50~120% watering speed clause never applies.
  • Their Handiwork and Transporting outrank Watering — give them a farming base with no workbench.
  • Neither stacks. One of each is the whole bonus.

Running your own Palworld 1.0 server

Salvaging and fishing are both volume activities that reward long, repeated sessions — and a Fishing Pond only produces while the world runs. On a dedicated Palworld 1.0 server your ponds keep fishing and your irrigation crew keeps watering while you are offline. Full crossplay lets a group share one farming base, and one-click backups and automatic updates protect a setup built to run unattended.

Conclusion

Jellroy and Jelliette are Water Pals — Jellroy is Water / Dark — caught mostly by fishing from Level 1, with Jellroy also appearing in a Small Fishing Pond at 9.52%. Jellroy Drop gives +55~95% items from salvaging and Jelliette Drop gives +55~95% from fishing, both above the +40~80% that every elemental booster provides, and Jellroy's applies to Salvage Rank 2 — one of only three sources of Giant Pal Souls. The detail almost everyone misses is the second clause: keep both at the same base and each waters 50~120% faster, a mutual bonus that does nothing if you only have one. Watch their Handiwork and Transporting, which outrank Watering in the priority order, and give them a base with nothing else to do.
