Where to Find Gildra

Gildra has two main habitats. The most accessible is the Desert orange area (internal zone desert_orange_C), where it appears at Lv.39–44. For a much tougher encounter, seek it in the World Tree area (worldtree_9_55_WorldTreeAura), one of 1.0's new regions, where it spawns at Lv.80. Gildra can also be acquired through the Pal Recruiter across several regions if you'd rather not hunt manually.

Gildra also headlines an alpha/boss encounter — the "Golden Blade of Duat" Gildra Tribe Boss — which scales to the same Lv.39–44 (desert) and Lv.80 (World Tree) ranges. Exact map coordinates are not yet documented.

If you prefer hatching one, Gildra comes from a Large Dark Egg (desert_grade_01) and carries a CombiRank of 1170. No specific parent breeding combo is documented on its page yet, so treat the egg route as the confirmed alternative to catching.

How to Catch Gildra

  1. Bring the right counters. Gildra is Dark/Ground. On the standard type chart, Dark is weak to Dragon and Ground is weak to Grass, so a Dragon- and Grass-heavy team will chew through both of its elements fastest.
  2. Whittle its HP down. Chip Gildra to a sliver of health without knocking it out — status effects and steady ranged pressure are ideal for keeping the health bar in the sweet spot.
  3. Use high-tier spheres. At Lv.39–44 a solid mid-tier sphere works; for the Lv.80 World Tree version, stock Ultra or Legendary Spheres to make each throw count.
  4. Aim for the back-throw bonus. Circle behind Gildra before you throw — a rear catch multiplies your capture rate and can save a fistful of spheres on the boss variant.

Skills & Stats

Gildra's standout trait is its partner skill, Resurrection Lv.1: while fighting together, when Gildra is incapacitated it revives with its Hunger reduced to 0 — effectively a free second life mid-battle. That makes it a resilient front-line companion for long boss fights.

Its top signature skills are Dark Whisp (600)Rocky Impact (600)Sand Twister (500) and Nightmare Ball (300). The full active skill list scales cleanly as it levels: Dark Ball (Lv.1, 50), Spirit Flame (Lv.7, 200), Sand Tornado (Lv.15, 200), Nightmare Ball (Lv.22, 300), Sand Twister (Lv.30, 500), Mummy Rush (Lv.40, 500), Dark Whisp (Lv.50, 600) and Rocky Impact (Lv.70, 600).

At Level 80, Gildra posts HP 5100–6360Attack 820–1036 and Defense 680–869 — a durable, hard-hitting profile that pairs nicely with the revive skill. Away from combat it's a versatile base worker thanks to Handiwork Lv5Medicine Production Lv4 and Transporting Lv2.

Practical tips

  • Slot Gildra at a crafting bench: Handiwork Lv5 makes it one of your better all-round production Pals.
  • Its Resurrection skill shines in drawn-out alpha fights where losing your partner mid-battle would normally cost you the encounter.
  • Gildra is nocturnal — hunt the desert spawns at night for more reliable appearances.
  • Farm the desert Lv.39–44 version first; both Cloth and Leather drop at 100%, making it a steady early crafting-material source.

Conclusion

Gildra is a rare package: a durable Dark/Ground bruiser with a self-revive partner skill and genuinely strong base-work stats. Grab the Lv.39–44 desert version early for easy material farming, then hunt the Lv.80 World Tree variant once you're geared for the endgame.
