How to Catch Chikipi in Palworld (Location, Skills & Drops)

Chikipi is a rarity-1 chicken with 60 base HP and no combat value whatsoever, and it sits on the critical path of Palworld's entire breeding system. Cake needs Eggs. Chikipi is the egg supply. Without Cake your Breeding Farm does nothing at all, which means no bred passives, no inherited work suitabilities and no cheap route to a strong roster. This guide covers where to find it and how to stop the egg supply being your bottleneck.

Where to Find Chikipi

- Green grass areas — Level 1 – 3, 3 – 5 and 6 – 9.
- Hillside Cavern and Isolated Island Cavern — Level 6 – 13.
- Black Marketeer — Level 10 – 15, at a 41% chance of stock.
- Aerial Cage: Forest — Level 15 – 25.
Chikipi is among the most common Pals in the game. A basic Pal Sphere catches one, and at 60 HP you will need to be careful not to kill it by accident — this is one of the few Pals where the risk is overkill rather than a failed throw.
Its Level 80 stats are the lowest documented in this series — HP 3,300 – 4,020, Attack 460 – 568. Do not level it, do not fight with it.
Eggs and the Cake Chain

Egg Layer makes Chikipi produce Eggs at a Ranch, and that is the entire reason to own one.
Cake requires five ingredients, and three of them come from Ranch Pals:
| Ingredient | Source |
|---|---|
| Egg | Chikipi — this Pal |
| Milk | Mozzarina |
| Honey | Beegarde |
| Flour | Wheat Plantation → Mill |
| Red Berries | Berry Plantation |
And Cake is the gate on the Breeding Farm. The Breeding Farm itself is cheap — Technology Level 19 — but it consumes Cake to run, and a farm with no Cake simply sits there. This is the single most common reason a player's breeding operation stalls.
So the practical chain is longer than it looks. Wanting bred Pals means wanting Cake, which means running a Wheat Plantation, a Mill, a Berry Plantation and a Ranch — with three different Ranch Pals on that Ranch. A Ranch holds four workers, so Chikipi, Mozzarina and Beegarde fit comfortably together with a slot to spare.
Do not confuse the two kinds of egg. Chikipi produces the cooking ingredient Egg. The eggs you incubate to hatch Pals are a different item entirely, obtained from nests and the Breeding Farm. Chikipi does not produce those.
Condensing Multiplies What It Produces

A Ranch Pal's output scales with its Partner Skill level, and Partner Skill level is raised by condensing.
| Condensation | Duplicates | Partner Skill |
|---|---|---|
| Level 0 | — | Lv1 |
| ★ | 4 | Lv2 |
| ★★ | 8 more | Lv3 |
| ★★★ | 12 more | Lv4 |
| ★★★★ | 24 more | Lv5 — the cap |
48 duplicates in total takes any Pal from Partner Skill Lv1 to Lv5.
The documented example is Mau, producing 10 Gold Coins at Lv1 and 10 – 50 at Lv5 — up to five times the output from the same Pal on the same Ranch. Egg, Milk, Honey and Wool producers all follow the same pattern.
Chikipi is the cheapest Pal in the game to do this with. It is rarity 1, it spawns in every starting zone, and fodder level does not matter — a Level 2 Chikipi condenses exactly as well as a Level 60 one. Forty-eight of them is an afternoon in the green zones, not a project.
If your Cake production is the thing holding up your breeding, condensing your three Ranch producers is a far better use of time than building a second Ranch. Output is per Pal either way, but a four-star producer costs no extra worker slot — and slots are capped at your base level.
How to Catch Chikipi
- Throw a Pal Sphere. Nothing else is required.
- Be careful not to kill it. At 60 HP, an ordinary attack can finish it outright.
- Any green zone at Level 1 – 9 will have several.
- Catch dozens. They are condensing fodder and they cost nothing.
Practical tips
- Put it on a Ranch. Its Gathering Lv1 and Farming Lv1 are the floor of the scale.
- Egg, Milk and Honey are three of Cake's five ingredients — Chikipi, Mozzarina and Beegarde on one Ranch covers all three.
- No Cake means no breeding. This chicken is on the critical path of your entire roster.
- Chikipi's Egg is a cooking ingredient, not an incubatable Pal egg. They are different items.
- Condense it to four stars — 48 duplicates, and it can multiply egg output several times over.
- Food intake 1 makes it the cheapest resident you can keep.
Running your own Palworld 1.0 server
Cake production is passive, cumulative and completely dependent on the world being live — a Ranch that runs eight hours a day produces a third of what one running around the clock does. On a dedicated Palworld 1.0 server your egg, milk and honey producers keep working while you are offline, so the Breeding Farm has Cake waiting rather than stalling. Full crossplay lets a group share one breeding operation, and one-click backups protect a chain that takes several systems to assemble.
Conclusion
Chikipi is a rarity-1 Neutral Pal found in green zones at Level 1 – 9, catchable with a basic Pal Sphere and easy to kill by accident at 60 HP. It has no combat use and two Lv1 work suitabilities — and it is on the critical path of your entire roster, because its Egg Layer skill supplies one of Cake's five ingredients, and Cake is what makes the Breeding Farm run. Put it on a Ranch alongside Mozzarina (Milk) and Beegarde (Honey) and you cover three of the five in one building. Then condense it: 48 duplicates raises the Partner Skill from Lv1 to Lv5 and can multiply output several times over — and on the cheapest Pal in the game, that is an afternoon's work.
