Ancient Ruins in Palworld: 107 Rewards, and Every One Is Fixed

Ancient Ruins are scattered across Palworld's world map, and they hand out 107 distinct rewards through exploration and puzzle minigames. The detail that changes how you treat them: the reward for a given ruin is fixed. Solve the same puzzle location and you get the same item every time — which means a ruin you have completed is spent, and the whole system is a checklist rather than a farm.
The Rewards Are Not Random

| Total rewards | 107 distinct items |
| Distribution | Fixed per location — the same puzzle always gives the same item |
| Consequence | A solved ruin gives nothing on a return visit |
| Applied Handbooks I | 11 — one per work suitability |
| Disposable Implants | 3 |
| The rest | Schematics — roughly ninety of them |
Fixed rewards flip the usual advice. With random loot the answer is always "run it again"; here, running it again is worthless. The correct play is route planning — work out which ruins you have not solved, and go to those.
The eleven Applied Handbooks I are the highest-value entries on the list. They are the only permanent way to raise a Pal's work suitability, and the ruins hand out one for each suitability: Cooling, Gathering, Generating Electricity, Handiwork, Kindling, Lumbering, Medicine Production, Mining, Planting, Transporting and Watering.
Three Disposable Implants also appear — Heart of the Immovable King, Mastery of Fasting and Swift. As covered in our implants guide, these grant passives you cannot buy, which makes a ruin the only source for these three.
What Only Ruins Give You

The schematic list is not a random assortment — whole equipment families live here and nowhere else:
| Family | What the ruins hold |
|---|---|
| Support Whistles | All eleven — nine elemental (Fire, Water, Ice, Electric, Grass, Ground, Dark, Dragon, Neutral) plus Attack and Defense |
| Resistance Rings | All nine — Dark, Dragon, Electric, Fire, Grass, Ground, Ice, Neutral, Water |
| Air Walker line | Mk I, Mk II, Mk III and EX |
| Talismans | All nine — Anubis, Blazamut, Frostallion, Hartalis, Jetragon, Lyleen, Lyleen Noct, Neptilius, Orserk |
| Batons | All nine — Flame, Ice, Earth, Spirit and Celestial Emperor's, Divine Dragon's, and the Lords of Lightning, the Sea and the Underworld |
| Pal Rings | Ten — Blazehowl, Cryolinx, Elphidran, Faleris, Faleris Aqua, Fenglope Lux, Katress, Menasting Terra, Vaelet and Phantom |
| Pendants | Attack, Defense, Life, Diligence |
That is essentially the whole accessory system. If your Pals have no rings, whistles or talismans, the reason is almost certainly that you have not been solving ruins.
The Air Walker line is the movement upgrade worth prioritising. All four tiers — Mk I through EX — come from ruins, and as our movement guide covers, that family is the difference between walking around terrain and going over it.
Five items appear on paldb's own highlight list as the notable ruin exclusives: the Multiclimate Undershirt, the Phantom Ring, Warsect Terra's Belt, the Dogen Emblem and the Silvegis Emblem. The Multiclimate Undershirt is the practical standout — one garment instead of swapping Heat-Resistant and Cold-Resistant versions per biome.
Weapon and armour schematics also appear, but mostly at tier 2 and 3 rather than 4: Crossbow 1 and 3, Sword 3, Metal Bat 3, Musket 3, Single-Shot Rifle 3, Assault Rifle 2, SMG 2, Semi-Auto Shotgun 2, Old Revolver 2, and the Makeshift line at 2. Ruins are not where Legendary gear comes from — they are where the accessories do.
Plan the Route

Order your visits by what is actually blocking you:
- Applied Handbooks first. A permanent +1 to a Pal's work suitability compounds for the rest of the save, and eleven of them are sitting in ruins.
- The Air Walker line next, because movement upgrades make every subsequent trip cheaper — including trips to other ruins.
- Resistance Rings for the biome you are entering, not the one you are in. A Ring of Fire Resistance is worth collecting before Mount Obsidian, not during it.
- Support Whistles when your party composition settles, since each one buffs a single element.
- The Disposable Implants whenever you find them — they exist nowhere else.
Mark solved ruins. Because the reward is fixed, a solved ruin is dead content, and the only cost of forgetting which ones you have done is a wasted trip. The world map shows ruins once discovered; treat it as your checklist.
And do not wait for better gear. The reward does not scale with your level or your progress — the item was decided when the ruin was placed. A ruin you can reach at Level 30 gives the same schematic it would at Level 70.
Practical tips
- 107 rewards, and each ruin's reward is fixed — no repeat farming.
- 11 Applied Handbooks I — the only permanent work suitability upgrade.
- 3 Disposable Implants available nowhere else.
- All eleven Support Whistles and all nine Resistance Rings are ruin-only.
- The whole Air Walker line — Mk I, II, III and EX.
- Weapon schematics here are tier 2–3, not Legendary.
- The reward does not scale with your level — go early.
Running your own Palworld 1.0 server
Ruins are a map-wide checklist, which makes them the kind of content a group divides up rather than duplicates — one player clears the north, another the desert, and the schematics land in a shared world. A gamever Palworld server keeps that world running with full crossplay, automatic updates and one-click backups, so nobody re-solves a puzzle somebody already finished.
Conclusion
Palworld's Ancient Ruins hold 107 distinct rewards, and the mechanic that matters is that each location's reward is fixed — solve it once and it is spent, which turns the whole system into a route-planning problem rather than a farm. The list is dominated by schematics, and several whole families are ruin-exclusive: all eleven Support Whistles, all nine Resistance Rings, the complete Air Walker line (Mk I, II, III and EX), the Talismans, the Batons and most of the Pal Rings — essentially Palworld's entire accessory system. Alongside them sit eleven Applied Handbooks I, the only permanent way to raise a Pal's work suitability, and three Disposable Implants with no other source. Weapon and armour schematics do appear, but mostly at tier 2 and 3. Prioritise Handbooks, then the Air Walker line, then Resistance Rings for wherever you are going next — and remember the reward does not scale, so there is nothing to gain by waiting.
