How to Catch Univolt in Palworld (Location, Skills & Drops)

Univolt is catchable from Level 14 and its Level 80 World Tree population is the only documented source of Electric Radiant Gem at 10 – 20 per kill. Electric is the scarcest gem element in Palworld — among the 1.0 roster only two Pals drop it at all, at 1 – 3 with a 50% chance — so if an Electric Awakening is stuck, this is the fix. Its partner skill is also a straightforward damage multiplier for Electric builds.

Where to Find Univolt

- Ravine Grotto — Level 14 – 17. The earliest population.
- yellow_G — Level 20 – 24.
- Sea Breeze Archipelago Church — Level 31.
- The World Tree — Level 80.
- Pal Recruiter — various, Level 15 – 70.
Level 14 is unusually early for a Pal this useful. The partner skill is identical at every level, so you can pick one up in the first few hours and keep it for the rest of the run.
The Level 80 population is the gem farm:
| Drop | Quantity | Rate |
|---|---|---|
| Electric Radiant Gem | 10 – 20 | 100% |
| Decayed Ancient Relic | 30 – 50 | 100% |
| Dormant Ancient Relic | 10 – 20 | 100% |
| Gorgeous Ancient Relic | 4 – 8 | 100% |
Electric is the hardest gem element to source. Among Palworld 1.0's new roster, Electric Radiant Gems come from only Solmora Lux and Snock Lux — and Snock Lux is a dungeon-only spawn at Level 74 – 76, which makes it a poor farming route. Both give roughly 1 – 3 at 50%.
Univolt at Level 80 gives 10 – 20 at 100%. If you have been rationing Electric gems, this ends the problem.
How to Catch Univolt
- Bring Ground attackers. Electric is weak to Ground. From the 1.0 roster: Aegidron (850 – 1,075 Attack), Sekhmet, Moldron or Moldron Cryst.
- Do not bring Water Pals. Electric beats Water.
- Take the Level 14 – 17 Ravine Grotto population if you want the skill — a Pal Sphere or Mega Sphere will do.
- Carry Bulldosu if the Electric damage is a problem: its partner skill gives the party immunity to Electrify and 15% less Electric damage.
- Catching beats breeding. At CombiRank 2,270 the Large Electric Egg route is unreliable.
Skills & Stats

Univolt's partner skill improves your and your Pals' Electric damage to weak points by 25~40%.
That is the Electric counterpart to Moldron Cryst's Ice Overload, which does the same for Ice at the same 25 – 40% range. Both are conditional on hitting weak points, which rewards deliberate aim rather than spray.
Where it genuinely pays off: Water targets. Electric is the counter to Water, and Palworld's best Water farms are worth hitting hard — Azurobe at Level 80 drops Water Radiant Gems at 10 – 20, and Jormuntide drops Dragon gems and the full relic ladder. Both are Water and both fold to Electric.
Note the distinction from its Cryst variant. Univolt Cryst — one of Palworld 1.0's additions — has a completely different skill: Frigid Deity converts your attack type to Ice and adds 5 – 20% Attack while mounted. Base Univolt boosts Electric damage; Univolt Cryst changes your damage type. They are not interchangeable.
Its offensive kit:
- Thunder Rail (600) — the highest-power Electric skill documented in this knowledge base
- Lightning Bolt (450)
- Lightning Strike (300)
- Lightning Gale (120) — exclusive
That Thunder Rail at 600 is worth flagging: Electric has no 700-power option anywhere in the roster, so this is the ceiling for the element.

At Level 80:
- HP: 4,100 – 5,060
- Attack: 730 – 919
- Defense: 680 – 869
A soft health pool, but respectable Attack. At base, Generating Electricity Lv3 is modest — Orserk at Lv8 and Grizzbolt at Lv5 both beat it, and Orserk is easier to obtain at CombiRank 120.
Univolt is a party Pal and a farm target, not a base hire.
Practical tips
- Catch it at Level 14 – 17 in the Ravine Grotto. The partner skill is identical at every level.
- Farm the Level 80 population for Electric Radiant Gem at 10 – 20 (100%) — the only source at that rate, and Electric is the scarcest element.
- Do not confuse it with Univolt Cryst. Base Univolt boosts Electric damage; the Cryst variant converts your attacks to Ice.
- Thunder Rail at 600 is the highest-power Electric skill available anywhere.
- Bring Ground attackers; skip Water Pals.
Running your own Palworld 1.0 server
Electric gems are the bottleneck on Electric Awakening, and a Level 80 farm route is only worth setting up if the world is live when you have time for it. A dedicated Palworld 1.0 server keeps World Tree spawns available around the clock and your Relic Recycler processing the haul while you are offline. Full crossplay lets a group split the circuit, and one-click backups and automatic updates protect the result.
Conclusion
Univolt is an Electric Pal catchable from Level 14 – 17 in the Ravine Grotto and farmable at Level 80 in the World Tree. Its partner skill adds 25~40% Electric damage to weak points, which pays off against Palworld's best Water farm targets. More importantly, its Level 80 population is the only documented source of Electric Radiant Gem at 10 – 20 per kill (100%) — and Electric is the scarcest gem element in the game, with the 1.0 roster offering only 1 – 3 at 50% from two Pals, one of them dungeon-only. Bring Ground attackers, and do not confuse it with Univolt Cryst, whose skill is completely different.
