How to Catch Grizzbolt in Palworld (Location, Skills & Drops)

Grizzbolt hero card showing the Electric Pal Grizzbolt, Paldeck #185, against a yellow gradient.

Grizzbolt is the Pal from Palworld's first tower boss fight, and it is also a Pal you can own — with a partner skill that lets you ride it while firing a minigun. Beyond the spectacle it is a genuinely useful catch: Generating Electricity Lv5 at base, a 100% Electric Organ drop, and one of the few sources of Electric Radiant Gems. Here is where to find it.

Where to Find Grizzbolt

Where-to-find card listing Grizzbolt's three spawn populations and drop table.

    Three documented populations:

  • Sea Breeze Archipelago — the "Claws of Lightning" variant at Level 30. The cheapest fixed encounter.
  • worldtree_9_01_ALevel 70 – 72 in the World Tree.
  • worldtree_9_55_WorldTreeAuraLevel 80, the top-tier population.

Which to hunt depends on what you want. The partner skill is identical at every level, so if you want the minigun mount, take the Level 30 version at Sea Breeze Archipelago.

The Level 70+ populations are where the drop table opens up. At that tier Grizzbolt adds World Tree Holy Water (1 – 3, 50%), Electric Radiant Gem (1 – 3, 50%) and Ancient Relics across several tiers.

That Electric Radiant Gem matters. Electric is one of the scarcest gem elements — among Palworld 1.0's new roster only Solmora Lux and Snock Lux drop it. Grizzbolt is a third source, and a more accessible one than a dungeon-only Pal.

How to Catch Grizzbolt

  1. Bring Ground attackers. Electric is weak to Ground. From the 1.0 roster: Aegidron (Dragon/Ground, 850 – 1,075 Attack), Sekhmet (Ground, 790 – 997), Moldron (Fire/Ground) or Moldron Cryst (Ice/Ground).
  2. Do not bring Water Pals. Electric beats Water.
  3. Carry Bulldosu if you have one. Its partner skill makes the party take 15% less Electric damage and grants immunity to Electrify — a direct counter to Grizzbolt's threat.
  4. Match spheres to the level band. Ultra or Legendary at Level 30; Sol (58) or Ancient (64) Spheres for the Level 70 – 80 populations.
  5. Get it into the red before throwing — the HP factor runs from 0.769 at full health to 1.0 at zero.

Skills & Stats

Grizzbolt's partner skill is one of the most distinctive in Palworld: you can ride it and rapidly fire a minigun while mounted.

That is a mount that turns into a weapon platform. Where most rideable Pals give you a stat buff or a movement bonus, Grizzbolt gives you sustained ranged damage output without consuming your own ammunition or weapon durability. On a target that needs chipping down — say, an Alpha you intend to capture rather than kill — a minigun you cannot overkill with is genuinely useful.

Its signature moves include two exclusives:

  • Lethal Laser (600)
  • Heavy Thunder Tank (550) — exclusive
  • Lightning Strike (300)
  • Lightning Claw (150) — exclusive

Work and stats card listing Grizzbolt's work suitability and Level 80 stat ranges.

    At Level 80:

  • HP: 5,700 – 7,140
  • Attack: 730 – 919
  • Defense: 680 – 869

Solid rather than exceptional — Grizzbolt is a utility Pal whose value is in the mount and the base work rather than raw damage.

At base it covers four jobs: Generating Electricity Lv5, Transporting Lv5, Handiwork Lv4 and Lumbering Lv3. Among Palworld 1.0's new Pals, Generating Electricity tops out at Lv6 (Dynamoff and Solmora Lux), so a Lv5 generator that also hauls and crafts is a solid hire.

If you want the best in the game rather than a good all-rounder, Orserk — the Pal from the Eternal Pyre tower fight — has Generating Electricity Lv8, and its CombiRank of 120 makes it the easiest high-value Pal to breed. Grizzbolt's advantage is that it covers four jobs instead of three, and that it is available at Level 30 rather than 74+.

That matters more than it sounds, because several endgame stations require electricity to run at all, including the Ancient Kitchen (Technology Level 70). The Ancient Power Generator at Tech 75 needs Pals on it, and Grizzbolt qualifies.

Grizzbolt hatches from a Huge Electric Egg with a CombiRank of 1,020.

Practical tips

  • Catch the Level 30 Sea Breeze Archipelago version if you only want the minigun mount — the skill is identical.
  • Farm the Level 70+ populations for Electric Radiant Gems, one of the scarcest gem elements in the game.
  • Electric Organ at 2 – 4 (100%) makes it a better bulk organ farm than most Electric Pals.
  • Put it on the Ancient Power Generator. Electricity Lv5 is strong in a category where 1.0's new Pals top out at Lv6.
  • Bring Ground attackers and leave Water Pals behind.

Running your own Palworld 1.0 server

A Pal that generates electricity is one you leave working at base, and base work only pays off if the world keeps running. A dedicated Palworld 1.0 server keeps your generators, kitchens and assembly lines powered around the clock, so a Grizzbolt on the Ancient Power Generator is producing whether or not you are logged in. Full crossplay lets a group share one well-staffed base, and one-click backups and automatic updates keep it safe.

Conclusion

Grizzbolt is an Electric Pal found at Level 30 in the Sea Breeze Archipelago as "Claws of Lightning", and at Level 70 – 80 in the World Tree. Its partner skill lets you ride it while firing a minigun — a mount that doubles as a weapon platform. At base it brings Generating Electricity Lv5 plus Transporting Lv5, which matters because 1.0's roster is thin on power generation and several endgame stations need electricity. Catch the low-level version for the mount, farm the Level 70+ population for Electric Radiant Gems, and bring Ground attackers either way.
