Best Pals in Palworld 1.0: Combat Tier List (Level 80 Stats)
Palworld 1.0 raised the level cap to 80 and dropped a wave of new Pals and elemental variants into Sunreach, the Sky Islands and the World Tree — and a lot of them hit far harder than anything in your existing box. This tier list ranks the Pals introduced in the 1.0 update by their actual Level 80 stat ranges, so you know exactly which ones deserve a slot on your endgame team. Every number below comes from the in-game stat spreads for those Pals, not from feel.
One note on scope up front: this list covers the new 1.0 Pals and elemental variants. It is not a ranking of the entire Paldeck — plenty of legacy legendaries are still excellent, they just are not what this update added.
How This Tier List Is Ranked
Each Pal's Level 80 stats are a range, not a fixed number. The low end is what a wild catch with poor IVs and no passives lands on; the high end is what a well-bred, well-passived, fully condensed Pal reaches. Both ends matter, so every entry below shows the full spread.
The three numbers that decide a combat Pal:
- Attack — raw damage output, and the single biggest factor in how fast a boss dies.
- HP — how long the Pal survives while you reposition or reload.
- Defense — damage reduction, which matters more the longer a fight runs.
A Pal that is elite in one column and poor in the others is a specialist. A Pal that is strong in all three is a genuine S-tier pick.
S-Tier: The Hardest Hitters
These are the top Attack values among 1.0's new Pals.
| Pal | Element | Attack (Lv 80) | HP (Lv 80) | Defense (Lv 80) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Shaolong | Dragon / Water | 910 – 1,153 | 6,500 – 8,180 | 770 – 986 |
| Dandilord | Grass / Dark | 910 – 1,153 | 5,900 – 7,400 | 710 – 908 |
| Eidrolon Ignis | Dragon / Fire | 880 – 1,114 | 5,500 – 6,880 | 770 – 986 |
| Aegidron | Dragon / Ground | 850 – 1,075 | 5,100 – 6,360 | 890 – 1,142 |
| Eidrolon | Dragon / Dark | 850 – 1,075 | 5,500 – 6,880 | 770 – 986 |
| Moldron Cryst | Ice / Ground | 850 – 1,075 | 5,300 – 6,620 | 770 – 986 |
| Flaracle | Fire | 850 – 1,075 | 5,300 – 6,620 | 680 – 869 |
| Moldron | Fire / Ground | 850 – 1,075 | 5,300 – 6,620 | 740 – 947 |
Shaolong is the standout. It ties for the highest Attack in the update, carries the second-largest HP pool, and its partner skill Azure Sovereign turns it into a flying mount that grants +4% Attack per other Dragon Pal in your party. Stack a Dragon-heavy squad and that bonus compounds across the whole team. Its signature moves — Meteorain (700), Celestial Vortex (700) and Azure Dracoflare (600) — hit as hard as its statline suggests.
Dandilord matches Shaolong's Attack ceiling and brings the highest-power single skill in this group: Toxic Dance at 800, backed by Poison Promenade (700). It is also, unusually, a top-tier base worker (Planting Lv8) — a rare Pal that never sits idle.
Aegidron trades a little Attack for the best defensive profile of any Dragon here: 890 – 1,142 Defense plus a partner skill, Indestructible Fortress, that makes your party take 60% less explosive damage and grants immunity to Stun. That combination is why it is the Pal to bring to boss fights that spam knockdowns.
The Tanks: Highest HP and Defense

Panthalus is in a class of its own. Its Level 80 HP tops out at 10,260 — over 2,000 more than the next-highest Pal in the update — and its Defense range of 1,250 – 1,610 is not close to being matched by anything else. It also hits respectably at 820 – 1,036 Attack with Aqua Tornado (800) as its headline move.
The catch is that Panthalus is a giant Water whale, and its partner skill Resonant Guardian is base-oriented: one per base, it patrols the skies and bombards intruders from above. Treat it as a raid-defence anchor and a walking wall rather than a pure damage pick.

Behind Panthalus, the defensive tier looks like this:
- Aegidron — 890 – 1,142 Defense, plus explosive resistance and Stun immunity for the party.
- Tetroise Primo — 890 – 1,142 Defense. Its partner skill Stone-Chaser Archelon raises the durability of all your weapons and armor by 80–100% while it is in the party, which quietly saves a fortune in repairs on long expeditions.
- Knocklem Ignis — 860 – 1,103 Defense, and a genuinely excellent worker (Mining Lv7, Transporting Lv7).
- Dualith — 800 – 1,025 Defense, rideable, and covers five different base jobs.
Best Pal for Each Job
Raw stats only tell part of the story. Here is what to actually field:
- Best all-round damage dealer: Shaolong. Top Attack, huge HP, flying mount, party-wide Dragon scaling.
- Best boss-fight partner: Aegidron. The 60% explosive reduction and Stun immunity keep you upright through the attacks that normally end runs.
- Best raid / base defender: Panthalus. Nothing else in 1.0 has its HP and Defense.
- Best glass cannon: Dandilord. Ties for top Attack with an 800-power signature skill, but a softer 710 – 908 Defense.
- Best utility attacker: Eidrolon. Ridable flying mount, 850 – 1,075 Attack, and +2% Attack and Movement Speed per other Dragon or Dark Pal in your party.
- Best support for burn builds: Renjishi. Its Stage Combat skill makes your own attacks inflict Burn (2~6), stacking free damage-over-time onto whatever weapon you are already using.

Don't Sleep on Silvance
Silvance rarely makes flashy tier lists because its Attack (820 – 1,036) sits just outside the top group, but it pairs that with a 6,500 – 8,180 HP pool — tied for second-highest in the update — and Holy Burst at 700 power. Then it goes home and runs Medicine Production Lv8, the best healing-item output of any new Pal, alongside Planting Lv6 and Handiwork Lv6.
If you only have room to raise a handful of Pals to Level 80, a Pal that is top-five in HP and top-tier at a base station is worth more of your time than a marginally stronger pure attacker.
Practical tips
- Stat ranges are wide for a reason: the same Pal can end up 25% stronger with good IVs, four useful passives and full condensing. Catch multiples of any Pal on this list and keep the best roll.
- Party-scaling partner skills (Shaolong, Eidrolon, Moldron) reward committing to a theme. A five-Dragon squad behind Shaolong is stronger than five individually "better" mixed Pals.
- Attack numbers do not include element matchups. A 700-power Ice move into a Dragon weakness will out-damage an 800-power neutral hit, so build a squad that covers several elements.
- Most of these Pals live in Level 76–80 zones. Bring endgame armor and biome-appropriate resistance gear before you go hunting them.
Running your own Palworld 1.0 server
Raising a full team of Level 80 Pals takes real hours — breeding for passives, condensing duplicates and farming Alphas on a loop. On a dedicated Palworld 1.0 server that work keeps happening whether or not you are logged in: your base Pals keep producing, your friends can jump in on their own schedule across any platform thanks to full crossplay, and one-click backups and automatic updates mean a bad patch or a corrupted save never costs you a week of breeding progress.
Conclusion
If you want the short version: Shaolong is the best all-round new Pal in Palworld 1.0, Panthalus is the toughest thing in the update by a wide margin, Aegidron is the boss-fight specialist, and Dandilord is the glass cannon that doubles as an elite base worker. Build around the party-scaling partner skills rather than chasing individual stat lines, and remember that a well-bred Pal at the top of its range beats a fresh catch at the bottom of a "better" one.
