Zogre and Zamorakian Packs in Dragonwilds: Ore Without Mining

A Zogre Pack contains Gold Ore 2–10, Silver Ore 2–10 and Iron Ore 2–6 — all on 100% entries. Every one, every time. Given that gold and silver come from exactly one region in the game and every ore node respawns on a three-day timer, that makes zogres a genuine alternative to a Bloodblight Swamp mining circuit.
The Zogre Pack

| Contents | Quantity | Chance |
|---|---|---|
| Gold Ore | 2–10 | Always |
| Silver Ore | 2–10 | Always |
| Iron Ore | 2–6 | Always |
All three are 100% entries. There is no roll — a Zogre Pack is a fixed payout of three ore types, and the only variable is quantity.
Dropped by zogres, which makes the whole thing a single-enemy farm rather than a route.
The quantities are not small. At the top of the range that is ten gold, ten silver and six iron from one pack — a meaningful haul from one kill.
Compare that to what mining the same ores costs, and the pack starts looking like the better deal.
Why That Matters

Gold and Silver ore come from Bloodblight Swamp and nowhere else. As our mining node guide sets out, those two are the region's exclusives — if a recipe wants silver, you are going to the swamp.
And they are not cheap to mine. Gold Ore Nodes are 250 health per ore; Silver Ore Nodes are 200 — so ten gold ore is 2,500 health of swinging, before travel.
Every ore node in the game respawns in three in-game days. That is long enough that a cleared area stays cleared for a real stretch of play, which is why mining is a circuit rather than a camp.
A Zogre Pack sidesteps all of it. No region trip, no 250-health nodes, no three-day wait — 2–10 of each, guaranteed, from a kill you can repeat.
Iron Ore 2–6 on top is the part that is genuinely incidental, since iron is common. It is the gold and silver that make this worth knowing.
So if your smelting chain is blocked on silver, the question is not where the nearest Bloodblight node is — it is where the nearest zogres are.
The Zamorakian Packs

There are two Zamorakian packs, and they come from different enemies:
| Pack | Dropped by |
|---|---|
| Zamorakian Warrior Pack | Black Knight guardians, snipers, warriors, elite Black Knights, Houndmaster Rexiton, Sergeant Blister |
| Zamorakian Mage Pack | Mage of Zamorak, Zamorakian acolyte |
The Warrior Pack has an unusually broad source list — six enemy types including two named ones — which makes it the pack you will accumulate simply by clearing Dowdun Reach.
The Mage Pack guarantees Mystic Fibres 1–2, which is a crafting material rather than ore or runes — so the two Zamorakian packs pay in different currencies despite the shared name.
Both are Dowdun Reach content, which pairs them with the Black Knight's Fortress quest and its thirteen shards. You will be fighting these enemies regardless.
Which is the general point about packs. They are not a farm you set out on — they are the accumulated by-product of content you are already clearing. The mistake is selling them unopened, and the fix is simply to check what each one contains before deciding.
Watch for the named drops. Houndmaster Rexiton and Sergeant Blister both drop Warrior Packs, so a boss kill in Dowdun Reach pays twice.
Practical tips
- Zogre Pack: Gold Ore 2–10, Silver Ore 2–10, Iron Ore 2–6 — all guaranteed.
- Gold and Silver come only from Bloodblight Swamp otherwise.
- Gold nodes are 250 health per ore; silver nodes 200.
- Every ore node respawns on a three-day timer.
- So zogres are a real alternative to a swamp mining circuit.
- Zamorakian Warrior Packs drop from six Black Knight types including two named bosses.
- Zamorakian Mage Packs give Mystic Fibres 1–2, not ore.
- Never sell a pack unopened — check what it contains first.

Conclusion
The Zogre Pack is the most directly useful drop of its kind in Dragonwilds: Gold Ore 2–10, Silver Ore 2–10 and Iron Ore 2–6, every one a guaranteed 100% entry. That matters because gold and silver exist only in Bloodblight Swamp, their nodes cost 250 and 200 health per ore, and every ore node respawns on a three-day timer — so a pack that hands you up to ten of each is a real alternative to the mining circuit rather than a supplement to it. The two Zamorakian packs pay differently despite the shared name: the Warrior Pack drops from six Black Knight types including Houndmaster Rexiton and Sergeant Blister, while the Mage Pack comes from the mage of Zamorak and Zamorakian acolytes and guarantees Mystic Fibres 1–2. All of them are by-products of content you are clearing anyway — the only mistake available is selling one unopened.
