     Photon Receptors are a key material for crafting high-tier tech like the Keypad Hacker Tier 5, but finding them can feel like searching for a needle in a haystack if you don’t know where to look.

 

 

 

What Are Photon Receptors?

 

     Photon Receptors are high-end optical detectors that are essential for crafting advanced equipment like the Neutrino Mapper, Laser Turrets, and Tier 5 hacking devices. Found only in specific locations, these items are crucial for late-game progress and upgrades.

 

 

 

Jetpack or Diving Suit

 

     The Neutrino Detector is located in a lone tower surrounded by water in the Hydroplant. There are two primary ways to access it:

 

 

     1. Using a Jetpack: This is the quickest and most efficient method. With the Jetpack equipped, head to the tram area and take the ramp leading up. Cross the bridge guarded by snipers and use the Jetpack to leap across the reservoir to the tower. Keep tapping your Jetpack to conserve fuel and maintain lift.

 

     2. Using a Diving Suit: If you don’t have a Jetpack, the Diving Suit is your next best option. Swim through the underwater tunnels located near glowing Reservoir Growth to reach the Neutrino Detector. Ensure you have sufficient oxygen supplies for the journey. And be careful, because it’s a real labyrinth to find a way. Follow the green lamps as a sign of the right way. Keep in mind what direction you need to swim. As an advantage of the underwater adventure is gathering Murkweed and Reservoir Growth.

 

 

 

Collecting Photon Receptors Inside the Neutrino Detector

 

     Once you’re inside the Neutrino Detector, descend the ladder to the lower chamber. You’ll find walls covered in glowing orange domes. These domes contain Photon Receptors. Use a melee weapon or explosives to break them and collect the materials. The area is well-stocked, so you can gather a significant number of Photon Receptors in one trip.

     Jetpack and Diving Suit are unlocked almost simultaneously. Once you have crafted an air compressor it will be easy to choose your best gear and favorite routes to the Neutrino Detector.
