Where to Find Tin in Core Keeper 1.0
Clay Caves Biome
To find tin ore, you’ll need to journey to the Clay Caves biome. This area is your best bet for scoring plenty of tin. How do you get there? Start from the Dirt biome, and get ready to dig. You’ll need to create a bridge using wood or dirt tiles to cross gaps and reach this new area.

Once you’re in the Clay Caves, keep your eyes peeled for glittering gray or silver spots on the walls. These are your tin ore deposits. Use a Copper Pickaxe to mine them—just remember, the Clay Caves are packed with tin, so having a backup pickaxe is a smart move.

Other Tin Sources
If you’re not keen on mining or want to mix things up, here are some additional ways to grab tin ore:
- Bearded Merchant: You can buy tin ore from him for 15 Ancient Coins. You’ll need to activate the Ghorm Statue to unlock this option.
- Larva Hive: Fish in this sub-biome, and you might just reel in some tin ore.

- Chests: Open up Ancient and standard chests—there’s a chance they’ll contain tin ore.
- Enemies: Certain enemies like the Caveling Shaman and Glurch the Abominous Mass drop tin ore when defeated.

- Open Chests for Tin Ore in Core Keeper 1.0: Check Clay pots and Wooden Crates; they might surprise you with a tin ore find.
