Mandible, Royal Jelly, Bilebag and Scale Hide: Four Mistlands Drops and What Each One Gates
The Mistlands drops four materials that are easy to overlook because none of them is Carapace. Mandible comes off Seeker Soldiers, Bilebag off Gjall, Scale hide off Hares, and Royal jelly off Seeker Broods. Between them they gate a spear, a helmet, an axe, a bomb, a throne and a rug — and one of the four is a food rather than a crafting material.

A note on scope. The Mistlands has far more than four materials — Carapace, Black marble, Yggdrasil wood, Sap, Soft tissue, Blue jute, Black core, Magecap and Jotun puffs are all found there, and Carapace in particular is the biome's armour bulk material. This article covers the four small drops that each gate a specific recipe and are easy to walk past; the bulk materials have their own guides.

All four teleport, which is worth stating because the Mistlands is far from most bases and Valheim's teleport restriction on ores and metals shapes every other logistics decision. None of these four is affected.
Royal jelly is the lightest at 0.1 — a fifth of the other three — because it is a food rather than a material.

Mandible: the Soldier's Drop
Mandible comes from Seeker Soldiers, the family's heavy at 1,500 / 3,000 / 4,500 health. It feeds three recipes:
- Carapace helmet
- Carapace spear
- and a third Carapace-line item
That makes it a bottleneck on the Mistlands armour set, and it is a bottleneck attached to the hardest ordinary fight in the biome. Seekers resist Blunt, Pierce and Slash simultaneously, so there is no cheap way to farm one — except the Soldier's abdomen weak point, which is weak to Blunt, Pierce, Slash, Fire, Frost and Lightning all at once.

Bilebag: Two Recipes, One Fight
Bilebag drops from Gjall, and it makes exactly two things:

Jotun Bane is the reason. At chop 70/79 it out-chops every other one-handed axe in the game and reaches Yggdrasil shoots, while adding 40 flat Poison to its swing. It gives up 20 slash to the Black metal axe and wins on everything else a woodcutter cares about.
Gjall drop it at 1 per kill, guaranteed — the Bilebag is a 100% drop — which makes the constraint the fight rather than the roll. A Gjall has 1,500 to 4,500 health, is immune to stagger, and its egg sacs are the weak point, very weak to Pierce.
Scale Hide: the One From a Passive Creature
Scale hide comes from Hares, which are not a threat, and it is the only one of the four you can gather without a real fight.
Its uses split across two categories:
Building — the Black marble throne and the Hare rug. Crafting — Mistlands gear.
That building half is unusual. Most Mistlands materials feed weapons and armour; Scale hide feeds furniture, which makes it the material you want if you are decorating a Mistlands outpost rather than arming for one.

Royal jelly is a raw, balanced Mistlands food — equal health and stamina, which is unusual, since most Valheim foods lean one way or the other.
15/15 is weak for its tier, in the same way Magecap and Jotun puffs are: it exists to be cooked into something better rather than eaten raw. Its 900-second duration matches the standard food window.
Two sources, and the second is the good one. Seeker Broods drop it — at 20 health they die to anything — but it also appears as piles in Infested Mines, which is a gathering job rather than a fight. If you need jelly in quantity, go into a mine and pick it up.
