Palworld v1.0.1 & v1.0.2 Patch Notes: What Changed for Servers
Palworld 1.0 launched on 10 July 2026, and Pocketpair has shipped four builds since. If you have been waiting for new Pals, new regions or a content drop, the short answer is: there is none yet — every post-launch patch has been bug fixes. But two of them matter a great deal if you run a dedicated server, because they fix crashes and disconnects that were specific to multiplayer. Here is the full rundown.
Every Build Since Launch
| Build | Date | What it was |
|---|---|---|
| v1.0 | 10 Jul 2026 | Launch — 72 new Pals, Sunreach, the World Tree, Level 80 cap |
| v1.0.1 | 15 Jul 2026 | Save data and campfire fixes |
| v1.0.2 | 29 Jul 2026 | Stability, multiplayer, achievements, controls |
| v1.0.2.100993 | 30 Jul 2026 | MOD stability — PC only |
| v1.0.2.101103 | 30 Jul 2026 | World Tree boss loading fix |
No new content in any of them. No Pals, no items, no regions, no systems. If you were holding off on a playthrough waiting for a content patch, there is nothing to wait for right now.
v1.0.1 — The Save Data Fix
The first hotfix, five days after launch, was small but important:
- Fixed an issue where save data could be unintentionally discarded after certain operations.
- Fixed an issue where the burning status could continue after touching a campfire.
That first line is the one to note. A save-loss bug is the worst class of problem in a survival game, and if you are still running the launch build, this alone is reason enough to update.
v1.0.2 — The One That Matters for Dedicated Servers

This is the substantial one. The crashes and disconnections section reads like a list of things server owners had been reporting:
- Fixed an issue where all players could be disconnected during the Panthalus battle on dedicated servers.
- Fixed an issue where players could crash during the Panthalus battle on dedicated servers.
- Fixed a crash when attempting Japanese text input in fullscreen mode.
Both Panthalus fixes are explicitly dedicated-server issues. Panthalus is the toughest Pal in the update — up to 10,260 HP and 1,610 Defense at Level 80 — so it is a long fight with a lot of simultaneous effects, and it was taking whole servers down with it. If your group has been avoiding that encounter, it is safe again.
Multiplayer fixes in the same build:
- Fixed terrain failing to display correctly from the host's perspective when a player was already in the World Tree area as the host transitioned in.
- Fixed the Tower Boss "Victor & Shadowbeak" disappearing after using a teleportation attack mid-battle.
- Fixed the final boss battle where a guest waiting to respawn could have their light fail to display after respawning.
Performance: processing load during gameplay in Sunreach was reduced. That is a direct framerate improvement in one of 1.0's two new regions, and on a busy server it also means less work per tick.
Everything Else in v1.0.2

Missions
- Fixed the screen remaining faded out in the main mission "The First Islander" if dialogue was interrupted during a fade.
- Same fix for the sub-mission "Captured Adventurer."
Achievements
- Fixed the "Predator Hunter" achievement failing to unlock despite meeting its requirements.
- Fixed an achievement failing to unlock after obtaining the required Pal Effigies.
- Fixed outdated icons on Xbox for two Lifmunk Effigy achievements.
Controls
- Added key rebinding for "Attack that enemy!" and "Inventory."
- Fixed unrelated settings being treated as control conflicts when carrying over from pre-v0.7 versions.
- Fixed the middle mouse button being incorrectly treated as a conflict.
- Fixed the Inventory Shortcut option not appearing in Controls.
Graphics and UI
- Fixed the player model's eye area displaying incorrectly during cutscenes with certain face types.
- Fixed mining damage numbers sometimes displaying as 0.
v1.0.2.100993 and .101103 — Two Same-Day Hotfixes
On 30 July, Pocketpair shipped two more builds:
- v1.0.2.100993 — Mod support. Adjustments to improve stability when playing with MODs. This patch is applied to the PC version only, and Pocketpair confirms it will not negatively affect crossplay with other versions.
- v1.0.2.101103 — Fixed an infinite loading screen after defeating the World Tree boss in some cases. Again, crossplay is unaffected.
That World Tree boss fix is worth calling out: an infinite load after a major boss kill is the kind of bug that can cost a group its progress on the encounter.
What Server Owners Should Do

- Back up before you update. Always, but especially given that v1.0.1 existed specifically to fix a save-discard bug.
- Match the server build to the client build. Version mismatches are the most common cause of "cannot connect" reports after a patch.
- If you run MODs, note that v1.0.2.100993 is PC-only. Plan accordingly if your player base is mixed.
- Crossplay is unaffected by all of these patches — Pocketpair states this explicitly for the PC-only builds.
- Retest the Panthalus fight. It was the specific encounter taking servers down, and it should now be stable.
Practical tips
- There is no new content in any post-launch build. Nothing to wait for before starting a playthrough.
- The save-discard fix in v1.0.1 makes updating from the launch build non-optional.
- Both Panthalus fixes are dedicated-server specific — if you play solo, you were never affected.
- The Sunreach performance improvement helps most on busy servers where that region was already heavy.
- No dated content roadmap has been announced. Pocketpair has said post-launch support continues, but there is no confirmed next content patch.
Running your own Palworld 1.0 server
Every patch on this page is a reminder of what a managed host actually saves you: matching builds, backing up before you update, and restoring quickly when something goes wrong. A gamever Palworld 1.0 server handles automatic updates so your build tracks Pocketpair's without manual intervention, and one-click backups so a bad patch day is a restore rather than a rebuild. Add full crossplay and 24/7 uptime and the only thing left to think about is who is tanking Panthalus.
Conclusion
Four builds since launch — v1.0.1, v1.0.2, v1.0.2.100993 and v1.0.2.101103 — and not a single line of new content. What they did fix matters, though: a save data discard bug in v1.0.1, and in v1.0.2 the Panthalus disconnects and crashes that were specific to dedicated servers, plus World Tree terrain issues, the vanishing Victor & Shadowbeak tower boss, and a performance improvement in Sunreach. If you run a server, update, back up first, and retest Panthalus. If you are waiting for new Pals, there is currently no dated roadmap to wait for.
