How to use Pedestals of Souls in V Rising Oakveil Update
You’ve conquered V Blood bosses and claimed powerful Soul Shards but you’ve noticed they lock you out of flight and mounts. Pedestals of Souls are your solution to show off those artifacts and get your mobility back. In this guide you’ll learn how to unlock the pedestal recipe, craft your first pedestal, place it in your castle, slot in Soul Shards and keep everything organized while still looking stylish in your vampiric lair.
Crafting pedestal
First open your build menu and navigate to the storage tab. Slide the bar until you see Pedestal of Souls.

You need four dark silver ingots and one onyx tear per pedestal. If you haven’t farmed onyx tears yet, haunt Mortium Ruins and salvage them from crystal clusters. Dark silver ingots require smelting dark silver ore which you can mine in Oakveil caverns or obtain from Venom Blade soldiers. Once materials are in your inventory click the pedestal icon to queue it in your crafting station.

Placing pedestal
After crafting walk into your castle and choose a spot with enough floor space. Pedestals occupy a two-tile footprint so give each ample room. Look for a hallway or throne room alcove where it won’t block traffic. Press the build hotkey, select your pedestal from the storage tab and left-click the floor to plant it. You’ll see a stone platform appear, ready to hold a Soul Shard.

Right after placement open your inventory and find a Soul Shard you want to display. Drag it onto the pedestal slot in the build menu or simply stand next to it and right-click the shard. The pedestal model instantly updates to show the shard hovering above. Your amulet slot frees up and you can now use Bat Form or summon your steed again depending on the defeated boss.

Each Pedestal requires only its own Amulet.

Decorating with pedestals
Pedestals aren’t just functional they’re decorative too. Place colored accent torches on either side to highlight each shard. Group similar shards together in a display hall or line your main hall with alternating pedestals to create a serpent-themed corridor. Pedestals survive server restarts and castle upgrades so your display remains intact.
Pedestals of Souls require no upkeep beyond repairing your Soul Shards themselves through Rift Incursions. If a shard decays it disappears from the pedestal until you reclaim it. Always keep an eye on world events to top up your shard durability so your pedestals never go empty.

Pedestals of Souls transform your castle into a living museum of your achievements, letting you show off Soul Shards while regaining flight and mounts. Craft them, place them wisely, swap shards as you like and decorate your halls. With pedestals you get both form and function in your gothic domain.
