To craft the abyssal harpoon, you'll need the following materials:

- Chitin x30

- Fine wood x8

- Leather scraps x3

    Most of these materials can be obtained relatively easily. Leather scraps can be acquired from boars, while fine wood can be gathered by chopping down birch and oak trees in the Meadows biome using a bronze axe or better.

    Now, here's the tricky part: Chitin. This valuable resource can only be found on Leviathans, which are small green islands scattered throughout the Ocean biome. When you come across a Leviathan, sail close to it and climb onto its surface. You'll notice abyssal barnacles on its back.

 

 

    Use any type of pickaxe to mine these abyssal barnacles. But beware, there's a 10% chance that the Leviathan will awaken and submerge dramatically into the water. Ensure your ship is nearby, so you don't drown while dealing with this underwater giant.

    Once you've gathered the required materials, head to a level 2 workbench to craft your very own abyssal harpoon.

    The connection between you and the harpooned target can be broken in several ways:

   - Attacking the creature with the harpoon again or with another weapon.

   - Moving too far away from the leashed target.

   - Running out of stamina while keeping the creature leashed.

   - Attempting to drag the target through impassable terrain or structures.

 

 

Utility in Valheim

 

    The abyssal harpoon's utility extends beyond combat. Here are some practical applications:

    Relocating Creatures: Use it to move creatures like boars into pens or desired locations.

    Drag Sea Serpents to land after defeating them, making their valuable drops accessible.
