How to Teleport in Core Keeper 1.0

Ever been deep in the heart of Core Keeper, only to realize that your base is miles away and running back just feels like a punishment? With the introduction of teleportation in Core Keeper 1.0, you can now zip across the map in the blink of an eye.

Unlocking Teleportation

To get your hands on the teleportation device, you need to defeat Gorn the Devourer. Once you’ve vanquished this foe, you’ll receive an item called Gorm's Horn.

Take this horn to the Gorm Statue at the Core. Placing it there will unlock the ability to interact with the statue, which is your gateway to acquiring the teleportation device.

Crafting the Recall Idol

To teleport back to your base, you’ll use an item called the Recall Idol. You’ll need 1 Ancient Gemstone and 1 Mechanical Part to craft it.

Although these items are relatively cheap and easy to gather, the Recall Idol is a one-time-use item. Place it in the hotbar slot and hold the right mouse button. Once it’s used, it’s consumed, so stock up if you plan on using it frequently! Also, keep in mind that using the Recall Idol returns you to the Core, not your bed, so plan accordingly.

Building Portals

For more permanent teleportation solutions, you’ll want to build Portals. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to unlock and craft them:

     1. Advancing to Octarine Tier: You need to reach the Octarine tier of weapons and armor. This involves defeating Glurch, Ghorm, and Malugaz.

     2. Crafting Materials:

        - Scarlet Bars: Mine Scarlet Ore in Azeos' Wilderness.

        - Coral Planks: Craft these from Coral Wood at the Table Saw, which you need to power using an Electricity Generator.

        - Octarine Bars: Mine Octarine Ore from the Sunken Sea biome.

     3. Building the Octarine Workbench:

        - Materials Needed: 50 Coral Planks, 25 Scarlet Bars, and 40 Octarine Bars.

     4. Crafting the Portal:

        - Materials Needed: 100 Copper Bars, 100 Iron Bars, 100 Octarine Bars, 200 Coral Planks, 20 Mechanical Parts, and 30 Ancient Gemstones.

Once you’ve crafted your Portal, place it in your base or any strategic location. Remember, Portals need a 10-minute charge after placement before they can be used, but once charged, they can be used indefinitely without further charging.

Using Portals and Waypoints

Portals and Waypoints allow you to travel between different locations in Core Keeper almost instantly. To use a Portal:

     - Place the Portal: Set it down in a desired location.

     - Charge Time: Wait for 10 minutes after placing the Portal.

     - Teleport: Stand next to the Portal, press 'E,' and select your destination from the available options.

You can also place multiple Portals across the map, which is particularly useful for accessing various biomes or boss arenas quickly. Just remember, if you move a Waypoint, it needs another 10-minute charge.

Tips and Tricks

     - Stock Up on Resources: Portals are resource-intensive. Ensure you have ample materials before crafting.

     - Plan Your Placement: Think strategically about where to place Portals for efficient travel.

     - Beware of Charging Time: Make sure you’re not in a rush when placing Portals, as they take time to become operational.

Teleportation in Core Keeper 1.0 is a game-changer, letting you traverse the expansive world with ease. By defeating Gorn the Devourer and crafting either the Recall Idol or Portals, you can make your adventures and base management much more efficient. So go ahead, harness the power of teleportation, and explore every corner of Core Keeper without the hassle of long, tedious runs!
