As for refined salt, you can mine salt ore, convert it to crude salt, and then refine it into salt using a specific machine.

     For anti-radiation essence, you'll need excitement, cactus essence, essential oils, and mysterious magnets. You can snag mysterious magnets from the chests outside the Holy Ruins.
