How to Get Wool in Enshrouded Souls of the Frozen Frontier Update

Wool is an important material in Enshrouded Souls of the Frozen Frontier, especially for crafting warm clothing and padding for armor. Getting wool isn’t as straightforward as picking it up—you’ll need to work with Yaks, the wool-producing animals in the game. Here's how you can gather wool to survive the cold environment of the Albaneve Summits.

Produce Wool to craft warm clothes.

Find Yaks in the Albaneve Summits

Yaks can be found in the Albaneve Summits, a cold and snowy region. These creatures are often spotted near caves and snowdrifts. While Yaks are common in this area, they require a little extra effort to tame. Be prepared for a bit of a challenge as you track them down.

Craft Yak Food Bait

To attract Yaks, you’ll need to craft Yak Food Bait. You can create this bait by gathering the following materials:

     - 1 Honey

     - 2 Plant Fibers

     - 1 Corncob

Once you have these items, visit Emily the Farmer or another NPC who can craft items for you. This bait will help draw the Yaks closer without scaring them off, making it easier to tame them.

Tame the Yak

When you approach a Yak, move slowly to avoid startling it. Throw the Yak Food Bait nearby to catch the Yak’s attention. Once the Yak notices the bait, a question mark will appear above its head, followed by a yellow heart when it’s ready for you to approach.

Repeat the process for each of the Yak's hearts. After three interactions, you’ll have successfully tamed the Yak.

Care for Your Yak

After taming a Yak, you’ll need to take care of it to ensure it produces Raw Wool. Build a comfortable environment with shelter, food, and a few key items like a Yak Pillow and Yak Feeder. These will help keep the Yak content, encouraging it to produce Raw Wool, which you can use to craft clothing and padding.

Breed Yaks for More Wool

To increase your wool production, breed your tamed Yaks. You’ll need two Yaks and enough pillows to accommodate them. Once you’ve set up a suitable environment, your Yaks will breed at night. This will give you additional Yaks to expand your herd and generate more wool over time.

Process Raw Wool into Wool

Once your Yak begins producing Raw Wool, you can process it at the Improved Spinning Wheel. The conversion is quick and allows you to turn 20 Raw Wool into 1 Wool. Wool is necessary for crafting various warm items, including padding for armor and clothing, to help you withstand the harsh cold of the Albaneve Summits.

The wool will be used to craft warm clothes, which are necessary for surviving the new, coldest biome, the Albaneve Summits. Make sure to maintain a steady supply of resources, from breeding the yaks to producing the wool.

Obtaining wool in Enshrouded Souls of the Frozen Frontier requires more than just finding woolly animals. By taming Yaks, keeping them well-fed and happy, and creating a breeding program, you’ll have a steady supply of Raw Wool. Once processed, you can use it to craft gear that will help you survive the cold and explore the snowy peaks. Start taming Yaks and gathering wool to prepare for the challenges ahead.
