How To Get The Twinblade In V Rising Oakveil Update

If you're into weapons that feel fast, flashy, and absolutely devastating when used right, then the Twinblade is gonna be your new best friend. Introduced in the Oakveil update, this bad boy brings a fluid, double-strike rhythm to the battlefield that rewards precise timing and a bit of aggression. But before you get to slice and spin like a vampire blender, you’ll need to defeat a tough boss in one of the most dramatic battles Vardoran has to offer. Yep, we’re talking about Gaius the Cursed Champion. Think coliseum. Think danger zone. Think one-on-one mayhem.

Master the Twinblades rhythm to become a spinning death machine in V Rising.

Where to find the Twinblade

To get your hands on the Twinblade, you need to defeat a level 55 V Blood boss named Gaius the Cursed Champion. He hangs out in the Colosseum, which used to be more of a PvP social spot but now serves as a full-on arena encounter. You’ll find the Colosseum right in the middle of Dunley Farms.

Head to the Colosseum in Dunley Farms to challenge Gaius the Cursed Champion.

When you approach the green battle banner in the center, prepare yourself. This isn’t your average brawl. The arena locks you into a shrinking circle and stepping outside that ring means damage over time and, probably, death. It’s designed to keep the heat on and force you into Gaius’s face. Which is exactly where he wants you. Because Gaius hits like a truck and has a kit designed to punish distance, punish dodging, and punish passivity.

How to beat Gaius the Cursed Champion

So, Gaius doesn’t mess around. He’s got a deadly combo of leap attacks and powerful melee strikes that will absolutely wreck you if you’re not careful. The key to winning here is sticking to the center of the arena and never giving him too much space. If you back off, he’ll just leap at you and slam you back outside the ring, which then starts draining your health. Keep your movement tight and stay within striking range as much as you can. Shields are super helpful here - spells like Chaos Shield or Cursed Shield can absorb hits and even reflect damage.

Stay inside the shrinking battle zone and avoid Gaius leap and push attacks in V Rising

Gaius also has a bad habit of getting stuck in the scenery, especially near the arena’s edges after using his leap. If that happens, it’ll reset his health, so avoid fighting near the border. Melee weapons like the Spear or Axes can be a big help to deal heavy bursts quickly, and mobility spells like Veil of Chaos or Storm Veil can help you reposition when he tries to push you around. Just don’t let up. Stay aggressive, keep your cooldowns ready, and don't forget to dodge when he powers up a big move.

How the Twinblade works

Once you put Gaius down, you’ll unlock the blueprint for the Twinblade and then it’s time to craft it and get slicing. To bring this weapon into reality you need to head to your smithing station in your Castle and open the weapon crafting menu.

After you craft the standard iron Twinblade you can later swap to merciless iron in the same smithing station by salvaging the old blade and feeding it 4 merciless iron ingots plus the blueprint upgrade token for even deadlier damage.

Best builds and spell synergies

The Twinblade thrives on speed and control, so build around those traits. Storm Veil is a great pick because it boosts your attack speed and keeps you zooming around the map. Blood Rage also makes a lot of sense here - it not only boosts your attack speed but can also apply fading snares, giving you more chances to land those tight follow-up hits. Chaos Veil is another strong option. With its explosion effect on contact, it fits perfectly into a Twinblade combo and adds some AoE firepower. When it comes to defensive spells, Phantom Aegis is a smart pick. It lets you survive aggressive trades and keep up the pressure without having to back off every time things get spicy. Another top pick is Frost Nova, which freezes groups of enemies and sets them up perfectly for a Sweeping Strike or a Javelin pull combo. Overall, the more you can keep enemies snared, juggled, or frozen in place, the more deadly the Twinblade becomes.

Pair Twinblade with Chaos Veil or Blood Rage for devastating combos in V Rising

This weapon is all about pressure and control. Don’t sit back and wait. Use Javelin to set the tone of the fight, toss it out, watch your enemies panic, then zip right into them when they think they’re safe. Sweeping Strike is your follow-up. Hit multiple enemies, knock them around, and throw off their rhythm. When you're in PvP, try opening with a ranged spell like Frost Bat, follow up with Javelin, and then dash in to clean up with a chain of basic attacks. In PvE, it’s all about rhythm. Twinblade has great AoE potential, so use terrain to line up enemies and just mow them down. Combine it with spell power buffs or weapon coatings like Storm or Chaos to add even more effects to your strikes. The more chaos you can create, the more powerful this weapon becomes.

Use Twinblades mobility and snare effects to dominate PvE and PvP fights in V Rising

The Twinblade is one of the most exciting additions in the Oakveil update and easily one of the most fun weapons to master. From its snare-filled Javelin throws to its soaring Sweeping Strikes, every move feels impactful and satisfying. Beat Gaius, claim your prize, and turn every battle into a dance of blades. With the right build, the Twinblade can turn even the toughest enemies into shredded cloth. Now get out there, vampire, and let it rip.
