How to Get Honey in Palworld

Honey in Palworld is a valuable resource used primarily for crafting Cake, which is essential for breeding Pals. This guide will walk you through all the ways to obtain Honey, including which Pals drop it, how to farm it using a Ranch, and the best locations to collect it.

Use a Feed Bag to store Honey and keep your character and Pals well-fed

What is Honey?

Honey is a consumable ingredient that plays a key role in crafting and survival. It is mainly used in making Cake, which is required for breeding Pals at a Breeding Farm. Additionally, it can be consumed to replenish hunger, making it useful for both your character and Pals.

How to get

Honey can be obtained through three main methods: defeating Honey-dropping Pals, capturing and butchering them, or farming it using a Ranch. Each method varies in efficiency and sustainability, so choosing the right one depends on your playstyle.

How to use

Honey has two primary uses. First, it can be stored in a Feed Bag to provide nourishment for you and your Pals, ensuring you stay well-fed during exploration. Second, it is a key ingredient in crafting Cake. To make Cake, you’ll need: Flour x5, Red Berries x8, Milk x7, Eggs x8, Honey x2.

Set up a Breeding Farm to use Cake made with Honey for Pal breeding

Once you have a Breeding Farm set up, placing a Cake in its storage along with a male and female Pal will allow them to produce an Egg, which can be incubated to hatch a new Pal. This makes Honey an indispensable resource for breeders.

Which Pals Drop Honey?

Several Pals drop Honey when defeated, captured, or butchered:

     - Beegarde – Found in Verdant Brook and near Free Pal Alliance Tower.

     - Cinnamoth – Common in Cinnamoth Forest.

Defeat Cinnamoth in Cinnamoth Forest to gather Honey quickly

     - Elizabee – Typically found with Beegarde in the same locations.

Capture and butcher Elizabee for additional Honey drops

     - Warsect – Located in No.2 Wildlife Sanctuary, north of Mount Obsidian.

These Pals are your primary source of Honey if you prefer an active farming method by hunting them in the wild.

Farming Honey with a Ranch

For a more passive approach, you can farm Honey at your base. To do this:

     1. Unlock the Ranch structure in the Technology Tree (Level 5).

     2. Gather 50 Wood, 20 Stone, and 30 Fiber to build it.

     3. Capture and assign Beegarde to the Ranch.

Use a Ranch to passively produce Honey by assigning a Beegarde

Beegarde will continuously produce Honey over time, allowing you to collect it without having to hunt or fight. This is the most efficient long-term strategy for acquiring Honey, especially if you plan to breed Pals regularly.

Best Locations to Find Honey-Dropping Pals

If you prefer gathering Honey from the wild, here are the best locations:

     - Cinnamoth Forest (-69, -272): Home to Cinnamoth, one of the easiest Honey-dropping Pals to catch.

     - Verdant Brook (246, -166): Good location for Beegarde and Elizabee.

     - Mossanda Forest (234, -118): Another great spot for catching Elizabee and Beegarde.

     - No.2 Wildlife Sanctuary (680, -113): Warsect spawns here, but be cautious - it’s a tough Pal to fight.

Hunt Beegarde in groups but beware of their self-destruct attack

Honey is a crucial resource in Palworld, particularly for breeding and sustaining your Pals. If you’re serious about breeding, setting up a Honey farm is the best long-term investment for ensuring you always have enough for crafting Cake.
