How to Get a Boat in Core Keeper 1.0
Crafting Your Boat Workbench
Before you can craft a boat, you need a special workbench called the Boat Workbench. Here’s how to get it:
You’ll need two crucial workstations: the Scarlet Workbench and the Table Saw. If you don’t have these set up yet, here’s what you need:
- Scarlet Workbench: Crafted with 10 Tin Bars, 15 Iron Bars, and 25 Scarlet Bars. This will be your base for advanced crafting.

- Table Saw: Crafted at the Electronics Table using 8 Wood, 5 Copper Bars, and 5 Iron Bars. This tool is essential for turning wood into planks.

Craft the Boat Workbench: Once your Scarlet Workbench and Table Saw are ready, gather 50 Planks and 15 Scarlet Bars to craft the Boat Workbench at the Scarlet Workbench. Planks are made from regular wood using the Table Saw, so get chopping!

Gathering Materials for the Boat
With your Boat Workbench ready, you’re almost set to build your boat. Here’s what you need:
You’ll need 80 Planks. To make these, chop regular wood and use your Table Saw to craft them.

Scarlet Bars: These are made from Scarlet Ore, which you’ll find in Azeos' Wilderness. Smelt the ore into bars. Collect 50 Scarlet Bars for your boat.

Mechanical Parts: These are scattered throughout various biomes, often found in destructible structures. You can also buy them from the Caveling Merchant if you've activated all the statues around the Core. You’ll need 20 Mechanical Parts.
Building the Boat
Once you’ve got all your materials, head to your Boat Workbench and craft your boat. The crafting process is straightforward, but keep in mind that you need 80 Planks, 50 Scarlet Bars, and 20 Mechanical Parts to complete it.

Exploring with Your Boat
Now that you have your boat, it’s time to hit the water! Place your boat near any water body in the Sunken Sea biome. Note that your boat won’t appear on the map, so keep track of where you dock it.
There are two types of boats you can craft:
- Regular Boat: This basic boat allows you to travel over water. It’s affordable and perfect for casual exploration.

- Speeder: For those looking for speed, the Speeder Boat is a powered vessel requiring 120 Octarine Bars (a new ore found in the Sunken Sea), 60 Coral Planks, 30 Gold Bars, and 30 Mechanical Parts. This boat is significantly faster and ideal for extensive exploration.
Crafting a boat in Core Keeper 1.0 opens up a new world of exploration. Whether you opt for the regular boat or the high-speed speeder, you’ll find navigating the Sunken Sea much more exciting and efficient. So, gather your materials, craft your vessel, and embark on aquatic adventures in Core Keeper.
