Flying Mounts in Palworld: All 29, and the Two That Fly Twice as Fast

Palworld has twenty-nine flying mounts, and their speeds do not form a smooth curve. For most of the game the ceiling creeps upward in small steps — 1,400, then 1,600, then 1,800 — and then at Technology 66 the list roughly doubles, with four Pals sitting between 2,700 and 3,300 while everything below tops out at 1,800. Knowing where that break sits tells you when to stop upgrading and when it is finally worth it.
The Fastest Flyers

| Mount | Sprint | Run | Tech | Stamina |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jetragon | 3300 | 1700 | 70 | 110 |
| Panthalus | 3000 | 3000 | — | 100 |
| Shaolong | 2800 | 1400 | 77 | 100 |
| Eidrolon | 2750 | 1400 | 68 | 130 |
| Eidrolon Ignis | 2750 | 1400 | 76 | 130 |
| Xenolord | 2700 | 1700 | 66 | 300 |
| Frostallion | 1800 | 1200 | 62 | 300 |
| Frostallion Noct | 1800 | 1200 | 62 | 300 |
| Shadowbeak | 1600 | 1100 | 47 | 250 |
| Selyne | 1600 | 1000 | 53 | 300 |
Jetragon at 3,300 is still the fastest thing in the sky, and it is not close — nearly twice Frostallion's 1,800. Its weakness is the stamina column: 110, the second-lowest of the top ten.
Panthalus is the strangest entry in the game. It runs at 3,000 and sprints at 3,000 — identical numbers, which means it never slows down and never needs to sprint. It also appears on the water list at the same 3,000, making it the only Pal that moves at full speed in two elements at once.
Xenolord is the flyer to actually plan around. At 2,700 sprint on 300 stamina it gives up 18% of Jetragon's speed for nearly three times its endurance — and it arrives at Technology 66, four levels earlier.
Eidrolon and Eidrolon Ignis are identical in flight — 2,750 sprint, 1,400 run, 130 stamina — and differ only in the technology level that unlocks them (68 against 76). If you have Eidrolon, the Ignis variant adds nothing to your travel.
Speed Against Stamina

A flying mount's stamina is the length of your leg, and the top of the speed table is unusually poor at it:
| Mount | Sprint | Stamina |
|---|---|---|
| Jetragon | 3300 | 110 |
| Shaolong | 2800 | 100 |
| Eidrolon | 2750 | 130 |
| Xenolord | 2700 | 300 |
| Frostallion | 1800 | 300 |
| Suzaku | 1100 | 350 |
| Astegon | 1100 | 300 |
Suzaku carries the most stamina of any flyer at 350, and it arrives at Technology 43 — twenty-three levels before Xenolord. At 1,100 sprint it is slow, but for a long survey flight it stays up longer than anything else available at that point.
The pattern is consistent: the fastest flyers have the shortest legs. Jetragon, Shaolong and Eidrolon all sit at 100–130 stamina; Xenolord, Frostallion, Selyne and Astegon all sit at 300. You are choosing between crossing the map quickly with stops and crossing it slowly without them.
Xenolord is the only Pal that refuses the trade. 2,700 sprint and 300 stamina is the best combination in the list, and it is the reason Technology 66 is a bigger milestone than Technology 70.
What to Fly Before Technology 66

The flying ladder before the endgame break:
| Tech | Mount | Sprint | Stamina |
|---|---|---|---|
| 15 | Nitewing | 750 | 100 |
| 20 | Elphidran | 1000 | 130 |
| 25 | Helzephyr | 1100 | 170 |
| 29 | Beakon | 1200 | 160 |
| 33 | Ragnahawk | 1300 | 150 |
| 38 | Quivern | 1400 | 220 |
| 43 | Suzaku | 1100 | 350 |
| 47 | Shadowbeak | 1600 | 250 |
| 53 | Selyne | 1600 | 300 |
| 62 | Frostallion | 1800 | 300 |
Quivern at Technology 38 is the value pick of the mid-game. 1,400 sprint on 220 stamina is a genuine step up from Ragnahawk, and it holds the top spot for nine technology levels.
Shadowbeak at Technology 47 is the mid-game ceiling. 1,600 sprint on 250 stamina, and nothing beats it until Selyne matches the speed with more stamina at 53.
Frostallion at Technology 62 is the last stop before the break — 1,800 sprint, 300 stamina, and it changes your attack type to Ice with a +10~40% attack bonus and Freeze buildup while mounted, which no other flyer on this list does at that magnitude.
Two entries here are worth skipping. Vanwyrm and Vanwyrm Cryst (Tech 21 and 22) both fly at 850 sprint — slower than Elphidran, which you unlocked at Technology 20. Helzephyr Lux at Technology 47 flies at 1,100, identical to the base Helzephyr from Technology 25, so it is a type-swap unlock rather than a travel one.
Practical tips
- 29 flying mounts; the speed ceiling roughly doubles at Technology 66.
- Jetragon is fastest at 3,300 sprint — but only 110 stamina.
- Panthalus runs and sprints at 3,000, and swims at 3,000 too.
- Xenolord (2,700 sprint / 300 stamina) is the best all-round flyer.
- Suzaku has the most stamina at 350, from Technology 43.
- Eidrolon and Eidrolon Ignis are identical in flight.
- Skip Vanwyrm — 850 sprint is slower than the Elphidran you already have.
Running your own Palworld 1.0 server
A flying mount turns the map into a shared space rather than a set of separate journeys — but only if everyone is in the same world when they take off. A gamever Palworld server keeps that world live around the clock with full crossplay, automatic updates and one-click backups, so a base on the far side of the map is somewhere the group actually goes.
Conclusion
Palworld's twenty-nine flying mounts climb in small steps and then jump. Jetragon leads at 3,300 sprint but carries only 110 stamina; Panthalus is the oddity, running and sprinting at 3,000 and swimming at the same speed; Shaolong (2,800) and the identical Eidrolon pair (2,750) fill out the top. The mount worth planning around is Xenolord at Technology 66 — 2,700 sprint on 300 stamina, the only Pal in the list that refuses the usual speed-for-endurance trade. Below the break, the ladder runs Nitewing (Tech 15) → Elphidran (20) → Helzephyr (25) → Beakon (29) → Ragnahawk (33) → Quivern (38) → Shadowbeak (47) → Selyne (53) → Frostallion (62), with Suzaku at Tech 43 offering the largest stamina pool in the game at 350. Skip Vanwyrm, which is slower than the Elphidran that precedes it.
