Enemy Camps in Palworld: Factions, Tiers & What They Drop

Enemy Camps are the human faction bases scattered across Palworld's biomes, and they are the most reliably profitable content most players ignore. They drop weapon and armor schematics — the items that decide whether your gear comes out Common or Legendary — plus Pal Souls, Legendary Spheres and treasure maps. Here is who runs them, how they scale, and what to bring.
What They Are
Enemy Camps are hostile locations controlled by human factions where you raid for loot and resources. They sit squarely in mid-to-late-game content — they require preparation and real combat rather than a level advantage.
They appear across multiple biomes:
- Grassland camps — multiple variants
- Desert camps — multiple variants
- Forest camps — multiple variants
They are tiered by difficulty, from early-game camps that drop Small Pal Souls up to late-game boss camps offering Large Pal Souls and Legendary Spheres.
One honest note: respawn mechanics are not documented at this time. Treat a camp as a one-off until you have seen it repopulate yourself.
Who Runs Them

Two factions operate the documented camps:
- Rayne Syndicate — desert regions
- Free Pal Alliance — forest regions
Those names should be familiar. The Rayne Syndicate is Zoe's faction, whose tower you clear at Level 10. The Free Pal Alliance is Lily's, at Level 20. Raiding their camps is the same conflict at a smaller scale.
They are also two of the four factions that send raiders at your base — alongside the Brothers of the Eternal Pyre and the PAL Genetic Research Unit. Human faction raiders are considerably more dangerous than wild Pal raiders because they carry firearms and explosives, and they will kill your working Pals rather than just breaking walls.
What You Get

| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Weapon schematics | Crossbows, handguns, muskets and more |
| Armor schematics | Various heat- and cold-resistant variants |
| Pal Souls | Small at low tiers, Large at boss camps |
| Spheres | Including Legendary Sphere from boss camps |
| Other | Currency, training manuals, technical books, treasure maps |
The schematics are why you go. Schematics set the rarity of what you craft, and rarity is a straight damage multiplier — a Legendary Plasma Rifle hits for 2,232 against a Common's 1,860, roughly 20% more. Across a full loadout that is a bigger upgrade than most tier jumps, and camps are one of only a few sources.
The Pal Souls are the other genuine value. They feed the Statue of Power to raise an individual Pal's stats, and they convert upward at a Crusher — 2 Medium = 1 Large, 2 Large = 1 Giant, for 10 Gold Coins each step. So even Small Pal Souls from an early camp are never wasted.
How to Raid One

Human enemies fight differently from Pals — they use guns and explosives, and they focus fire. Two counters matter more than raw stats:
1. Aegidron. Its Indestructible Fortress partner skill gives the party 60% less explosive damage and immunity to Stun. Getting stunned mid-fight is what actually loses camp raids, and no accessory provides Stun immunity — only this Pal.
2. The Advanced Shield at Technology Level 60. It gives 1,800 self-repairing shield HP, effectively a second health bar, and it regenerates between engagements. It is the single biggest survivability jump available before the ancient tier, and it costs no gold at all — unlike the Ancient Shield's 10,000,000.
If you are deep enough into the tech tree, the Explosion-Resistant Undershirt (Legendary, Technology Level 76) grants full explosion immunity rather than Aegidron's 60% reduction. It costs Mythical Wood x50, which one Level 80 relic farm can cover.
Beyond that:
- Bring ranged weapons. The Heavy Assault Rifle (Tech 70, 1,615 Attack) is the best affordable option; the Prototype Shotgun (Tech 69) handles anything that closes.
- Wear biome-appropriate resistance — desert camps drain you the same way the Desiccated Desert tower does.
- Bring Lyleen if you have one. Its partner skill restores 80~90% of the Health of you and your whole party on activation, which turns a failing raid into a recoverable one.
Practical tips
- Go for the schematics. Rarity is roughly a 20% damage difference on a top-tier weapon.
- Aegidron's Stun immunity has no accessory equivalent and is the single best pick for camp raids.
- Advanced Shield at Tech 60 — 1,800 self-repairing HP for no gold. Take it before attempting late camps.
- Never discard Small Pal Souls. Four convert into a Giant for 20 gold total.
- Respawn behaviour is not documented. Do not plan a farming route around camps until you have confirmed one repopulates.
Running your own Palworld 1.0 server
Camp raids are group content — several human enemies with guns is a very different fight with three people than with one. A dedicated Palworld 1.0 server keeps the world persistent so a squad can hit camps whenever people are free rather than waiting on a host, supports full crossplay so platform never blocks a friend, and protects the schematics and souls you earn with one-click backups and automatic updates.
Conclusion
Enemy Camps are faction bases run by the Rayne Syndicate in deserts and the Free Pal Alliance in forests — the same organisations whose tower bosses you fight and whose raiders attack your base. They are tiered from early camps dropping Small Pal Souls to boss camps dropping Large Pal Souls and Legendary Spheres, and their most valuable loot is weapon and armor schematics, which set crafting rarity and are worth roughly 20% damage on a top-tier weapon. Bring Aegidron for Stun immunity, the Advanced Shield for its 1,800 self-repairing HP, and ranged weapons — these are gunfights, not Pal battles.
