How Work Suitability Actually Works

 

    Every Pal has one or more of twelve Work Suitability types, each rated from Lv1 to Lv8. The level determines how fast that Pal completes the job and, for some stations, whether it can use the station at all — a high-tier furnace or workbench requires a minimum suitability level before a Pal will operate it.

 

    The twelve job types are Kindling, Watering, Planting, Generating Electricity, Handiwork, Gathering, Lumbering, Mining, Medicine Production, Cooling, Transporting and Farming.

 

Two practical rules follow from this:

 

1. A higher level is not just faster, it is sometimes mandatory. Endgame stations gate on suitability level, so a Lv8 worker unlocks capacity a Lv3 worker cannot reach at any speed.
2. Breadth is a trap if it is shallow. A Pal with six jobs at Lv2 will wander between stations doing everything slowly. A Pal with two jobs at Lv7–8 is usually more valuable.

    Dandilord is the best single base hire in the update. It has the top Planting rating in the game (Lv8), strong Handiwork and Medicine Production at Lv6 each, and it still hits 910 – 1,153 Attack at Level 80 if you need it in a fight. Very few Pals are simultaneously best-in-class at a station and combat-viable.

 

    Silvance is the one to grab if your bottleneck is healing items — Medicine Production Lv8 is the highest in the update, and it covers the farm and the workbench on the side.

 

    Dualith is the sleeper. Nothing it does is best-in-class, but Mining Lv6, Transporting Lv6 and Lumbering Lv5 together mean it keeps an entire resource loop moving without you micromanaging it.

    A handful of 1.0 Pals do not work a station themselves so much as make everyone else better. These are easy to overlook and disproportionately strong:

 

• Clovee — Happy Clover: while at a base, raises the Gathering Work Suitability level of all other Base Pals by +1. Does not stack.
• Smokie Cryst — Cryo Instincts: while at a base, raises the Cooling Work Suitability level of all other Base Pals by +1.
• Tetroise — Masonry Archelon: rideable, and grants +1 Mining Work Suitability to all other Base Pals.
• Woolipop Terra — Bitter Pop: reduces Base Pal Hunger depletion by 15–25%, and sometimes drops Caramel Cotton Candy at the Ranch.

 

    A +1 to a whole base is often worth more than swapping one worker for a slightly better one — especially the Mining and Gathering buffs, which push several mid-tier workers over station thresholds at once.
