What is Valheim Plus?

If you've only heard of one Valheim mod, it's probably Valheim Plus.

ValheimPlus is a community-made mod for Valheim that adds a wide range of features and improvements to the game. The mod is designed to enhance the gameplay experience and provide players with more options and control over their game. ValheimPlus is not an official mod, but it has gained a lot of popularity within the Valheim community due to its many features and improvements.

 

This mod, uploaded to NexusMods by user nXxyz, combines a number of quality of life improvements with an expanded construction mode, much to the delight of many Vikings more prone to architecture.

 

The mod adds a more detailed and informative UI, including a minimap, a clock, and more.

 

Small improvements include the ability to easily change your character's carry weight, meal duration and stamina usage, allowing you to effectively customize your character's strength and physique under a different name. It also makes it easier for players to swap cards in cooperative play.

ValheimPlus allows players to customize various server settings, such as the day/night cycle, weather, and more.

 

However, the headliner is definitely a building mode, represented by the mod. Valheim does not currently have a built-in creative mode, although you can use debug codes to unlock some similar effects.

 

However, with Valheim Plus, you can place objects much more accurately than in the vanilla game, even with tethering disabled. It also allows you to move building pieces without destroying or remodeling them, saving time for everyone and eliminating a source of frustration for anyone who builds with an artistic vision.

We've already seen players do some extremely creative building projects in Valheim, so it'll be great to see what these builders do in the advanced building mode.

 

The mod adds new combat options, such as the ability to dodge and parry attacks.
