The Wild Hunt in Dragonwilds: Three Hearts, and a Terrorbird You Can Ride

Willow groves in Fellhollow.

The Wild Hunt arrived with Eye on Ashenfall 0.10 on 15 December 2025, and it is the shortest route to a mount in Dragonwilds. Vannaka asks you to hunt down three nature spirits in Fellhollow's willow groves and bring back their primordial hearts. In exchange he performs a garou ritual from before Kuldra's reign and gives you access to a terrorbird mount.

RequiresPartial completion of Withering Heights, for access to Fellhollow
Items neededThree primordial hearts
RecommendedGood armour and weapons, food
EnemiesThree nature spirits

Only partial completion of Withering Heights is required — you need access to Fellhollow, not the finished quest. That makes this reachable earlier than its region suggests.

What a Nature Spirit Looks Like

The description is specific and worth memorising before you go looking:

These spirits can only be found in willow groves at or around the western area of Fellhollow and will look like white glowing terrorbirds.

White glowing terrorbirds, in willow groves, in western Fellhollow. That is three filters, and applying all three saves a lot of wandering — an ordinary terrorbird is a 195-health, power-level-3 creature weak to Stab and resistant to Air, and it is not what you are after.

The willow grove requirement is the useful one. Willow is a specific tree type, so you are looking for a stand of them rather than sweeping the region.

The Three Locations

Card listing the three nature spirit locations in Fellhollow.

The walkthrough offers three named spots for anyone who would rather not sweep the region:

SpiritLocation
1North-west of the druid's circle, in the Emberwood area
2The Dragon's Run area
3The southern section of Witchwillow Range

Witchwillow Range is the one whose name gives it away — willow groves in a place called Witchwillow is not a coincidence.

Those three are enough to complete the quest without searching at all. Any spirits you find beyond the three you need are not wasted: extra hearts convert to 50 soul fragments each at Vannaka.

The Reward Is a Mount, and It Is Bound to ALT

The reward line is short and contains one piece of information nobody discovers on their own:

Access to a terrorbird mount (press the ALT key).

The mount is summoned with ALT. It is not in a menu, it is not an item you equip, and there is no prompt. A player who completes the quest and does not read the reward text carefully will finish The Wild Hunt and never realise they have a mount.

Press ALT. That is the whole interface.

The Ritual, and What It Implies

Card noting the garou ritual framing of the Wild Hunt reward.

The framing matters for understanding what you are getting. Vannaka does not give you a tamed bird — he uses an old garou ritual from before Kuldra's reign to imbue you with the essence of these spirits.

So the terrorbird is a summon rather than a pet: there is nothing to feed, nothing to stable and nothing to lose. That is why it answers to a keypress rather than living somewhere.

It also places the quest in the wider lore. Kuldra is the dragon at the centre of Dragonwilds' main chain, and a ritual predating her reign is the game telling you the garou had their own traditions before the dragons arrived — which is the same thread the Garou enemy family and the Garou decoration set run on.

Running your own Dragonwilds server

A mount changes how far a group ranges from base, and ranging far only pays off on a world that is still there when you get back. A gamever Dragonwilds server keeps Ashenfall persistent with automatic updates and one-click backups.

Conclusion

The Wild Hunt was added with Eye on Ashenfall 0.10 on 15 December 2025 and needs only partial completion of Withering Heights for Fellhollow access. Speak to Vannaka west of Cathan in Bleakfields Valley, then hunt three nature spirits — identifiable as white glowing terrorbirds in willow groves in western Fellhollow, distinct from the ordinary 195-health terrorbird. Three known locations save the search entirely: north-west of the druid's circle in Emberwood, in Dragon's Run, and in the southern section of Witchwillow Range. Extra hearts beyond the three required convert to 50 soul fragments each. The payout is a terrorbird mount, granted through a garou ritual from before Kuldra's reign that imbues you with the spirits' essence rather than handing you an animal — which is why it is a summon with nothing to feed or stable. And the detail that decides whether you ever use it: press ALT.
