The Dungeon Elixir Chests in Palworld: A Guaranteed Permanent Stat Point, Eleven Times

A special chest in a Palworld dungeon.

Palworld's permanent stat items — the Remedies and Elixirs that raise Health, Stamina, Attack, Work Speed and carrying capacity for good — are normally a crafting project gated behind Predator Cores, which come only from Rampaging Pals. There is a second route almost nobody uses. Eleven dungeon chests each carry a two-entry table where both entries drop at 100%, and one of those entries is always a Remedy or an Elixir.

Two entries per table, both at 100%. There is no roll, no rarity and no bad outcome — open the chest and you get the gold and the item, every time.

The Gold Ladder Is Perfectly Regular

    Look down the gold column and the pattern is exact. Every band is 300 wide, and every region steps up by exactly 300: 1,000 → 1,300 → 1,600 → 1,900 → 2,200 → 2,500 → 2,800 → 3,100 → 3,400 → 3,700 → 4,000.

Eleven steps, no gaps, no repeats. That regularity is the clearest possible statement that these chests are a designed progression ladder rather than incidental loot — and it means the gold figure alone tells you where a chest sits in the sequence.

The Item Ladder Is Not

Card showing that the Palworld elixir chest item tiers do not follow the gold ladder.

The item column does not follow the gold ladder, and the exception is worth knowing before you plan a route.

Volcano001 sits at 2,200–2,500 gold — one step below Dessert001's 2,500–2,800 — and drops a Burden Elixir while the desert drops a Might Remedy. Elixirs are the higher tier: a Remedy grants +1 to its stat, an Elixir grants +2. So the volcano chest is simultaneously worth less gold and worth more stat than the one above it.

Everything after Volcano001 is an Elixir, and everything before it is a Remedy — except Dessert001, which is the single Remedy sitting inside the Elixir half of the ladder. If you are choosing between a volcano dungeon and a desert dungeon on stat value alone, take the volcano.

What the Full Set Covers

    Across the eleven chests:

Remedies (+1 each) — Speed, Vital, Stamina, Burden, Might. All five stats appear exactly once.

Elixirs (+2 each) — Burden, Stamina, Speed, Vital, Stamina, Might. All five appear, with Stamina twice (Snow001 and Yakushima001).

Add it up and clearing one of each chest is worth 5 points from Remedies plus 12 points from Elixirs — seventeen permanent stat points, with Stamina getting the largest share at +1 from its Remedy and +4 from its two Elixirs.

For comparison, crafting that many Elixirs the normal way costs 2 Predator Cores each, and Predator Cores drop only from Rampaging Pals. Six Elixirs is twelve Predator Cores you did not have to hunt.

How to Actually Use This

Card explaining how to route Palworld dungeon runs for Elixir chests.

  • Recognise the table by its gold. The 300-wide band tells you which chest you are looking at, and therefore which item is coming.
  • Prioritise the six Elixir regions — Volcano, Snow, Sakura, Viking, Yakushima and Skyland. Each is +2 against a Remedy's +1.
  • Take Volcano before Dessert. Lower gold, better item.
  • Do not skip these for the schematic chests. A schematic is a roll; this is a guarantee.
  • Remember the stat is permanent and Pals cannot use them. Both Remedies and Elixirs are ineffective when consumed by a Pal — these are player stats only.
  • Yakushima and Snow both give Stamina Elixirs, so if Stamina is not your bottleneck, those two are the ones to deprioritise.

Conclusion

Palworld hides eleven dungeon chests with two-entry loot tables where both entries drop at 100% — a Gold Coin band and a permanent stat item, with no roll involved. The gold ladder is perfectly regular: eleven bands, each 300 wide, stepping from 1,000–1,300 up to 4,000–4,300 with no gaps or repeats. The item ladder is not, and the exception matters: Volcano001 pays less gold than Dessert001 but drops a Burden Elixir against the desert's Might Remedy, so the lower-value chest is the better one. Across the set, all five Remedies appear once and all five Elixirs appear, with Stamina twice — seventeen permanent stat points in total for a player who clears each region once. Since Elixirs otherwise cost 2 Predator Cores each and Predator Cores drop only from Rampaging Pals, the six Elixir chests are twelve cores you never had to hunt. Both item types are player-only — Pals cannot use them.
