The 13 Effigies in Palworld: Lifmunk Is Only the First

Everybody knows the Lifmunk Effigy. Far fewer know there are thirteen effigies in Palworld — eleven more Pal effigies alongside it, plus a Mimog Effigy that arrives on its own terms. They all do the same job: you offer them to the Statue of Power to enhance your own abilities.
The statue costs Stone 20 and Paldium Fragment 10 at technology 9, which makes the whole system available long before most players start collecting for it.
All Thirteen

| Effigy | Rarity |
|---|---|
| Lifmunk Effigy | Rare |
| Lamball Effigy | Rare |
| Cattiva Effigy | Rare |
| Depresso Effigy | Rare |
| Herbil Effigy | Rare |
| Lunaris Effigy | Rare |
| Munchill Effigy | Rare |
| Pengullet Effigy | Rare |
| Relaxaurus Effigy | Rare |
| Rooby Effigy | Rare |
| Tanzee Effigy | Rare |
| Yakumo Effigy | Rare |
| Mimog Effigy | Epic |
Twelve of the thirteen share one description: "A mysterious Pal effigy that can be found all around the Palpagos Islands. Players can enhance their abilities by offering them to a certain statue."
They are scenery, not drops. Effigies are placed around the world to be found, which makes them an exploration reward rather than a farming target — and it is why players who never look up finish the game with a fraction of the available bonuses.
The Mimog Effigy is the exception, and it is worth knowing about. Its description reads: "A mysterious Pal Effigy that suddenly comes into your possession when you capture many Pals." You cannot search for it. It arrives because you have been catching things.
The Statue of Power
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Technology | 9 |
| Materials | Stone 20, Paldium Fragment 10 |
| Work suitability | Handiwork |
| Structure HP | 2,000 |
| Defence | 3 |
| Functions | Soul Upgrade (20 ranks), Enhance Player Ability (13 ranks), Pal Effigy |
The statue does three separate jobs, and most players only ever use one of them:
- Enhance Player Ability — 13 ranks, fed by effigies.
- Soul Upgrade — 20 ranks, fed by Pal Souls, running from Small Pal Soul x1 at rank 1 up through Medium souls and beyond.
- Pal Effigy — the offering interface itself.
Thirteen ranks of player enhancement against thirteen effigy types is a tidy symmetry, and it is the reason the effigy list is worth completing rather than sampling.
Build it at technology 9. Stone 20 and Paldium Fragment 10 is a starting-area cost, and every effigy you pick up before building one is a bonus you are not yet banking.
Why This Is Worth a Detour

- The bonus is permanent. An offered effigy is a standing improvement to your character, not a consumable buff.
- They cost nothing but attention. No materials, no crafting, no gold — only finding them.
- They are spread across the whole map, which means the collection tracks how thoroughly you have explored rather than how far you have progressed.
- Capturing feeds the list too. The Mimog Effigy arrives for catching many Pals, so a Paldeck run pays into the same system.
- The statue is cheap and early. Technology 9 is well before most players think about permanent upgrades.
Build the statue first, then collect. The common mistake is the reverse: accumulating effigies for hours with nowhere to offer them.
The Soul Upgrade Half

The same statue runs a second and much longer track:
| Rank | Cost |
|---|---|
| 1 | Small Pal Soul x1 |
| 2 | Small Pal Soul x2 |
| 3 | Small Pal Soul x3 |
| 4 | Small Pal Soul x4 |
| 5 | Medium Pal Soul x1 |
| 6 | Medium Pal Soul x2 |
| … | Rising through Medium and larger souls |
| 20 | The top rank |
The soul track is twenty ranks against the effigy track's thirteen, and it consumes a resource you get from killing rather than from exploring — which makes the two halves of the statue draw on completely different play.
Small Pal Souls come from ordinary Pals; Medium Pal Souls come from tougher ones such as Menasting at 1–2 per kill. Both stack into the same statue.
Do not neglect one for the other. The statue is the only structure in the game that turns both exploration and combat directly into permanent character power.
Running your own Palworld 1.0 server
Effigies are scattered across the whole map, which makes collecting them a multi-session project on a world that has to still be there. A gamever Palworld server keeps it persistent with full crossplay, automatic updates and one-click backups.
Conclusion
Palworld has thirteen effigies, not one. Twelve are Rare and share a single description — Lifmunk, Lamball, Cattiva, Depresso, Herbil, Lunaris, Munchill, Pengullet, Relaxaurus, Rooby, Tanzee and Yakumo — all placed around the Palpagos Islands to be found rather than dropped. The thirteenth, the Epic Mimog Effigy, cannot be looked for at all: it "suddenly comes into your possession when you capture many Pals." All of them feed the Statue of Power, which costs only Stone 20 and Paldium Fragment 10 at technology 9 and runs three functions — Enhance Player Ability across 13 ranks, Soul Upgrade across 20, and the effigy offering itself. The two tracks draw on opposite kinds of play: effigies reward exploration, Pal Souls reward combat, and the statue converts both into permanent character power. Build it early — every effigy found before the statue exists is a bonus sitting unbanked in your inventory.
