Palworld's Expedition Tables: Hard Boxes Are Nine Entries, and Every One Is Guaranteed

The Pal Expedition Station in a Palworld base.

Palworld runs eighteen expedition loot tables, and the difference between the normal and Hard versions is not a better roll — it is no roll at all. A normal expedition returns an 11-to-14 entry table with some items on a 50% chance. Every Hard expedition returns a 9-entry table where all nine entries drop at 100%.

Normal Against Hard

    Expedition_Grass (11 entries) — the normal version:

Ore30–50100%
Paldium Fragment10–30100%

Chikipi Poultry3–850%
Lamball Mutton3–850%

    Expedition_Grass_Hard (9 entries) — every entry guaranteed:

Sol Sphere10–20100%
Bellanoir's Slab Fragment1–2100%
Aquatic Pal Fluids10–20100%
Leather10–20100%
Ore10–20100%
Chikipi Poultry10–20100%
Lamball Mutton10–20100%
Kinship Peach1100%

The normal table has four entries on a coin flip. The Hard table has none. Every Hard expedition, in every region, is a nine-entry box where you know exactly what is coming out.

The Quantities Jump Too

The Hard version does not just remove the rolls — it multiplies the amounts:

ItemNormal GrassGrass Hard
Ancient Pal Manuscript5–725–30
Chikipi Poultry3–8 at 50%10–20 at 100%
Lamball Mutton3–8 at 50%10–20 at 100%

Ancient Pal Manuscripts go from 5–7 to 25–30 — roughly a five-fold increase on the guaranteed item that gates Training Manual crafting. Since an XL manual costs 500 Manuscripts and an L costs 100, a Hard expedition is worth about a quarter of an L manual on its own, every time.

And the food entries move from a 50% roll to a guaranteed 10–20, which is a bigger practical swing than the headline numbers suggest.

Two Items Only Hard Boxes Give

Card highlighting Bellanoir's Slab Fragment and Kinship Peach as Hard-only drops.

Two entries appear in the Hard table and not the normal one, and both matter:

Bellanoir's Slab Fragment at 1–2, guaranteed. These are the raid-summoning components, and a Hard expedition hands over one or two every single time. That converts raid access from a hunt into a schedule.

Kinship Peach at 1, guaranteed. Kinship Peaches raise a Pal's trust, and ten of them max a Pal out. So ten Hard expeditions equal one fully trusted Pal, with no other input required.

Sol Spheres at 10–20, guaranteed is the third: a high-tier sphere in bulk, from a base facility that runs while you are doing something else.

The World Tree Expeditions Are Bigger

The pattern breaks at the top. Expedition_WorldTree runs 61 entries and Expedition_WorldTree_Hard runs 49 — five to six times the size of any other expedition table.

    Expedition_WorldTree (61 entries):

DropQuantityRate
Ancient Sphere5–10100%
Paloxite15–30100%
Giant Pal Soul8–12100%
Decayed Ancient Relic1–351.613%
Dormant Ancient Relic1–325.806%
Gorgeous Ancient Relic1–312.903%
Glowing Ancient Relic1–36.452%
Glistening Ancient Relic1–33.226%

Giant Pal Soul 8–12 at 100% is the number to notice. Giant Pal Souls otherwise come from Rampaging Pals at 1–2 each, so a single World Tree expedition is worth roughly six to twelve Rampaging Pal kills — and it happens passively.

The relic ladder halves cleanly — 51.613, 25.806, 12.903, 6.452, 3.226 — with every tier dropping 1–3, so a lucky roll at the top is worth the same count as a common one at the bottom.

Expedition_WorldTree_Hard (49 entries) drops the low tiers entirely and doubles the entries: Gorgeous Ancient Relic 2–4 at 57.143%, Glowing 2–4 at 28.571%, Glistening 2–4 at 14.286% — and each of those three appears twice in the table, so the effective chances are doubled again.

What to Send Expeditions On

Card advising which Palworld expeditions to run for which reward.

  • Run Hard expeditions by default. Nine entries, all guaranteed, with roughly five times the Ancient Pal Manuscripts and Kinship Peaches and Bellanoir's Slab Fragments the normal boxes never give.
  • Ten Hard expeditions max one Pal's trust, one Kinship Peach at a time.
  • Run World Tree expeditions for Giant Pal Souls8–12 guaranteed against a Rampaging Pal's 1–2.
  • Run World Tree Hard for high relics — it removes Decayed and Dormant from the pool entirely and pays Gorgeous at 57.143%, doubled.
  • Normal expeditions are for early material bulk — 30–50 Ore and 10–30 Paldium at 100% is genuinely useful before you have mining sites.

Conclusion

Palworld runs eighteen expedition loot tables, and the normal-to-Hard difference is structural rather than incremental: a normal box like Expedition_Grass has 11 entries with four on a 50% roll, while every Hard box is 9 entries with all nine at 100%. The quantities jump alongside — Ancient Pal Manuscripts go from 5–7 to 25–30, roughly five-fold, on the material that gates Training Manual crafting at 100 per L and 500 per XL. Two items appear only in Hard boxes, both guaranteed: Bellanoir's Slab Fragment at 1–2, turning raid access into a schedule, and a Kinship Peach, of which ten max a Pal's trust — so ten Hard expeditions equal one fully trusted Pal. The World Tree tables break the size pattern at 61 and 49 entries, paying Ancient Sphere 5–10, Paloxite 15–30 and Giant Pal Soul 8–12 all at 100% — that last being worth six to twelve Rampaging Pal kills — over a relic ladder that halves cleanly from 51.613%, while the Hard version drops the low tiers and pays Gorgeous at 57.143%, listed twice.
