Junkyards in Palworld: Ten Scrap Piles, and the Only Reliable Dog Coin Farm

A scrap pile in Palworld.

Palworld has ten junkyard loot tables, one per region, and they are the most consistently ignored containers in the game. They are small — seven to fourteen entries each — and their headline items are ammunition and spheres you probably already have. What makes them worth a detour is the entry sitting in every single one: Dog Coin, a currency with no other dependable source, at 40% in eight of the ten.

Junk_SkyIsland104,500 – 5,000Sol Sphere 1–318–22 at 40%
Junk_WorldTree146,000 – 6,500Ancient Sphere 1–322–26 at 50.394%

The gold column climbs in exact 200-gold steps from 1,000 to 2,200, jumps 400 to Sakurajima's 2,400–2,600, and then breaks the pattern entirely for the endgame three — 4,000–4,500, 4,500–5,000 and 6,000–6,500. Junk_WorldTree pays six times the starting junkyard.

The sphere column climbs with it, and the top three are the reason to care: Ultimate Spheres at DarkIsland, Sol Spheres at SkyIsland and Ancient Spheres at the World Tree — the last being the capture power 64 sphere, appearing in a container most players walk past.

Dog Coin Is the Reason

Every junkyard carries Dog Coin, and the amount scales with the region:

  • Grass1 gives 2–5
  • WorldTree gives 22–26

That is roughly a nine-fold increase from the bottom table to the top, and the top one also rolls at 50.394% rather than 40%. The one exception is Junk_Snow, which drops 12–16 Dog Coin at 28.571% rather than 40% — a bigger stack at a lower chance, because Snow's table is nine entries deep and the probability is split further.

If you need Dog Coin in quantity, Junk_WorldTree is the best in the game22–26 at 50.394%, both the largest stack and the only rate above 40%. DarkIsland and SkyIsland tie at 18–22 at 40% behind it.

The Third Item Changes Halfway Down

Alongside gold and Dog Coin, each junkyard carries a crafting material at 40%, and it changes as you climb:

JunkyardsMaterial at 40%
Grass1, Grass2, ForestNail — 1–3, 2–4, 3–5
Volcano, DessertCement — 4–8
SnowCircuit Board 1–3 and Cement 4–8, both at 28.571%
Sakurajima, DarkIsland, SkyIslandCircuit Board 1–3 and Cement 4–8, both at 20%
WorldTreeAncient Civilization Core 1–3 at 20%, plus the full Ancient Relic ladder

Nails are the early-game entry that matters, because a Nail is otherwise a crafted item you spend Ingot on. Three junkyards hand them over at 40% for free, scaling 1–3, 2–4, 3–5 as you move outward.

Cement replaces Nails from the volcano onward, at a flat 4–8, and the two endgame junkyards add Circuit Boards on top — the component that gates the Refrigerator, the Electric Medicine Workbench and most late-game electricals.

The Keys

Every junkyard except Sakurajima carries a key, and the tier tracks the region:

JunkyardsKey
Grass1, Grass2Copper Key at 20%
Forest, Volcano, DessertSilver Key at 20%
SnowGold Key at 14.286%
DarkIsland, SkyIslandGold Key at 20%
Sakurajima, WorldTreeNo key at all

Three junkyards drop Gold Keys — Snow at 14.286% and both DarkIsland and SkyIsland at 20%. Snow is the earliest of the three and the stingiest; if Gold Keys are your bottleneck and you have Dark Island access, that is the better farm.

Sakurajima and WorldTree carry no key at all. Sakurajima trades it for Legendary Spheres, and the World Tree trades it for Ancient Spheres and a five-tier Ancient Relic ladder — Decayed at 12.598%, Dormant at 6.299%, Gorgeous at 3.15%, halving down the line.

What Else Is In Them

The remaining entries are ammunition and consumables at 25% each, and they track the region tier cleanly:

  • Grass1 — Arrow 5–10, Paldium Fragment 4–6, Simple Bait 2–3
  • Grass2 — Handgun Ammo 5–10, Coarse Ammo 5–10
  • Forest — Handgun Ammo 5–10, Rifle Ammo 5–10, High Quality Bait 2–3
  • Volcano — Rifle Ammo 5–10, Incendiary Grenade 1–2
  • Dessert — Rifle Ammo 5–10, Shock Grenade 1–2
  • Snow — Shotgun Shell 5–10, Assault Rifle Ammo 5–10
  • SakurajimaFlamethrower Fuel 5–10, Grenade Ammo 5–10
  • DarkIsland — Gatling Gun Ammo 5–10, Energy Cartridge 5–10
  • SkyIslandMechanical Bow Ammo 5–10, Combat SMG Ammo 5–10
  • WorldTreeBeam Scatter Ammo 5–10, Plasma Rifle Ammo 6–12, both at 20%

The volcano and desert junkyards are the grenade sources — Incendiary in the volcano, Shock in the desert — which is the tidiest thematic pairing in the set and a genuinely convenient way to stock throwables without crafting them.

High Quality Bait at 25% appears in five of the seven, which makes junkyards a quietly good bait supply for anyone running fishing spots.

Conclusion

Palworld's ten junkyard tables run seven to fourteen entries each and climb from 1,000 gold in the starting grasslands to 6,000–6,500 at the World Tree — a six-fold spread, regular in 200-gold steps only through the first seven. Their real value is Dog Coin, present in every one and scaling from 2–5 to 22–26, with Junk_WorldTree the best in the game at 22–26 on a 50.394% roll — the only rate above 40% for a currency with no other dependable source. Alongside it sits a crafting material that switches partway down the ladder: Nail at 1–3, 2–4 and 3–5 in the first three, Cement 4–8 from the volcano onward, and Circuit Boards added in the two endgame tables. Keys follow the region — Copper, then Silver, then Gold from Snow at 14.286% and from DarkIsland and SkyIsland at 20% — while Sakurajima and WorldTree drop no key at all, trading it for Legendary, Ultimate, Sol and Ancient Spheres and, at the World Tree, a five-tier Ancient Relic ladder halving from 12.598%. The rest is ammunition at 25%, with the volcano and desert junkyards supplying Incendiary and Shock Grenades respectively.
