How to turn on cheats on Valheim server

1. First, you need to become admin at your server.

 

2. Once the admin file has been saved and server restarted, you will now be able to access the console command in the Valheim Dedicated Server.

 

3. To access the console command, press the “F5” key on your keyboard. This will open the console command window.

 

4. To execute a command, type in the command followed by the appropriate arguments and then press enter. Before you can use any cheat codes, you must first enter the following command: devcommands.

 

5. To exit the console command window, press the “F5” key again.

 

6. Your Valheim Dedicated Server should now be able to execute console commands. Enjoy!

 

Note:

Since Valheim version 0.148.6 and later, the console is disabled by default. You need to enable it in game, by setting "-console" launch option on steam.

 

Basic Valheim Commands:

help - Prints a list of possible commands.

devcommands - Toggles access to cheat commands on/off.

save - Forces the game to save world.

ping - Pings the server and prints the delay.

clear - Clears the console.

tutorialtoggle - Toggles whether the tutorials are shown.

tutorialreset - Resets viewed tutorial messages.
