How to Tame Flightless Redtails in Enshrouded Souls of the Frozen Frontier Update
In the latest update for Enshrouded Souls of the Frozen Frontier, taming animals like the colorful Flightless Redtail has become a favorite activity. Taming these lively birds involves using the right bait and a careful approach.

Craft Bait
Begin by preparing the bait these birds prefer. For Flightless Redtail Food Bait, you’ll need:
- 1 Bell Pepper
- 1 Wheat Grain
- 1 Corncob
- 1 Dried Purple Berry

To get the recipe, visit Emily the Farmer NPC or Assistants Fenrig Mills, Jr. With all ingredients ready, you’re set to begin your search.
Locate Flightless Redtails
Flightless Redtails roam the Nomad Highlands, an open but challenging area. Once you find one, approach cautiously, as they’re sensitive to sudden movements. A question mark above its head means it’s uncertain about you, so take your time.

Move Stealthily Toward the Bird
These birds are easily startled, so crouch and approach quietly. Toss the bait nearby to catch its attention. When the bird notices the bait, a yellow heart will appear above it, showing it’s distracted enough to let you move closer.

If it seems wary (with an exclamation or question mark), back off slightly and wait until it shows interest again.

Once the bird is calm, approach slowly to interact with it. Pet the bird to raise the heart meter, which has three segments. After filling all three, the Flightless Redtail will be fully tamed.
When the heart meter is full, a red heart will appear. At this point, the Flightless Redtail is tamed, and you can pick it up and place it in a shelter or on your farm.

Provide Shelter and Care
To keep the tamed bird comfortable, set up a shelter and place an animal bed for it. Make sure it has regular access to food, such as the Flightless Redtail Food Bait, to stay healthy and content.

Taming Flightless Redtails in Enshrouded Souls of the Frozen Frontier is a fulfilling experience. With the right bait and a little patience, these birds can be valuable additions to your world. Head to the Nomad Highlands to start building your flock of these colorful companions.
