How to Tame an Alpaca in Soulmask

Taming an alpaca in Soulmask is one of the most rewarding experiences you'll have in the game. Not only do these fluffy creatures make adorable mounts, but they also help you travel faster and carry more items.

 

Locate the Ancient Ruins

 

The first step to taming an alpaca is to find one. Head to the Ancient Ruins, located southwest of your initial spawn in Highland 3. You can locate the ruins at coordinates X: 222640, Y: 107062. Be prepared to clear the fog from this area by finding and deterring a Scout in the nearby Barbarian Camp (coordinates X: 203738, Y: 104026).

Once you reach the Ancient Ruins, you’ll encounter three Outcasts—two at level 11 and one at level 12. They are quite aggressive, so make sure you’re prepared for a fight. Defeat these enemies to access the alpaca enclosure.

After clearing the Outcasts, you’ll find a baby alpaca in a small stone enclosure. Jump into the enclosure and pick up the alpaca by holding ‘E’ and select Capture button.

If you prefer, you can also find alpacas at other Ancient Ruins across the map, such as the one far to the west near the Elite Jaguar. These locations are also guarded by Outcasts, so be ready for combat.
