Speak to the Alchemist for the Quest

 

     Before you begin your search for a cat, it’s important to speak with the Alchemist to receive the special quest that unlocks all the cat-related recipes. Once you have this quest, you’ll gain access to important items like the cat bowl, cat pillow, and most importantly, cat bait. These items are crucial in attracting and taming a cat in the Frozen Frontier.

 

 

    

 

Crafting the Cat Bait

 

     You’ll need to craft cat bait before you can attempt to tame any cats. For this, gather the necessary ingredients: wolf meat, game meat, and lean meat. The raw lean meat comes from goats and hares, while raw game meat can be obtained by hunting wild pigs and deers.

 

 

    

     Additionally, you’ll need to collect stinging nettles, which cats find quite pleasant. Once you have all these materials, you can craft the cat bait by Emily the Farmer that will attract the feline to you.

 

    

 

Go to the Location

 

     The cat attraction site is just north of the Springlands Fast Travel point. Mark this on your map, and make your way over there. You can walk, but using a glider or fast travel is way faster! When you get there, you’ll find a tower in the middle of a small settlement in the Shroud. You’ll also see rats around—don’t worry, it’s all part of the process!

 

    

 

Lure the Cat with the Food

 

     Once you're in the area, equip your cat food and crouch down. Look for the cat’s alert sign—it may run off if you're too quick, so take it slow. If you see a question mark, don’t move until the cat calms down.

 

     Keep your distance, and when the cat shows curiosity, slowly approach to begin your bond in Enshrouded Souls of the Frozen Frontier Update.

 

     Throw some food on the ground and wait for the cat to approach. The cat will become curious and approach the food. When it starts eating, move slowly around it while crouching.

 

    

 

     Your goal is to pet the cat three times, but not all at once. Repeat the process of baiting three times. After several interactions, the cat will be ready for a full bond. Throw one more piece of food to get it eating, then approach slowly. Once the cat is comfortable, pet it again to seal the deal. Congratulations! You’ve tamed your very own cat!

 

    

 

Take Care of Your New Companion

 

     Once you’ve tamed your cat, you’ll need to make it comfortable. Put a cat bowl, cat pillow, and place them near a warm spot for your cat to sleep. Don’t forget the food! The cat will become happy once it has a cozy bed and regular meals.
