How to Plant Seeds in Core Keeper 1.0
Farming Essentials
Starting a farm in Core Keeper is easier than you might think! You’ll need a few key tools to get your green thumb going. First up, let’s talk about crafting your Hoe and Watering Can.
To till the soil, you need a Hoe. Head to your Workbench and combine required resources. V

- Watering Can: Keeping your plants hydrated is crucial. Craft a Watering Can using 4 Copper Bars at the Basic Workbench.

Note: At the moment, seeds can only be found in the wild—NPCs aren’t selling them just yet.
Step-by-Step Guide to Planting Seeds
Once you’ve got your tools ready, it’s time to create your farm. Follow these steps to get your crops growing:
1. Tilling the Soil: Equip your Wooden Hoe and select a plot of land. Right-click on the ground to till it. This prepares the soil for planting.

2. Planting Seeds: With your seed selected in your hotbar, right-click on the tilled soil to plant it. Make sure the seed matches the soil type.

3. Watering the Seeds: Use your Watering Can to water the newly planted seed by pressing RMB. If your can is empty, refill it from any water source.

4. Waiting for Growth: Be patient! Your plant will take about 10 real-life minutes to mature. During this time, some plants might need re-watering, so keep an eye on them.

5. Harvesting: Once mature, your plant is ready to harvest. You have a 75% chance of recovering a seed when you harvest, and this chance becomes 100% with the Grateful Gardener skill.

Tips for Efficient Farming
- Water Source: Keep a water source close to your farm to make refilling your Watering Can easier.
- Sprinkler System: If you’re in The Sunken Sea update, consider using the Core Keeper Sprinkler for automatic watering. It’s a great investment for large farms.
- Wood Farming: To create a Wood Farm, plant a Root Seed in a 5x5 area. This will give you a continuous supply of wood.

Farming in Core Keeper 1.0 is a fantastic way to gather resources and enhance your gameplay experience. With a bit of patience and some basic tools, you can turn your base into a thriving farm. So get out there, plant those seeds, and watch your crops grow!
