How to Make a Fishing Rod in Valheim
Fishing is one of the captivating mechanics in Valheim, offering players a chance to reel in a variety of aquatic treasures. However, to get started with this peaceful pastime, you'll need a fishing rod. Here's how to get one.

Find Haldor the Merchant
You'll need to find a location of Trader Haldor. Unfortunately, his location is random for each player, turning the search for him into a bit of a treasure hunt. To increase your chances, head to the nearest Black Forest biome.

Keep an Eye on the Map
Once you've successfully tracked down Haldor, a bag icon will appear on your map, indicating his whereabouts. Small bag on the map serves as a marker to ensure you don't lose sight of him. Once generated, Haldor's location remains constant, making it easier for you to return to his shop whenever needed.

Purchase the Fishing Rod and Bait
At Haldor's shop, you can acquire a fishing rod for 350 coins, an essential tool for your fishing endeavors.

Additionally, you can purchase 50 pieces of bait for an extra 10 coins. To accumulate coins, explore abandoned buildings, dungeons, or trade valuable items with Haldor himself. With your fishing rod and bait in hand, you're all set to cast your line and enjoy the tranquil art of fishing.

In Valheim, crafting a fishing rod is not possible. However, you do have the option to find a trader to obtain this important item. Head to the Black Forest, have a conversation with Haldor, and acquire your fishing essentials to embark on a relaxing and rewarding fishing adventure.
