How to Kill Trolls in Valheim
Trolls in Valheim are formidable foes with a substantial amount of health. They wield tree logs or throw massive stones as weapons, dealing significant damage to players. Trolls often appear during Valheim events, such as "The forest is moving" and "You are being hunted," which signal impending attacks on player bases.

How to Prepare for Troll Attacks
To encounter Trolls in Valheim, you need to trigger the "The ground is shaking" event, which occurs after defeating Valheim's first boss, The Elder. Once this event is triggered, Trolls will start appearing in your world.

Defeating Trolls: The Strategy
Before engaging a Troll, it's crucial to locate one. Trolls tend to patrol specific areas, often guarding caves. Once you've identified a Troll's territory, mark it on your map and retreat from the area. Trolls, especially Mountain Trolls found in the Black Forest, are relentless and will pursue you relentlessly.

After distancing yourself from the Troll's location, gather plenty of arrows, preferably Flinthead or Flaming arrows, and craft a Crude Bow. If you have access to a Fine Wood Bow, it's an even better choice.
Return to the Troll's area with your supplies. You can approach the Troll stealthily, but maintain a safe distance of around 20-30 meters. Begin firing arrows methodically while conserving stamina by avoiding unnecessary running or jumping.

As you continue firing arrows, the Troll will give chase. However, keep firing until it starts swinging its club. At that moment, sprint in the opposite direction. Repeat this process until the Troll is defeated. As long as you maintain your distance and shoot arrows when the Troll can't reach you, you'll remain safe throughout the battle.

Conclusion
Defeating Trolls yields valuable loot, including 20-30 Coins and Troll Hide. Troll Hide is a valuable resource used to craft Troll Hide armor, a significant upgrade over Leather armor.
